RWL General Contractors

We are very pleased with our finished kitchen and mudroom, which were completed in about 6 weeks, including finishing hardwoods. Kevin and the crew are very professional, and the price was fair. You won't get any big surprises with the price at the end. If we wanted them to change or fix something, they were quick to oblige. The only thing somewhat negative I would say is it was sometimes unclear what details/labor were included in the quote and which were not. Some things we were not expecting, they did, while other things we were expecting were not originally included (We did talk them into most of these.) Overall, we are very satisfied, and are keeping RWL as our go-to contractors.

Kevin his crew and subs were very professional and completed the entire project with great attention to detail. He presented a unique solution to the proposed renovation project utilizing his expertise and experience. We were extremely happy with the final results.

Ken is a good guy and runs a good crew. I acted as my own general contractor; Ken's work had to be coordinated with the electricians, plasterers and wood floor crew. Ken didn't always show up the scheduled day but he made sure that he got the work done in time; he'd told me from the start that I could count on him, and he was true to his word. His bid was competitive, his work was professional and he completed the job on time and under bid. I would use him again and recommend him to anyone who needs work done on their house.

Very disappointing experience, although initially it seemed like RWL General Contractors would be a good fit for the work I needed. In late April I called the owner, Kevin Leblanc, for an estimate for replacement windows and for repairs needed to prepare my house for painting. I chose him because I had heard him talk on WPRO radio, and he had good reviews on Angie’s List. He came to my house May 1st to view the work needed. A few days later a representative of his roofing subcontractor came by to measure for rubber roofing. I waited a few weeks but never received an estimate from Mr. Leblanc. On May 25th I emailed him via his website to ask when I might expect to receive his estimate. All I got in reply was what appeared to be a computer-generated “confirmation of message received”, saying they would reply to me as soon as possible. Perhaps I should have followed up with a phone call instead of an email. Perhaps I should have started calling other companies sooner. At this point I don’t believe he is interested in the job, so I’ve been calling other contractors. I waited too long, and by now the other contractors are already scheduling into August and September. If the repairs are scheduled that far into the year, it may not leave enough time for having the house painted.

Kevin and his subcontractors did an amazing job with all the projects. His plasterer did a super job with downstairs ceiling. His flooring team also did an awesome job installing floors. They all were kind, arrived when scheduled, cleaned up after jobs were done and very professional. We are very pleased with the outcome of all projects. Kevin is very friendly and knowledgeable and listens to what you want done and then does them. His estimate was spot on. While replacing floor in bathroom discovered issue with subfloor and matter was resolved. I would certainly hire Kevin again to do additional projects. His goal is to make you happy and he did just that.

While RWL is not the cheapest contractor, he winds up being the lease expensive. No unreasonable upcharges, no hassles, and an on time (on a very rushed schedule). I have used RWL before and will definitely use him again.

We had a bit of a problem coordinating the timing of the work because by the time the plumbers finished Kevin was on a month-long safari vacation in Africa. While he was gone I had other estimates, some of which were less than Kevin's, but they proposed patching the ceiling whereas Kevin said it would not come out well that way. He was convincing and also my insurance adjuster agreed that total replacement was warranted, so I was able to get much of the repair cost from my homeowner's insurance, though not for the plumbing work. Anyway, Kevin acknowledged that there might be others who would do the job more cheaply, but the issue was quality. In fact, when the job was done he and his team did terrific work and the dining room and living room look like new. Kevin was also helpful in providing estimates and the paperwork I needed for the insurance company. He seems like a genuinely nice guy. In short, RWL does quality work. But they are busy, so make sure to work out a realistic time line.

Kevin was very responsive and professional. He was never just trying to finish the job, instead he was very concerned with ensuring the work was done to our satisfaction. We would definitely recommend and use RWL for future work.

Kevin was great throughout the entire 203k quote process. Upon our initial contact, he immediately sent a email confirmation and meeting/calendar request. He was on time to our walk through at the house and had solid and realistic observations and recommendations for the work we wanted done. We liked his demeanor and felt confident in his abilities. Our decision not to go with RWL was purely a financial one as we were tied to adhering to the constraints of a 203k mortgage. Would recommend and will strongly consider for future projects.

Kevin and his crew were really a pleasure to work with. They were professional and courteous, and the work completed was high quality. They arrived when they said they would each day, and cleaned up thoroughly when finished. Kevin checked in with us during the job to see if we were happy, and followed up with us afterwards as well. We were very happy with the completed results and highly recommend them!

They spoke with me about the job I was looking to have completed and let me know that they are booked solid through November....so unfortunately I will have to look elsewhere as I needed the work done sooner. Hope to deal with them again in the future.

Kevin and his son were a piece of cake to work with. Kevin answered all my questions and explained some of the repair that would have to be done. When I am ready to have this work done, I intend to call Kevin to give me an estimate on the repair work to be done. One of my friends called Kevin to look at her roof. He did look at it and told her she didn't need to have the work done and explained why to her. I would call that sincere honesty...................

These guys were great to work with. The first impressive thing was that Kevin used an online calender to set up his appts. with details. He has a lot of experience, and it showed--whereas other contractors didn't know how to reroute the duct work going through the wall, he and his team knew what to do and had no problem with it. He gave us a very fair price, called halfway through on the weekend to discuss what we thought of everything--and my husband is a very particular, handy guy, so he wanted something done a different way, which they went back and changed the next work day. The end result looks great, and we are planning to use them again for another, larger renovation soon.

Kevin is the best contractor we've ever worked with. The work he did for us was perfect. He gave us a detailed description of the work that needed to be done and the associated cost. The job was completed on schedule and cost exactly what he quoted us. Kevin helped us coordinate plumbers, electricians and appliance delivery so that everything went as smooth as possible. The cost mentioned above was only for Kevin's work, we paid the the plumbers and electricians separately. Bottom line, we would hire Kevin again in a heartbeat, in fact as soon as spring arrives we will ask for his assistance once again. I would recommend him and his crew to ANYONE, 100%.

Work was done on schedule. Very professional crew. Work team very respectful, polite and friendly. Quiet workers. Neat & clean. Used drop cloths while working. Price quoted was higher than others however all expectations were met and we are very satisfied with the job. Kevin is very friendly and professional; we were very comfortable having him and his workers in our home.

Kevin's work was great. ?Very professional, on time, clean and trustworthy. We had several unforeseen obstacles once wall was opened up including pipes and electrical work of which were all handled professionally and cost effectively. I would absolutely recommend RWL General Contractors and will use myself in the future.

Kevin was professional and did a nice job on the awning and insulation. Pleasant man to work with. The plumbers he hired were also professional and did a really good job.

Kevin Leblanc coordinated the entire job of gutting the existing bathroom and completely remodeling it. He also repaired a water damaged ceiling in our kitchen and replaced the central kitchen light fixture and coordinated the replacement of our Kitchen sink. Both jobs required coordination with other trades including a plumber, an electrician, a glass company (for the shower door and mirror), a plasterer and several helpers. Kevin handled all of the detailed tile work himself and coordinated schedules and access for the other folks working on the project. The results are spectacular. Kevin is a perfectionist, and ensured every detail was done properly. One of his helpers put knobs on the drawers beneath the sink in improper positions, and without discussion, he ordered replacement drawer fronts and absorbed the error in his base project cost. Our seriously water damaged kitchen ceiling now looks brand new. There is no visible indication of where the new plaster board was installed to replace the damaged area. Kevin and his crew took the time to cover the hallways leading to and from their work area with drop cloths before each start. Each day before his team left the work site, the surrounding areas outside the bathroom were thoroughly vacuumed and cleaned by them, Note: Costs listed above were for Kevin and his crew's labor. We paid the plumber and glass company separately, although Kevin coordinated all of their activities. We purchased the necessary materials separately. Bottom line... I wouldn't hesitate to hire Kevin or any of his subcontractors again.

It was a house built in the 1800's and you never know what you are going to find when you pull down walls and floors. Some unexpected structural issues in the floor had to be repaired and Kevin had someone come in to do it. He shopped for the tiles, we supplied a small vanity from Ikea. It came out adorable. Other contractors told us it wasn't a smart idea to put it there, but when you have a small old cottage you have to take space where you can find it. Kevin never tried to talk us out of it, said it could be done and we are so happy with it and him.

They are knowledgeable and professional. They're clean. They do great work. They're on time. It was just professionally good work. They were on time and on budget. They treated it as if it was the only job they were doing. I'd give them all A's. I plan on using them in the future.

Kevin scheduled the initial appointment and sent an email confirmation. On every visit he or his team arrived on time. Kevin was responsive and made helpful suggestions, sometimes meaning less business for him. His team left the yard cleaner than he found it. We had only two minor issues (an old downspout was left behind and the automatic sprinkler rain sensor wasn't reattached after the work), but when we mentioned them to Kevin he took care of it right away. We did receive multiple quotes for the project and RWL was slightly on the high side (perhaps $200 higher than the next highest), but the quality and service are well worth the negligible extra expense. Best experience with a contractor ever and we will use him again in the late summer for a larger project.
