We have used this company many times, each time service was outstanding. Staff are very knowledgable and professional. Job site very clean when work is completed. Prompt with appraisal and showed up on date determined.

The were very professional, they did a good job cleaned up when they were done and they are easy to work with.

It went VERY well! They picked up the phone right away, came out when promised, and wrote up a reasonable estimate, given all the work. I called a few days later to follow up and we decided to add two more trees. The increase in price was modest and very reasonable. The work men came out when promised and the trees were gone when we got home, stumps included! Would highly recommend this team!

I don't understand why someone would waste time pricing a job they have no intention of doing.

The crew arrived at the designated time (8:00AM), asked questions about what was to be done while referring to work-order. They then started to set the equipment in place and began the trimming of the two trees. While one man used the bucket truck another man climbed the large silver maple and started the cutting of both trees. At the same time the third member of the crew was involved in picking the branches and other debris up and grinding the material. The crew was did the job in a timely and professional manner and I would definitely hire this company again.

A neighbor informed us that a tree on our property, but which hangs over theirs, has a problem and might be coming down. i am leaving town so wanted to act on this quickly. i first contacted Above & Beyond on Monday. They called me back right away but said they do not serve the East Side of Providence, only west of the city. They highly recommended Stanley. It was a wonderful recommendation. i called them yesterday, they arranged to have someone come at at 1 PM today. Clem called and asked if it was possible to come out an hour or so early since he had completed a job. That worked better for me. He came out, was VERY personable. He inspected the tree on both sides. He proposed a recommendation and said he could email that to me. NO CHARGE!!! i said i was more than willing to pay. He said that there were a few hanging branches far too close to our house and could give us an estimate for those. He left the estimate saying that there was no commitment. Overall, i could not be more thrilled with this company's service, in every respect. i highly recommend Stanley's, and Clem, to anyone needing a tree service. i have to say, i've never been quite this motivated to write a review. When i return and have a chance to confer with my fellow condo owners, we will hopefully have the work done. i will update the recommendation at that time.

Overall very well. They said they would dig up the roots of the unwanted shrubs but in the end said it would be too destructive for the other near-by plants. They did a great job trimming high boughs of tall trees, and even trimmed more when I asked them too.

Got several estimates Stanley Tree Service was best one. Responded to my request for an estimate within a day. They were very professional--explained exactly what they would do. I had to wait over a week for them to do the job as they had a busy schedule. They called day before scheduled date to confirm & showed up around 8:00 a.m. & were finished before noon. They cleaned up area very nicely. We were very pleased with the service. I would use they again.

From the receptionists through the supervisor who estimates jobs and to the crew that does the work all employees of Stanley Tree were excellent and did a quality job at a reasonable price. The job was made more difficult because my neighbor did not allow access to his property which required using crane which extended over my home to the rear yard to get the job done, of course due to my neighbor's stubbornness and unwillingness to understand that the padding and other precautions the Tree Service takes would protect the grass it cost me more than if my neighbor cooperated and allowed the use of a bucket truck between the land between our two homes, most of which is on my property line. The neighbor did not offer to even pay for the additional costs forget about sharing the cost to prune his tree back so it did not invade my air space and create additional and unnecessary maintenance issues in my back yard and especially my in ground pool where an unreasonable amount of acorns were falling as well as the tree blocked sun from my rear yard and the back of my home due to the overgrowth. I did a comparison of different Tree service Companies and got more than one estimate and Stanley was the best in reputation and pricing.

I opted not to utilize their services, but for no reason other than a family member recommended another company they had done business with in the past. However, Stanley Tree Services was very prompt in visiting my homesite and providing me with an quick estimate. Their quote for the tree removal was very fair and comparable to the company I ultimately chose. I would definitely call them in the future if needed.

I called Stanley Tree Service for a quote to have trees trimmed around my house. A representative showed up and we discussed the job and he wrote up a quote. The representative was professional and knowledgeable. The quote seemed a little high, but I just wanted to get the job done before winter. So I hired Stanley for the job. The Stanley representative said the lead time was about 2 or 3 weeks, and said they would call the day before to confirm. After about 2 weeks a Stanley rep called and left a voice mail saying I needed to call them to confirm that they could come to my house the next day to do the job. I was not able to call them back until early the next morning. When I called, the Stanley phone representative said that I had called too late. She said the crew was already out on another job, so it would be another few weeks before they would be able to fit my "little" job in. I questioned the representative about how they determine the order of jobs, and if it mattered that my job was small. After a little back and forth, I said that I still wanted them to do the job even though it would be another two weeks or so. I must have offended the representative with my questioning because I never heard from Stanley tree service again. I waited (and wasted) another 3 weeks waiting for a call from them. I did not want to call them because I was in no mood to deal with the phone rep again, and I didn't believe that a company would just blow off business. My OPINION is that my job was too small so the phone rep said who cares about this complaining customer, and crossed me off whatever schedule they have.

The owner himself came out to the house to assess the situation. He made several helpful suggestions I had not considered because I don't have his expertise. Provided an estimate that included the option to remove the stump of the large tree (for an additional fee). He recommended I leave the stump (which the crew cut very close to the ground) because the large roots had grown under the garage floor. Trying to remove the stump could damage the garage floor. The crew who did the work did a great job in some very tight situations and cleaned up the yard when they finished their work. A very positive experience. I highly recommend Stanley Tree Service.

Fast cut down and faster cleanup. Can't give higher praise. Will certainly use their services again. Highly recommended!!!

They were here 6 - 7 hours. They were pleasant, professional, and understood exactly what needed to be done meet my concerns for added sunlight to my yard and to protect my house from mold and limb damage. All debris was removed. At the end, it seemed that my yard was cleaner than when they started! It certainly looks great. With all the branches raised and a clear view accross the expanse of lawn, the yard is brighter and looks bigger. I am very pleased! (The only disappointment was that they were unable to leave the chips behind for my use because they had debris in the truck from a previous job.) The price quoted above represents a 10% discount for being an Angie's List member.

I have used Stanley in the past and have always been very pleased with their work, professionalism, and price. They are always punctual and clean up afterwards. Visited the site and gave an estimate within a couple days of my initial call and finished the job within two weeks; were very easy to reach to set a date. They do excellent work and I am totally pleased with the looks of our trees.

REALLY WELL ? Hal Hunt & his 2-man crew did an excellent job! In the course of their 2 days, they probably ended up working on 15 trees ? expertly, thoroughly, & neatly. Everybody at Stanley, from the estimator right on through to the stump-grinding crew (who came exactly when promised), is a professional who treats you right. I regret only that it took me so long to recommend them.

I was very satisfied with the work! They came on time and were very polite. They were just a nice company to work with!

First impression, Stan arrived early. Bravo. He was very personable, knowledgable and professional. The storms a couple of years back that felled countless trees onto houses in the Providence area left a deep impression on me. As a first-time home buyer of a historical home (built in 1888), I was concerned about a few trees that were growing too close to the house or had branches much too close to the roof. We looked at two trees in the backyard. Stan agreed that the large Maple should be trimmed back from the rear of the house. The other, an Oak, should have a leader (large branch) removed. Both trees were blocking sunlight and inhibiting air circulation which contributed to lichen/fungus growth on the roof. The branches of the oak hovered over a significant portion of the house and as Stan explained, the oaks in Providence were the main trees that fell, broke and caused huge amounts of damage a couple years back. Cost proposed: $1200 Next we looked at Lilacs that line the driveway along the side of the house and garage. Stan was patient and gave informed questions to all my questions regarding growth, pruning and allowances. Many of the lilacs were rubbing on eaves and on the slats. At the front of the house was a Japanese Umbrella Pine that had grown taller than the house and had branches literally hugging the front porch and roof. The pine was planted in a very small area, about 3'x 4', right next to the house. It had outgrown the space it was planted in. The tree would continue to grow much larger and ultimately was a problem. Despite the absolute beauty and rarity of the tree, we found it was more important to remove the tree lest we risk damage to the historical structure of the house. To trim Lilacs and remove the Japanse Umbrella Pine: $150 While the seller cut down the pine himself, Stan said he would remove the stump. Stump removal: $75 Total Estimate: $1425

They were very professional, and communicative. I decided not to use them to do any work at present mostly because I also need a tree moved and they do not provide this service so I decided to go with a tree company that could both move my tree and do some pruning work for me.

Stanley showed up promptly for the estimate. Good estimate, I told him I was not in a huge rush to get the work done (because it was right after a big storm) but would like it done by the end of the month. He assured me that when he got back from vacation in 2 weeks, he would set a date to complete the work. After not hearing from him, I left three phone messages, and emailed them from their web site, no one ever responded to the calls or emails. I eventually had to hire someone else todo the work.

Arrived on time for survey and estimate. Prompt quote. Although a little higher than other quotes, felt the professionalism was worth the cost and set a date for the work. Company had an open spot earlier than planned, called and asked if they could come the next day, luckily I was off and said yes. Arrived promptly, very courteous and probably 40+ years of experience between the two men. Plan on having them quote on a job at lake house and sons house.

Estimator carefully examined all the trees we suggested needed trimming and recommended against trimming in one case with a clear explanation as to why it should not be done. He provided a detailed estimate for trimming the other trees we had asked about and, once we accepted the estimate, the work was done within a couple of days. The crew did the job very well and in the manner agreed upon, including thorough clean-up.

The team from Stanley Tree Service (STS) did an amazing job; all personnel were extremely courteous and clearly took a great deal of pride in their work. On seeing the work done in our garden, two neighbors requested business cards from the team. Also, I sought a total of four estimates for this work and STS's was the most competitive. After this experience, I definitely would recommend Stanley Tree Service without any hesitation.

Seven men arrived early and had the whole job done in about 7 hours. Left the property completely clear and clean. Wonderful job!

The men were consumate professionals. The whole operation ran seamlessly. The cleanup was wonderful and overall a job well done. I will use Stanley Tree Service again and I highly reccomend them.
