So very pleased by the care and expertise in removing several trees and pruning of fruit trees. Mats were used to preserve lawn from the weight of heavy equipment. The team was very efficient and the clean up was amazing. I would highly recommend this company for all tree services.

I highly recommend Southern 401 Tree Service. I've hired them to do two big tree jobs on my property: removing 9 trees in late 2017 and 12 trees in early 2019, including grinding the stumps and doing some pruning of existing trees. When Ken comes to look at the job, he provides an estimate right on the spot. Alexandra in the office is great at communication: from scheduling the estimate, to scheduling the job, to sending an email reminder of the job and an itemized invoice when it is complete. My jobs were complicated by the fact that the only way to get a truck into my backyard is to drive through my next-door neighbor's back yard. Not only was Southern 401 willing to take my jobs (despite having a backlog of other work), but they took great care to not damage my neighbor's lawn by putting down mats for the trucks to drive over. Watching the guys work, it is clear they know what they're doing and work carefully, safely, and efficiently. They also do a good job cleaning up. Ken clearly really cares about doing the job right and goes above and beyond, for example he moved a couple of rocks for me and re-shaped a small tree in my front yard, neither of which were part of the original quote. Hopefully I won't have any additional tree work to do for a long time, but I do not hesitate to recommend Southern 401 to anyone who does. Also a plus: their prices are competitive.

401 Tree Service did an unbelievable job. At the estimate they went over our options and provided 2 quotes with the options at that time. Pricing we felt was very good however not knowing what it costs to remove a tree I guess pricing is relative to the work performed. Well I can honestly say that we got every penny's worth out of this investment. Top notch service and the work performed was stellar, as you would expect from a professional company. They know trees! We were out of town when the work was performed and when we came back the yard didn't have any evidence that trees were cut down. Everything was raked as if they had never been there. The way they pruned the trees we didn't take down was perfect. We have a stone wall along the property and the trees were behind the wall. Upon completion the wall is still perfect. Not a stone out of place. How they got all the debris out of the woods is beyond us but it was done without disturbing any existing landscaping. Well done! We are very pleased with everything they did. We even made a last minute change and took down a 4th tree and the communication with their office was excellent. Very responsive and friendly. The kind of service that you would hope to get every time from every company. In today's world there is something lost with service and quality of workmanship. Not with this company. They are great and I strongly recommend them to anyone that is looking for an honest hard working company.

They did a great job. They removed the tree with no damage to the property. They cleaned up well, not one branch left on the lawn. I'll definitely use them again.

Over the past twenty years or so I have employed half-a-dozen different tree-service companies. "Southern 401" was by far the best of these. Very professional in every way: the team showed up punctually, did the work efficiently with minimum damage to the surrounding property, finished on time, and charged a reasonable price. Very pleasant people to deal with. If I need tree service in future, I certainly expect to use this company again.

A date for an estimate was scheduled quickly, and Ken returned a second time to discuss additional work with me. Any questions were promptly answered, communication was great. Ken and Pete and their crew did a fantastic job removing trees and limbs close or overhanging the house. The trees were chipped into their truck and hauled away. They were very careful of the neighbor's property, and did a great job cleaning up. The brush pile had accumulated over 9 years and was very large. Not only did they remove the brush, they also cleaned up and removed the debris that had been disintegrating over the years. We were very pleased with their work and felt the price was very fair. I would definitely recommend this company.

Ken was very accommodating in visiting the property as soon as possible to give us an estimate and in scheduling the service at our convenience. The crew arrived on time, worked hard the entire time, and finished earlier than estimated. Very pleased with the service and quality of work!

Estimate for the work was very good. Scheduled service in a reasonable amount of time. Service providers arrived on time and completed the job. Excellent work and cleaned up afterwards. Took care not to ruin lawn by using plywood for their large equipment. We would hire them again.
