"As the owner of Above & Beyond Tree Service, I settle for nothing but perfection. A "B" rating does not accurately reflect the work, performance and professionalism that was performed on this customers property. Had it not been for price, my business would have gotten an "A" rating from this customer. However, the nature of this work order was very difficult, time consuming and labor driven, all of which drive cost. In addition, because the trees were poplar trees they do not have a resale value and had to be disposed of for a fee. In this case, he had two trees uproot from a recent tropical storm. His property is fully gated and did not provide easy or efficient access. It was determined that the best access to the trees would be though a neighbor's yard. Therefore, I spoke with the customer to see if he could get us permission to use his neighbor’s property to remove the trees. Once we had permission, I hired a subcontractor who brought in a turf friendly machine to safely remove the damaged trees without disrupting the landscape further. As he pointed out, I also arrived with a crew of 6 men and 3 large trucks (Log truck, Chip Truck and bucket Truck). All of the equipment is DOT (department of transportation) approved and fully insured. I also carry all of the proper workers compensation for the 6 man crew. As a professional arborist, I also made a decision to remove a third tree, at no additional cost, because it was badly damaged from one of the trees that uprooted. In conclusion, the cost to run a legitimate tree service is astronomical. To carry the proper insurance and maintain safe and efficient equipment all carry a heavy price tag. Unfortunately, these costs are passed along to the customer. To compensate for these costs, I am continuously looking to go Above & Beyond for my customers whenever possible. In this case, I removed an additional tree at no cost to the customer. I really believe that this customer is happy with the service we provided and I truly look forward to doing business with him in the future. As a side note and business owner, I am curious to see how Angie's customers rate price. To use the above scenario as an example, did Above & Beyond Tree Service get a "C" rating on price because it was compared to other quotes from other legitimate tree services? or, Did we get a "C" rating because the consumer was blind sided by a tropical storm and did not budget for the large expense. Therefore, was not happy with the pricing. I am looking for further input on this. Feel free to write me at [email protected]"
They did a great job. Some of the trees were close to the house. No problems. Great cleanup. They even did adjacent tree trimming.
