Enough said, bad service.

They were excellent. They were very informative on the choices of furnaces. They showed up exactly when they said they would. They were very helpful with our options. They were very clean and worked very professionally and efficiently. They finished the job exactly when they said they would and did everything they said they were going to do.

They had been good enough to deal with, always filled up the tank before it got dangerously low, and their prices were reasonable. We got on a payment plan which was helpful being first time homeowners. Then it went downhill the first time we had to call them for service. Service is included on our contract, we do not pay extra for it. We called the service number and they said they'd send someone within a hour. This was good news because it was March 13, 2008 and it was still very cold. Bobby called my husband to see what the issue was before coming out. He told my husband that he wouldn't come out unless we paid our $2000 outstanding bill in full. My husband explained to Bobby that we had a payment plan and that we didn't owe the balance in full. Bobby was very antagonistic over the phone and really gave my husband a hard time. We tried to explain that our furnace was not working, it was very cold in the house and could he please come out and service it and we'll deal with the billing when the office is open during business hours. Bobby finally decided to come out to the house. He got there quickly, and was very gruff. He went right into the basement. He left after 20 mins and said it was fixed, no other explanation. The furnace came back on and all was good for the night. The next day, we went to work, the furnace was behaving normally. Then my husband got a call from our neighbor that our house was on fire, and the fire department was breaking down our back door and crashing through our windows. My husband raced home to see black smoke coming our of our chimney. The fire chief said that it started in the furnace, in the firebox, but the caught it in time. They said the reason for the smoke was that the furnace was burning too richly and asked if anyone had serviced it recently. After the break-in mess was cleaned up and the police and fire dept left, we called White Fuel and told them what just happened and that our furnace was now not working again, and it seemed to be their fault. They said they'd send Bobby. We protested after our last encounter with him, and the fact that he nearly got our house burned down, but he was the only on. Bobby came back. Again, very gruff, right into the basement on. He said that a chunk of something got caught and that was what caused the smoke and he'd again fixed the problem. Our neighbor does heating and cooling and we asked him to come over and take a look. He said that Bobby had put a nozzle which caused more oil than needed to run into the furnace than was necessary. It seemed he did it so that we'd use more oil and require more fill-ups! But Bobby made a mistake because he put on a nozzle which caused the furnace to burn excessively, thereby causing the fire and smoke. We were tricked by this company who clearly tells their employees to get the most $ out of their customers, and nearly lost our home because of them. Please never EVER use white fuel.

THEIR SERVICE TECHNICIANS ARE WELL GROOMED AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY HAVE BEEN QUICK TO RESPOND WHENEVER I HAVE CALLED THEM TO COME OUT TO THE HOUSE. THEY GET THE JOB DONE QUICKLY AND THE JOB IS DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.

WE'VE BEEN DOING BUSINESS WITH WHITE FUEL FOR THE LAST 20 YEARS. I FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH THEM AND WOULD NOT USE OTHER COMPANY. I THINK THEY DO A GOOD JOB AND HAVE CONFIDENCE IN THEIR ABILITIES.

I HAVE BEEN A LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR YEARS AND I REALLY THINK THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST AROUND. THEY CAN PRETTY MUCH FIX ANY PLUMBING PROBLEM YOU PUT IN FRONT OF THEM. THESE GUYS KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.
