Melvin Power Wash

Excellent. We had our house painted in advance of putting it on the market for sale. Melvin has a big crew he rotates through the job so there was never a day that there was not a full crew on the house. Prep is everything for a paint job and his prep was outstanding. Final result was exactly as I had hoped and we sold the house in one Open House. Great work - hones and very fairly priced.

They arrived on time, were respectful of the pandemic restrictions and finished quickly. They cleaned up well and even cleared all the leaves off my front lawn. They used a leaf blower to clean the gutters and I was a little doubtful at first but I checked and it looks good.

Melvin and his crew were professional. They worked fast. Everything looks great and the price was very reasonable.

Melvin Power Wash is more than just power washing. They are an incredible general contractor that does almost everything. They are your one stop for home repairs. We cannot recommend them enough. We had never used Angie’s List, so we were a little skeptical, but Melvin’s work is perfection. We were under a tight deadline to have a very large house repaired and painted for a listing. They worked very hard to make the deadline. The house was looking beautiful thanks to all their hard work. Each one of his men take pride in doing a job well done. If Melvin is not personally satisfied upon inspection, he will have his men do it over again. We were amazed at their expertise. The icing on the cake was that he was very economical. They scheduled the appointment right away and were very courteous over the phone. The team was masked and very careful due to COVID restrictions when they arrived. They completed the job quickly, exactly as described, and did a great job. The house looks much cleaner now. Thank you!

I liked them very much. Melvin stayed on top of the job and seemed very knowledgeable. The two men who did the work were very courteous and worked hard to get the job finished in a timely manner.

I was given a 10 AM appointment. At 11 AM when they had not arrived I called and received voicemail. My call was returned with 30 minutes. I was informed they were an hour away. When they told me the town they were in I informed them it was the next town over and not an hour from my home. I was then informed “even better” and they would be there by 1-1:30. Called again at 2 PM and they said they would be there by 3 PM. They arrived at 3:45 PM and when I asked them why they were so late they said they knew nothing about my scheduled appointment. Overall, job was complete with 2 1/2 Hours and was good but I would hesitate to hire again as they don’t seem too concerned about respecting other people’s time and adhering to a scheduled visit without any communication on their part to inform the customer of a delay.

My parents needed help with clogged gutters. They were prompt responding to my initial request and scheduled an appointment immediately. Everything went according to plan and the gentlemen that preformed the work were very kind to them. Over all a good group. I'll definitely keep their number handy if I need any additional work.

Overall, I am pleased with the outcome. The "deal" I paid for was a very fair price for our two story home. Unfortunately, the two workers that came to clean just threw all the leaves from the gutters (most of them in frozen chunks of ice) all over our driveway and yard. However, when I contacted the owner and sent pictures, he immediately apologized and said he would come himself to clean up. He came the next day, cleaned, raked and swept everything! He sent me pictures and I was very satisfied with his attention to detail. I respect the owner for making the problem right.

Very well. Melvin's team contacted me immediately after I secured the offer even though I did not need it right away. Their office was responsive and always called me back promptly while I was trying to schedule. The owner accompanied his team on the day of the job and gave me a discount on the spot based on the nature of work I needed done. The job took less than 20 minutes. I would definitely hire them again.

We agreed on a price even though it was more than the original deal. There would be a little more work, fine. We also picked out the kind of stain he wanted to use. The first day they took some of the paint off with a power washer, and I figured the next day they would finish and stain the deck. Oh no. They tried to sand the paint off the next day but that didn't work, so they painted it!!! An arbitrary red color to hide the fact that they couldn't take the original paint off. I said this is not even close to what we agreed to and take this color off. He did come back and power washed it again so that now the deck is so rough you can't touch it or walk on it. I'm out of patience with this guy, and I didn't pay for it so I'm letting go. Full disclosure english is not his first language.

Hired for gutter cleaning (which they offered to take care of a bees nest found while they were up on the roof) and power washing my siding. The siding looks great! Didn't realize how bright the color was supposed to be. 2 minor things. The initial appointment had to be rescheduled. Which was fine with me, but the contact person was a bit incessant. I guess there's something to say for persistence. And the other minor thing was a late arrival, but only by 15 min. I wasn't in a rush for the services to be provided so I didn't mind. Would absolutely hire again.

Melvin and his team did a great job cleaning the deck, but since it was raining when they applied the water seal they had to come back and reapply it. l now have a good looking water sealed deck. I would most certainly consider using Melvin's power wash again.

Horrible job. Was supposed to show up to redo two days in a row. Didn’t show.
