The job went very well. There was a problem with the neighbor at first but Jeff handled it very well. He did not want to cut the branches coming over the fence but wanted to do the job right and cut them right from the tree itself. The neighbor went along with it after Jeff talked to her and told her the job would be done right. He did not want to leave a branch sticking out of the tree with no leaves on it and told her it would not look good.

Every part of the process with this company did indeed live up to it?s name - Above and Beyond Tree Service. It is refreshing to do business with a company that focuses on a higher standard of excellence and customer satisfaction rarely seen anymore. Details to follow: Initial Contact - The owner returned my call the same evening he received it. He scheduled a meeting for an estimate during lunch time on the next business day - per our request. Estimate - We received a call 15 mins. before our meeting to confirm. He arrived in a clearly marked truck and listened to our requests. He made several helpful suggestions and after about 20 mins. wrote up a proposal. It included a list of each task, the equipment it required and the proposed price. We agreed to the project and price, signed it, and kept a copy. The owner remarked that since the job would only require a half a day?s work, he could fit it in pretty soon rather than the normal several weeks out. He also asked us to speak to the neighbor?s about our plans to trim his tree on our side of the property. Work Day: The next day, the owner asked if he could proceed with the work that afternoon. We agreed. He arrived with his team, three trucks and a large chipper - all clearly marked as company vehicles. After several hours of work, the team completed the tasks and cleaned up - including clearing away the large cut branches, shredding the branches in the chipper, and raking up and blowing away any leaves and chips created. Payment - The next business day, the owner arrived to check on our satisfaction and discuss payment. He gave me the option to sent in payment but I paid him directly. As I handed him the check, I remarked that my husband said he would have cut one of the trees further back but it was dark when he saw it and wanted to inspect it during the day. The owner explained that since the tree in question belonged to our neighbor, he didn?t want to trim it too aggressively. I agreed with his caution. Followup - The next day, the owner and his team dropped by to ask if we still wanted to trim back the branches further. We did and he proceeded to comply immediately. After about 30 mins. they finished, cleaned up and left. No further payment was requested. A week later, a letter arrived checking to see if we were still satisfied, thanking us for our business and leaving us contact if we needed them in the future.

I had three companies take a look at a huge old maple in my backyard. Due to its size, location in proximity to the house and overall health, all three recommended that the tree be cut down. That is where the similarity of those three companies ended. I chose Above and Beyond for the following reasons, not necessarily in order of importance: 1) Clear, written estimate with a certificate of insurance attached, 2) Locally owned and operated, 3) the owner immediately responded to my initial phone call, and thereafter he provided excellent and timely follow-up, 4) The owner actually listened to my concerns above removing the much loved tree. He asked all the right questions and really cared about what I said and gave great advice, 5) Open to performing additional trimming/cleaning up trees and hedges in my yard for a very fair price, 6) all work could be done within very reasonable time frame, and no false promises 7) Owner instilled confidence in me that he really knew the business and had the equipment, skills and crew to do the job right. I was not disappointed! The owner took the initiative to speak to owner of the professional building next door to see if they could operate a crane and chipper in their parking lot before business hours so he would not damage my lawn. When the day came, a crew of five (maybe more) completed their specialized tasks with mind boggling precision. Among them was a crane operator, two tree cutters, guys who fed the chipper, pruners.... They were amazing to watch; I wish I could post the video I took of them. When they were done, they cleaned up all the debris and left my yard in immaculate condition. Above and Beyond is a very professional organization, a well-oiled machine that offers excellent service for an excellent price. It is not often that I can recommend a company with this much enthusiasm.

Jeff and his employees did a fine job. Jeff is very professional and knowledgeable and provides thoughtful advice. Jeff responded to my call promptly and was able to complete the work several weeks after providing an estimate. His crew cleaned up thoroughly. We are very satisfied.

He was awesome. He was wonderful. Very punctual, knowledgeable, professional. I would definitely recommend him. On pricing, I have seen lower quotes, but he was really good.

I would recommend them. They call and they show up on time. They delivered wood which is good wood.

Job performed efficiently. The owner and his crew were courteous and professional. The best thing about the job is that it was performed quickly and carefully. The worst thing is that communication could have been better between the time of the estimate and the start of service; that is, phone calls to tell me when to expect the start and a final estimate/invoice in advance.

Our property is part of an oak-pine forest. Many trees lost limbs or fell down in the October snow storm. We were fortunate that none hit the house, but dead branches remained that would eventually fall. We were impressed with Geoff Mongeon's botanical knowledge, especially regarding the instability of a double-stemmed oak that we thought was one tree with a forked trunk. I learned something new; now I see them everywhere. Together we decided which trees had to come down and which could be pruned. The Above & Beyond crew arrived within a week, did a great job, and cleaned up afterwards. We had asked them to leave the wood stacked near the trees for us to use as firewood. One tree was on a hill. When Geoff realized that the wood was rolling onto the driveway, he hired someone, at his expense, to move it off to the side. We live about an hour away. Geoff created a video-walkthrough of the job so we wouldn't have to come down there. The tenants were very pleased with the job and so were we.

They were very responsive. The pricing was reasonable and they were efficient. I would definitely recommend them to others.

He did a fabulous job and kept the place very clean. He was done with the job in about two hours which is remarkable. It looked like no one had even been there when he was done, I was very impressed. I would absolutely use his services again.

We received two quotes for the work needed. Quote from Above and Beyond was $500 lower even though it included one additional tree to be removed. All work was done as described, with very little disruption to lawn. Very happy with the results.

The work went very smoothly and efficiently. They brought a crew of five, two large trucks, and a mini-crane on tank treads to help lift the tree trunks and cart away the pieces. The only down side, and they had warned us about this beforehand, was that they were unable to take the large stumps. They didn't have large enough equipment to pull the stumps out of the ground, and since the trees had fallen over and partially pulled the roots out of the ground, they were unable to use a stump grinder. So we were left with two partially exposed stumps that were eventually chopped up by my father-in-law and my wife's uncle using chainsaws and pickaxes and a lot of hard labor!

Prompt response to quote request. Geoff is educated and professional. Price was provided immediately after he saw the job. They did a great job. Some of the trees were close to the house. No problems. Great cleanup. They even did adjacent tree trimming.

As I said, there was some mix-up with the delivery but that rectified by way of a credit. I appreciated that very much. I think my description says it all.

They go above and beyond. They were doing work in the neighbor's yard and we noticed how organized they were and how well they cleaned up. I know that he is a certified arborist, they are very well trained. It's a family business. They were the lowest of 3 quotes that we got. It was a very good value. They were wonderful, they explained everything they wanted to do and why they wanted to do it.

He is very punctual. He gave up the quote right away. He was very honest about when he would be able to fit this in. He was very conscientious. He was very good with his work and his people. I highly recommend him. I don't know about the price competitively. It was not outrageous. This is the second time I have called him. I will call him again in the future. He is excellent.
