SANTORO OIL COMPANY was first established in Providence, RI and evolved over three generations to become a full-service oil heat provider servicing residential, marine and commercial customers in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. We offer various petroleum products, 24 hour service, and complete in-house heating and air conditioning installation.

3 strikes and they are out. Just paid 2k for a part after 3 visits from their service guys and furnace is still broken. Do NOT use them. Absolutely HORRIBLE
Description of Work: They said I needed a new coil for the water tank and my furnace is only 6 years old

It did not go.
Description of Work: Spoke with the representative regarding home installation of propane for ONLY a kitchen stove, approximate cost $99/year, installation approx $1000, paying cash for for both. Came out to my home to price out the job, said no problem we can do it. I Recently refinanced mortgage so credit was not perfect. They declined an $1100 job even though I'm paying cash because of a fair credit score. Absolutely bad business. Not making a large purchase here guys the cost is pennies compared to real life costs. I could understand if they were delivering oil on credit, or a doing a $5000.00 job on credit, but no this is less than $1100, up front cost with $99/year, WHO NEEDS CREDIT FOR THAT! Don't bother contacting unless you have perfect credit. Complete waste of my my time.

Santoro Propane is a full service energy provider who extends payment terms and automatic propane delivery. We do not accept cash on delivery services for propane deliveries due to the safety requirements that we are responsible for upholding; in order to ensure compliance and to help protect the community we choose not to deliver propane on a Cash on Delivery basis for several safety related reasons. As part of our installation and tank rental program a credit report provided by a major credit bureau is obtained and reviewed to determine eligibility. We do our best to communicate all credit requirements upfront during your free in home quote and again apologize if this was not your experience. We try to maintain customer friendly policies at all times while I also operating in a socially responsible manner that protects the safety and well being of the community and our staff. We tried to get a quote for a furnace upgrade. They did not respond to any query on their website. After calling they sent someone out to look at the old system. They had to be called a few times afterwards to get them to send a quote. We finally got a quote but they never followed up. They must have more business than they can handle because they certainly acted like they were not interested in our business. We hired a much more responsive company for the upgrade instead and have been extremely happy with them.

This is my oil delivery company. They represent several companies, and I use Seaway Oil, which is oil delivery only, no service contract. If you use one of their companies with a service contract, the oil price is higher, but you can get "a la carte" service, and they respond pretty promptly.

Two workers arrived on time and worked very neatly, efficiently and continuously to remove the old and large tank, replacing it with a new and somewhat smaller tank. The service was professional and courteous throughout.

They come out in the summer. They are on time. They carry out an annual cleaning of the boiler. The price of the oil is not cheap. They are a little more expensive, but they are very good.

Santoro Oil is a great company...we have had a couple issues with our heat... last year it stopped working, and this year, our baseboards weren't heating up and the house wouldn't get above 60 degrees. In both instances they were super friendly when I call, and extremely responsive. They were there the same day... sometimes within hours of the call! The service people are always very friendly and clean.
Description of Work: I use Santoro to deliver my oil, and I also have a service plan for my Oil Heater through them.

They couldn't find the problem the first time and it took them a total of three visits to repair it. I believe they do a generally good job of servicing my oil tank, but I wish they could have found this problem the first time.
Description of Work: Santoro Oil helped me repair a faulty exhaust pipe, connected to my 275 gallon tank, which was under a service contract.
