Very pleased!! They truly go above and beyond! I needed some limbs cut down that are near my house. Geoff came out and gave me a quote. He is knowledgable and profession. The crew came today. Very efficient and clean. They cut and hauled all the limbs within the timeframe given. They even cut down and extra limb because Geoff thought it was hanging to close to my house. I would defiantly use them again and recommend them to a friend.

This was the second time we have used this company & again we were extremely pleased with the results. Geoff & his crew are the epitome of professionalism. His response to my call was immediate & I had an estimate from him the same day I called. There was a large tree that had split during a wind gust & spanned the whole back yard with one limb piercing the roof of our tool shed. The work was performed within the week &, while they were there, I asked for an estimate for taking down a limb on our neighbor's tree that was overhanging our roof. Because the space between our house & the fence is very narrow at that side, it was necessary for them to climb onto the roof to reach the limb. They managed to complete all the work in a matter of hours, including the limb of the neighbor's tree. Again I was amazed at their efficiency & the amazing cleanup which included raking the leaves that were already on the ground when they started. We have a fish pond & plants right under the fallen tree & they were able to complete the work with no damage to anything. The price was lower than expected and did not exceed the estimate. Another thing that has impressed me is Geoff's botanical knowledge. He really does know what he's talking about. We would use this company again in a heartbeat.

Did all this work (two of these tasks were extras), and took away all the debris. The yard is clean and nothing was left behind. The services were performed as proposed and done completely and thoroughly. The equipment used was cleaned and well maintained and the workers worked safely (i.e. eye protection/ear protection). The company provided certificates of insurance and all licensing information required. They did a great job and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

When Geoff came to view the property and discuss the estimate, I found him to be quite knowledgeable and honest with his advice on how best to proceed with the job. As a senior living on a fixed income, I appreciated that Geoff's price included a discount, and in my opinion the final cost was extremely reasonable for the work to be done. To do the job safely, the trees were cut down in sections. It was interesting to watch the work, and to see that prior to cutting any large branch, each cut was meticulously planned and ropes tied in place, to control where and how the branch fell. Even though one of the trees was growing in the center of a flower bed, not a single plant was damaged by a falling branch. This tree was also overhanging a gazebo, a lamp post, driveway, lawn and walkways - nothing was damaged. After the trees were cut down, both stumps were cut cleanly flat. Leaves & wood chips were cleaned up afterwards, so that the property was left in good shape. I would highly recommend this contractor - they really did go above and beyond.

I have a very large pine tree which had a very large branch growing ouf of its side, parallel to the ground for much of its length. This limb was itself the size of a good-sized tree, maybe two feet in diameter. I couldn't figure out how it could exist without breaking or pulling the tree over, then this summer I noticed the branch had begun to crack. I've used Above & Beyond before with great results, so I called Geoff again. Geoff personally brought his crew out and instructed them on how to remove this giant branch safely while minimizing damage to the smaller trees and shrubs beneath the branch and protecting the tree itself. Because of the location, it was impossible for Geoff to bring in the usual crane and boom, so his man had to climb the tree with the aid of ropes and harnesses, then cut the limb in sections while hanging 15-20 feet off the ground in a sling. As usual, they did a great job with only minor damage to a couple small, young trees beneath. After they were done, the only sign they'd been there was some sawdust on the soil at the base of the tree, and the absence of the damaged limb (and a few other limbs they had to trim to get to the damaged one). All branch removals were done perfectly and cleanly so the tree will be able to heal nicely after its surgery. Geoff acknowledged the price was a little high, but it was necessitated because without the aid of heavy equipment (see above), the job was much more time-consuming and tricky. I feel the price was fair.

Excellent. Geoff was very professional and great to work with. I obtained 3 estimates for the work I wanted done and they were the lowest. They showed up right on time and the workers were very courteous and did a great job cleaning up when completed. After getting the estimate, I asked Geoff if he could add a couple more trees and that was not a problem. They even trimmed a couple trees for me at no extra charge. I also asked them to leave me the wood from the locust tree, which they did. They also cut it up for me at no extra charge. They also gave my next door neighbor a very reasonable price to trim two of their trees and did it the same day they were at my house. Overall we were very pleased and would definitely use the company again. They truly do go above and beyond.

The owner came to my house, look at the tree, gave me a price in writing, I said OK, 3 week later showed up and did the job that was stated on the estimate.

Geoff and his crew did an exemplary job. They were good communicators and did their jobs thoroughly, leaving the yard, driveway and street almost without a trace. Given the scope of the job I was surprised at how quickly the crew worked. They checked in several times to make sure I approved of the trimming. They did an excellent job and were a pleasure to work with. I plan to hire them again in the winter to take care of some more of Our tree work.

We are "above and beyond" satisfied with the work and professionalism that Geoff and his team exemplify. They should be a model to how all contractors/businesses treat their customers and run their business. We've used them twice already for tree removal and am even more impressed that they took the time to care and clean up the surrounding areas. Our most recent service we had a few stumps removed and after they finished, the workers used a blower to clean up sand/leaves from our driveway and deck. We have a wrap around deck and we don't own a blower, so that saved us a lot of time if we had to do it ourselves! The workers were very courteous, I had forgotten to show them one of the stumps after they had already put their machine away. But they kindly took the machine back out to do it. I highly recommend Above and Beyond for all your tree services, you won't be disappointed!

Geoff was really prompt in providing an estimate for the work done. He was hung up on providing the service because winter just would go away and he wanted to make sure that the bugs on the hemlocks were no longer dormant before he put on the insecticide. Great attention to detail and a reasonable rate. Would use again or recommend to anyone who needs comprehensive tree/shrub service.

Great. They amazingly finished the job all in one day. I left for work, and came home to a whole new property. They accomodated our schedule, showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves. Never have to worry about these guys as they've proven they are true pro's and can be counted on. Geoff even made a good recommendation on a good company to do siding on our house. We'll certainly use Above and Beyond again when the need arises.

Geoff had quote on the job back in October 2013 ... my husband and I were not positive we wanted to remove the tree but after thinking about it for the winter we decided removing the tree was the way to go. I contacted Geoff via email to see if he would be able to remove the tree and grind the stump. He promptly responded and honored the pricing he had provided back in Oct.!!! Not only did he remove the tree and grind the stump but left a remarkably clean work area afterwards. AAA+++ for a great job done!

My husband and I hired Geoff about 1.5 years ago to remove 7 trees and trim back some others that were close to the house. He came over and evaluated the health of the trees and the direction they were growing and recommended which ones we needed to trim and which should be removed for the placement of a new shed and proximity to the house. He was honest and very prompt. We needed the work done ASAP as we had already ordered the shed. He moved things around to do our work in the short window needed and my husband and I were very happy with the work. We recently moved to a new house and needed some trees removed and trimmed and we called him again. Geoff provided the same high quality and prompt service. We would hire again in a second!

Geoff was extremely professional in his evaluation of trees in our back yard. He and his crew arrived promptly as promised and completed the job extremely quickly. They cleaned up thoroughly after tree/limb removal and they were competitively priced. We will be bringing them back in the spring for follow up work on our remaining trees.

They came in about 10:15 am and were done before 2PM. Some of the branches hung over my neighbor's yard and they were able to bring everything into my yard with their bucket truck..They cut the tree down to the ground, chipped all the branches and hauled everything away. They had all the necessary equipment and did a very professional job and left my yard very clean. Thank you guys! Excellent work.

This was my first use of Angie's List. I was looking for a tree service to provide me with a quote for the removal of 4 trees. These trees are actually on my neighbor's property but they are causing damage to a wall & garage on my property. I wanted to have some information before I go to talk to the neighbors. I left a voice mail for Geoff @ Above & Beyond. He promptly returned the call and I laid out the entire situation for him . I told him there wasn't any big rush as ultimately it is the neighbor's responsibility to have the trees removed but I would like to find out an approx cost so I can let them know. Geoff was very understanding & said he'd stop by when he was in the area. Two days later I had a quote in my e-mail along with some recommendations, ( I was initially only looking at 2 trees, but Geoff said all 4 should come down). The ball is in my court. This weekend I go to talk to the neighbors, hopefully the outcome will be positive and I will highly recommend that they contact Geoff at Above and Beyond to have these trees removed.

Typical contractor.... I called Above & Beyond to get a quote for tree trimming service at my house. Once I was finally able to get someone on the phone, I explained that I had heard about Above & Beyond through Angie's List, then described the scope of work I wanted done. We agreed that Above & Beyond would come by my house in the next few days while I was at work, and then call me back with an estimate or any further questions. Never heard from them again. Typical contractor. I've had to chase contractors in the past to get work done but for tree trimming service its not worth it.

Jeff is one of the most knowledgeable and professional people I have ever dealt with. His work is excellent. As stated by other reviewers he left the yard in such good condition, you couldn't tell he had been there. I highly recommend this company and will be sure to use them again the next time I need tree service.

I contacted several tree services and got estimates from three. Geoff Mongeon, owner of Above & Beyond, came out to my home in person and took time to look at the tree and explain what it would take to cut it down safely and convert the trunk into firewood for me. He gave me options on the pricing (tree removed completely v. trunk cut up for firewood), and even cheerfully and thoroughly answered a couple tree care questions I had. Technically Above & Beyond was the most expensive quote I got, but all three services which provided pricing were within about $100 of each other, so I considered the price reasonable. I chose Above & Beyond because it is a small business and because, looking at the reviews here and Geoff's response to one or two of them, it's clear to me that Geoff cares very, very much about his business and its reputation. He was always very responsive to my email and voice mail messages, and I was not surprised that he came with the crew on the day of the job and personally supervised the work the entire time the crew was on site. His crew was also very professional, even in small details. For example, I observed one man carefully put out his cigarette on a stone, then put the butt in his pocket. The tree, which was probably about sixty or seventy feet high, was very close to a fence and arched over my neighbor's garage, so the removal process required careful work in confined spaces and the use of a crane. Still, all was completed safely and quickly (the whole process, from trucks rolling up to driving away only took about 80 minutes). Most of the work was done from my neighbor's driveway (with his permission), and when the work was done and Geoff and his crew left, the work area was spotless--not a twig, leaf, or piece of sawdust anywhere. I elected to have the trunk left behind, but cut into fireplace lengths, and that is exactly what I got. I really cannot think of anything they could have done better.

I like everything about them, we've been using them for years. They're reliable, careful, they know what they're doing, they clean up after themselves, and they're respectful of my perennial garden. This company had been working in our house for years.

Large tree branch split on Sunday night 7 July overhanging street with potential to fall onto passing people/autos. Above and Beyond met me at my location one hour after my call on Monday morning. This was a very large tree overhanging our barn in addition to the split. I thought it was best to remove the entire tree while Above and Beyond was dealing with the split. We agreed on a price and scheduled the removal for Wednesday. A large crew with several vehicles (28 ton crane, cherry picker, log skidsteer, chipper and dump truck) arrived first thing Wednesday to tackle the job. Crew was friendly, professional, organized and neat. Tree was removed, logs cut and placed where requested, brush and leaves swept and sent through chipper. Site was leaf blown and swept prior to their departure at about 1:30. Above and Beyond like their company name exceeded my expectations for a fair price. I will use their services again as I deal with other trees on my property in the future.

I originally thought the price quote a little high, but when I saw all the equipment and the large team I now think it was a bargain. The team showed up on time and quickly threaded a large truck between my and my neighbor's house. They laid boards to protect the grass and quickly and efficiently removed the three trees and many limbs that we needed gone. They did some additional trimming for that they missed during the original walk-through/estimate for no charge. They had the worlds largest chipper and removed every last branch and twig. After they left it was amazingly clean - no damage to the grass where they drove the truck, no debris, nothing. I am very pleased with the work they did, how quickly and efficiently they did it. Their recommendation was spot on and I now have a much brighter patio as a result. Would definitely use them again. Highly recommended.

Every time I have used Geoff from Above and Beyond they do just that, Geoff goes above and beyond for you, he comes out personally to meet with you, and give his expertise. The price he gave me is the final price, no hidden fees after the job is complete. Work is always done at the time he tells you it will be, and always cleaned up. This last time he did work for me I was away on vacation, when I returned, I didn't even know they were there. My yards was exact how I left it, minus a tree of course, the tree was gone, stump removed but no mess, everything was clean. As far as I'm concerned there is only one tree service company, Above and Beyond. Thanks again Geoff for doing what you guys due best.

Above & Beyond Tree Service is excellent. They're very professional and very knowledgeable. They had a good plan in place. When they left, it was like no one had ever been here. They were prompt. He came when he said he was going to come. They showed up at 8:00 a.m. and they didn't leave until 6:00 p.m. They did a pretty big job. He did a great job.
