They were very responsive during cold when the furnace went out.

I received a quote from another company and they said that I needed a much larger unit, and the work was almost twice as much as what RB Queern charged me. They were very helpful and made sure I received not only a properly sized water heater, but a good quality one. The workmen were very polite and efficient, they left the basement neater than when they got there. I look forward to working with them in the future for my heating needs.

Interestingly enough the work was done much faster and at a lower rate. Buyer beware

It didn't go well. The contractor (Ron) was contacted by my wife who reached out to him needing someone who could install a Unico system. He provided a bid no less than 17K-25K higher than other contractors. I am thinking he gave a ridiculous quote as he was interfacing with a woman. I gave him an opportunity to quote the job, and he declined as he indicated that it would take "5 to 6 hours required to visit your home, calculate the size of boiler, the air handlers and condensers, determine the sizing of the air conditioning ducting and then calculate the price of all the equipment needed plus determine the labor costs of installation and removal of the baseboard." It seems he was interested in the job when he could fleece a woman for 17K, but not so much when she pushed back on the price. Another contractor lacking integrity - worst one in my 20 years living in Newport.

Queern was very thorough and responsive in answering my questions about various options to repalce my old system. They steered me away from higher-priced German systems and I settled on a Rinnai high-efficiency unit. They installed the new equipment neatly and so far it has run quietly and provides ample hot water.

Price was very high, approximately 50% more than contractor I hired

Troubleshooted a no-heat/hot-water situation for a furnace-fired water heating system. Had it up and running quickly. ended up replacing a valve and expansion tank.

Both technicians were professional and efficient and their work looks very good. I would have rated the company straight A's except for the price charged for the Honeywell Smart Valves $330.00 when they are available online for $180 and less. I'm happy to pay premium labor rates for timely professional service but no need to hammer the customer on the part as well.

It went well and we have a safer home.

They always arrive on time. They are always knowledgeable. They are courteous. Good thinkers, analyze the problem properly and explain what they find. One of our better vendors.

The staff is always great. They left the area fine. They said 10 to 10:30. There were there at 10:30 on the nose. I was very pleased with them.

Very prompt service. He was quick to diagnose the issue, order the right parts and fix as soon as the parts came in. The owner kept us in the loop at all times through e-mail on the status of our parts on order. Great communication with reasonable prices. Would definitely use again.

They are excellent. They did come and helped me out everything worked out well. They are a limited provider so I can have them come and do things like inspect my boiler, but they don't do plumbing itself so I may have them come back for an inspection, but I am not sure, if I can find a plumber that does both I would rather do that it is little easier that way, but they were very good. I would use them again.

I called R.B Quern to inquire about servicing my new Buderus boiler. Unfortunately, they do not work in my area. The people went out of their way to explain who I could call for a competent referal to my area, what questions I should ask a potential service provider, what qualifications a technician should have. Received more help from them than from my original installer and the company rep.

I called RB Queern to address a heating issue in one of the zones of my house. They were prompt and professional, got right down to business and found several issues which needed correcting, both with the furnace and with the thermostat. They were able to handle all issues at the time, and explained to me everything they were doing and why. I don't think it could have gone any better.

They were great. He was fantastic. He only charged me an hour and went pretty easy on me. He's just a nice guy. He was very helpful and taught me how to do it myself. It was an emergency call and their phone was ringing of the hook because of the storm, so I was lucky to even get a plumber on that day. The price was reasonable for a plumber. He showed up when he said he's going to. In fact I was his first call that morning and he happens to be near me, I think. I', going to make him my regular plumber.

I have used R.B. Queern for over 10 years. Their service has always been professional and they are always punctual. They have also answered calls for help in the middle of the night.

R. B. Queern and Company were satisfactory. They are responsive and were very good. I would not use their services again because I've discovered a local company, but it doesn't take away from them. I think they did a fine job, but I just found somebody who did it a little bit better and was better priced. I don't think that R. B. Queern and Company was bad. I think they were very good and honorable people and the price was very fair.

Pricing was way better than other companies I had quotes on. They've done a really great job. I would use them again in the future if needed.

I have a boiler that is leaking. I can see that it needs at least a tank and I'm desperate to get it fixed before it completely lets go and floods my basement. I called the company to discuss options. The person who answered the phone knew exactly what to do and explained to me that to order the parts, she'd need a credit card. I thought that before we ordered parts, someone other than me should look at the system so that all the right parts get ordered. Also someone should look to determine if the system could be repaired or needed replacement. She appropriately suggested that someone come that afternoon. At this point I assumed it was a quick visit to confirm the repair-ability and parts. Two techs showed up later that day. The lead tech was knowledgeable about my system. He had me feel comfortable that he knew what he was doing. He made a call from my basement to see if the parts were available; they were. He indicated that the for nearly the expense of doing the repair, I could get a new boiler system. We discussed relative prices and I indicated that I was leaning towards doing the repair rather than replacing the system. He cycled the system on and off to see if he could create the leaking condition. The techs were there for about 1/2 hour. When they were done, he asked for $112 for the service and said his boss would call me to discuss options. I still haven't heard from anyone. Also feel like I didn't need to pay for someone to cycle my system. The repair work is not insignificant (my estimate is around $2k). I expected someone to look at the system, decide what was needed and send or discuss a quote for the work. If Queern thought replacing the system was a better option, I wouuld have expected to have that conversation in the context of the repair work. The company was going to get either a costly repair out of my job, or a new installation. So I'm a bit confused as to why no follow up. Additionally, I certainly didn't need to pay $112 to have someone cycle my system.

I read reviews on the website to choose this company. They were very professional. They did a good job explaining the settings on our furnace and adjusted them. I believe our furnace works better now prior to their visit.

Very prompt visit to write up proposal for installation of new boiler and new inside oil tank. Proposal arrived in 3 days by email and was exceptionally well-detailed with some options (priced out) to consider for boiler and oil tank sizes. Installation done in one day as promised (since this was December) even though they had to work through dinner... until 8:30pm. Remarkably clean process despite removing a 50 year old oil tank housed in a finished basement. We had delayed the oil tank removal decision for a year concerned that it would be a mess and potential for contamination. Our worries were unfounded. Queern worked with us closely completing the paperwork to receive the RISE energy conservation refund which significantly lowered the total cost of the job. During the installation process, the lead installer/plumber even rerouted a few pipes from an earlier installation to ensure a safe oil delivery and boiler efficiency. Three installers were on site most of the day and were courteous throughout the process. They explained the entire system before leaving and encouraged calls if anything was not working properly. Overall an excellent experience. We contacted the company because of their high rating on Angies list and that rating is certainly supported by our experience. k an
