Let me start with a quote from Jed " I've heard it said that a successful business arrangement is when both people walk away a little disappointed. Well, he had nothing to be disappointed about because he was paid?.well, overpaid for his work. On the other hand, my furniture was returned to me not finished per our WRITTEN agreement. My guess was that he did not know how to do what he had agreed to do??.. strip and then replace the french polish on a custom piece of furniture. If I were to use Angie's List criteria for this review , it would be as follows - Price: overpaid for work that was not done. - Quality: overspray and mediocre work on the other two items I gave him. The $3000 french polish on a cocktail table was NOT anything remotely similar to french polish ( BTW, this piece was part of a suite of furniture and now looks nothing like them) - Responsiveness: eh! - Punctuality: Yes, there when he said he would be to pick up the furniture and GET THE DEPOSIT!!! And, when it came to collect the monies he believed were due him. Speaking of the deposit, he did not deduct the deposit from the bill and actual lies owes it to me. When I asked about it, he said I should put it toward all the extra hours he put in working on my table, jack-a**!) - Professionalism: Hmmm?.refer to the above?.. PS: This was an insurance

I have taken a number of pieces to Back Alley for general repairs. They usually charge about $60 to $100 for each piece, which I think is reasonable. Sometimes, they are a bit slow, but I just plan on that. I think they do a terrific job, and I will continue to use them for other repairs.
