I’ve tried this company twice now, both times it was an irritating experience Here is how they charge: - billable time starts when they start driving to your house from wherever the technician is - billable time ends when the job is finished - if the tech has to leave to get parts, it’s all on the clock The thing is, they never have any parts on the truck despite what they say. Not sure what kind of plumber wouldn’t have a 90 degree copper elbow or a toilet wax seal on hand… Despite that, they wildly overcharge for parts ($3000 for an $800 water heater for example.) And the most irritating part and why I’ll never use them again - they replaced my water heater and left it with the outlet leaking. When I called them back, they charged me as if it was a new service call. They sent 2 plumbers, when 1 would have been sufficient, and charged me for 2 plumbers time. $400 to fix a leak that they created. You’ll be nickel and dimed with these crooks.

Avoid this company!!! They made a mistake, overcharged us for “antifreeze” will NOT provide transparent billing invoice and charged too much for labor! Unethical.

Contractor showed up, looked at the job, told me that it was too big of a job to finish that day, then left. Then the company proceeded to charge my credit card $135 for a "service call" in which they did nothing other than leave a muddy mess on my bathroom floor!

We have NEVER been disappointed with the service, professionalism, curtesy, and the respect for property given to us as customers. Everyone from the office to the employees serving us have been wonderful. When calling for a job to be done, calls are returned in a timely manner and time and date for that particular request is always reasonable, especially during the difficult time for companies.

Terrible company, STAY AWAY! They were hired to install a natural gas fireplace insert (which i purchased) into the wood fireplace. The reason for hiring a professional plumber is that it had to be tied into city gas and I wanted it permitted and done by a licensed plumber. I made this very clear when hiring them. When they showed up to do the work, the plumber they sent was obviously very inexperienced and not licensed. He also did not have a plumbing permit and said he hadn't been told about any type of permit. He proceeded to use a hammer drill on the brick floor of the fireplace which blasted the mortar apart on the bricks and ruined the floor of the fireplace. He then proceeded to the basement where he drilled two holes in my chimney in order to run a gas supply line. Neither of which were ever used. He then left for the day. They rescheduled after this failed attempt for two days later. Two days later another plumber showed up, still with no permit. I called the office and asked why they didn't have it and they assured me that they had the permit at the office and they just forgot to bring it. The second plumber then proceeded to drill a hole in my new maple floor in order to install the shut off valve instead of using one of the holes that were drilled into the brick from the previous day. To complete the job, he simply ran about 10 feet of flexible gas line from the supply line to the gas insert. But he didn't crimp the ends on properly and caused a gas leak in the basement! He left it like that. The next day when I went into the basement I knew something was wrong. Frustrated I called another plumber and he brought a gas sensor into the basement and the device proved that the flex connections were leaking because they were never crimped onto the hose properly! The second plumber had to cut the hose out and repair it and reinstall it with brand new fittings -- an additional $250 for that visit and I am left with holes in my floor and chimney that were never patched, a gas leak, and they lied to me about ever having pulled a permit because I called the town hall myself and they had no permit on record.

Provided parts from a plumbing supply firm owned by Travers; price for parts was outrageous; complained to the office to no avail; checked Home Depot and Lowe's and found I could have purchased a new faucet for less than I paid Travers for the replacement parts.

The plumber (Dave) was very experienced with the LARS model of furnace and I was impressed with his knowledge and ability to pinpoint the work necessary to repair the furnace within minutes. He identified a switch that has been a problem for most units and said it would fix the error code. It was an expensive fix, and it did not clear the error I was getting. The heat works now, but again, I still get the error code. Travers sent Joe out to look at Dave's work and he said that he would have to get back to me. The error code is not resolved yet, but again, I have had good experiences with Travers in the past, so I won't fault them for not returning to fix the error and at least the heat works.

They're very honest and they call back immediately. They're very, very, flexible especially since we're out of state. We used them before we moved, so we already had a relationship. I can always count on Travers and when they tell me something I know that it's true. I don't have to guess or suspect that I'm being taken for a ride. They're very honest and they even call me back to say if I really want to do something if it's not necessary. I have the utmost confidence in them and I have never had a problem with them. The only reason it was so expensive when they came out the last time was because it was so complicated. While we were living there I liked to have the heat system checked. The first time they came in they checked everything and told me it was fine and said that they really couldn't charge me because they didn't do anything even though they came to the house. I've never had that happen. I've even had a plumber call with a renter in the house and say that they were in the house and I should make the renters pay because it's their fault and not the plumbings fault, so I have the utmost faith in Travers. There are somethings that could be a little less, but they're very fair. I did do the research and there are things that they are equal to others, but for the most part I've found them to be prompt and they're very clean. They always clean behind themselves, so I was very happy. They usually respond the same day. It might not be right away because usually they have other appointments, but it's usually the same day and you might be the last one of the day. They're always there when they are supposed to be and are always fast. They're very professional.

It was an irritating experience.Probably if they had sent one of their more competent plumbers, could have been better. I strongly object to paying for their "travel time"

They were fantastic. They are a local company. They were here within few hours of my called. They took care of the problem and explained what they did. They also told me what to do to prevent the problem in the future. The quality of their service was excellent. I rate them high overall.

They charged a couple of thousand for the humidifier. The service was excellent and that's why I've had them back a second, third and fourth time. Their price is very good in comparison to other plumbers in the area. I will absolutely use them again.

Young (inexperience?) man was very nice but said we needed new faucet which was paid for & didn't solve problem. (The new faucet makes hissing noise, but Travers will not fix it free). Work not done right - Travers then fixed. Charges for trouble & time and hours charge more than actually at our house etc.

Initially, the company sent out a plumber on 9/28. He felt that the drain may not have been sealed properly when the home was built. So he re-sealed the shower drain. We had to wait a couple days until the sealant dried/cured before we turned the water on again to see if that had stopped the leak. A plumber had to come back on 9/30 because re-sealing the drain did not solve the leak problem. So, the next step was to look for other reasons for the leak. The drain was then tested by pouring 15 gallons of water down it. It did not leak, so he knew that the leak was not originating in the pipe. But when the water was turned on in the shower the leak into the basement showed up again. The plumber then noticed some fine cracks in the tile grouting and suggested , even though our house is new, that settling might have occurred thereby causing the cracks, so we should remove, replace and re-seal the grouting. My husband did that and the leaking stopped.

They fixed the problem but they over charged me and were rude.

I'M NOT HAPPY WITH THIS COMPANY. HE WAS NOT FAIR TO ME. HE TOLD ME ONE THING AND DID ANOTHER. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS GUY TO ANYONE. I THINK HE REALLY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME.

THEY REMODELED MY KITCHEN AND BATHROOM FOR ME. I HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY WITH THE TOILET AND SINKS THAT THEY INSTALLED. THE WORKERS WERE VERY POLITE AND EASY TO WORK WITH. THEY ANSWERED ANY QUESTIONS THAT I HAD.

THEY CAME SHORTLY AFTER I CALLED THEM UP. THEN THEY LOOKED AT THE TOILET AND SEEMED TO KNOW EXACTLY WHAT WAS WRONG. THEY PROCEEDED TO EXPLAIN IT TO ME AND FIX IT. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE TOILET SINCE THE EXPERIENCE.
