Melvin Power Wash

Poorly. We have used Melvin's Power Wash several times in the past and they always did a good job. Not this time. We had them out for a quote which was considerably higher ($169) than previous visits but we decided to go with them because of previous performance. They refused to let us use the coupons they listed. They were to clean the gutters on our large 2 story house and on our garage. Specifically, we told Melvin that two of our downspouts were clogged and no water was coming through. He said they would take care of this. The sole person that came out to do the job arrived on time and 8 minutes later he indicated he was finished (8 minutes for over 200 feet of gutter and $169!!). When I checked, I found he had not even checked the garage gutters or the downspouts and that there were still branches sticking out of the gutters. I couldn't talk to him because he said he spoke no English. That night it rained and the water poured over the edges of the gutters with nothing coming out of the downspouts. I called Melvin and he said he would be out the night day to rectify the problem. He never came. I called again and he apologized and said he would be out the next day. Again, he never came. This happened again a third time. Fortunately, he hadn't cashed the check yet and I was able to cancel payment on it. I subsequently hired another company. We discovered that his worker had broken one of the downspouts - we found the parts in a neighbors driveway. I would NEVER use Melvin's Power Wash again.

HORRIBLE BUSINESS. HIRE ANYONE ELSE! The owner, Melvin, quoted me $360 on Angie's List messenger for "clean, sand, apply stain" and then showed up at my house and told me it would be $700 for the EXACT same service. I was clear about dimensions (12'x6') so it was an accurate quote. This is a DECEPTIVE business that tells you one price and then tries to take advantage of you. I even showed him the message on my computer where he quoted $360, and he still wouldn't honor the price. He tried to tell me it was a language barrier - but it's all right in the message he sent me. ANGIE'S LIST - KICK THIS GUY OFF! Read the other review - this guy has done this before!!! Pros: he's very communicative and does a good job overall Cons: CON ARTIST.

Melvin did a great job power washing my house, walkways, and deck. He also stained the deck and painted the front door. I would highly recommend him. Very punctual and professional .

Overall, it was fine. Original pricing did not include downspout, so the project was more than expected. Be sure to include everything needed in the request to get accurate pricing. Gutter was installed on the agreed upon date. I was pleased at how quickly the job was done from initial request to complete installation.

Melvin has done work for me before so I already knew what to expect. The work went very well. He showed up on time, gave me a price quote for both part of the house and the entire house, and I decided to do the entire house. Since he was already doing other work in this area, he was able to do the job the same day. The result was very good, looks like new.

Melvin and his team did a great job, I am very happy with the results! My house looks totally refreshed. They were very timely- started and finished work quickly. Melvin was very responsive and helpful. AND it was a great deal!

Melvin was excellent to work with and I would absolutely hire him again. We had our house and deck power washed and the deck stained. His prices were affordable and he did a great job.

Very dissatisfying! First, the appointment made was not carried out. I wasted a whole day waiting and after my call found out they had no record of it. How is that possible in a computerized world?! Second, the job!! Never was I left with such a mess by any gutter cleaner! A total disregard for cleanliness! I asked not to use a blower - but they did. Now it's up to me to clean after them to bring the outside of my property back to order. Really and truly a disgrace. This company will never again be hired by me!

Work was delayed at first and 2 appointments were made before workers could arrive. Mechanical issues. Once here, work went quickly and very well. Price was very good. Workers were courteous, knowledgeable, efficient. I'll hire again for more work on gutters.

They were very prompt in showing up to give an estimate for the work, and the job was scheduled for a couple of days later. Power washing of the patio was excellent, but the window washing was just ok, as they did not clean the sills or screens. They also suggested that we have them power wash the roof to remove the moss that was building up on some of the shingles. I had read that power washing roof shingles could damage them, and that power washing was not the way to clean a roof. They were all very nice and did their work in a professional manner. I think they will get better with more experience.

Bought deal for $289 to restore deck up to 200 sqft. Was to include cleaning and coming back to apply sealant at a second visit. Provider arrived, told me if I wanted a sealant that was tinted like my current deck color, it would be $289 now plus $600 to paint after. Provider charged $10 to power wash small area of front landing. Paid provider $300. No second visit is scheduled or planned, we had to paint our own deck. I paid $289 for a restoration package and received a power wash.

Moss Boss was great. The estimate was good and the service and workmanship was wonderful. The house never looked better.

It went extremely well and he was very concientous and cleaned up well. Did a great job. Price was much lower than I had anticipated on both jobs. I had been given a price a year ago on the gutter guards and was not ready to spend that very high price. Melvin Power Wash came in at a very low number and did a great job. Below is the combined price.

Great job. I never thought the years of dirt would be able to be removed. But They did it, were prompt, and the place looks nearly new! I'd hire again in a heartbeat.
