Description of Work: My LG washing machine would not start this morning. I tried everything I could think of. When I called Roia, the gentleman suggested I unplug the unit for 40 seconds and plug it back in. HE told me it would do a hard reset of the system. It worked! A less honorable repairman might have just scheduled a service call.

Description of Work: He was supposed to repair my dryer but he quoted me $165 to start but then when he arrived with the parts the job was suddenly $265!

Description of Work: I first called Mike to ask about repairing an existing 5-year-old dishwasher - after I reviewed the problems on the phone with him he was very honest about it probably being a waste of time and money to repair it (LG dishwasher) and that he wouldn't feel right about charging me a "diagnostic fee" just to come out and tell me that. I really appreciated that. I asked him specifically for a brand recommendation (Bosch) and a recommendation for a place to shop (he suggested Gil's in Bristol, which we went to and had a great shopping experience!). A few days later he picked up the dishwasher from Bristol and installed it in just under an hour in our kitchen (that's the $155 I paid).

Description of Work: Our Bosch dryer and washer were not working. They came in and fixed both of them.

Description of Work: They serviced a relatively new refrigerator that failed. They pointed out that it was probably a major failure but if I wished they could install a part to see if it might solve the problem with the promise that if it did not, they would refund the cost of the part and charge only the labor. The refrigerator ran for a week or so more and failed again. The cost of the part was quickly refunded. We purchased a new refrig.

Description of Work: I called Mike Roia after checking Angie's list for a list of companies that serviced appliances. My dryer was not working so I called and left a message. He returned my call and came to my home a few days later. When he arrived he already had an idea what the problem was so he had the parts with him. He checked out the dryer and it was the belt and also a pulley that had broken. He fixed it within a half hour and assured me that my dryer would last several more years. He was very nice and professional and I would definitely call him again.
