The service and quality of work was excellent. The estimate was timely and they notified me as soon as our project could be scheduled. Although it was expected for us to pick out all of our fixtures, tiles, countertops, vanities, etc, the estimate included a budget for these items. Once the project began, PJR had each of the workers and contractors lined-up and ready to go on schedule, on budget and on time! If there were any delays to the project, it was due to me not having ordered an item on-time. And if I had questions on the timeline, budget or workmanship, Janet was available immediately to answer my questions or return my calls. If she did not know the answer, either Peter (the owner) or the contractors would reach out to me. Excellent customer service and very reliable. I would highly recommend this company for any remodeling project!

I sought out and received three proposals from different contractors. PJR was not the lowest price, but thier pricing was within my budget and they could meet my scheduling needs and they had an A rating on Angies List. We did not enter into a formal construction contract, we used the proposal which was very detailed as the scope of work for the job. The proposal included allowances for finishes that would be selected by me. They told me what venders they wanted me to use to select the materials, tile, fixtures, etc.and I made my selections prior to the construction start to avoid delays. The demolition went smoothly. They put up plastic throughout house for protection and left a neat and clean construction site. Other than the bathroom floor being more out of plumb than anticipated there were no surprises behind the walls and the reconstruction could proceed without any and quot;unforeseenand quot; costs. There were some minor adjustments to the design that had to be made due to the lack of a level subfloor and a couple of early hiccups regarding some of the specified items and details at the beginning of the reconstruction, but PJR was responsive and on top of any issue identified and all was easily resolved or explained. The end result is a beautiful new bathroom with superb workmanship. that meets or exceeds my expectations. It is obvious that PJR uses quality old school craftsman and subcontractors that take pride in their work. My one complaint was that the allowances included in the original proposal were not sufficient to cover the materials specified especially given the preferred suppliers that I was instructed to use. In reveiwing the scope of work so that they could provide thier proposal, I had indicated the various finishes and quality of the fixtures that I was looking for in the bathroom. The only up-grade that I made after the initial proposal was accepted were the shower fixtures (shower head and faucets) and knew they would exceed the allowance for those items. However, the cost of the rest of fixtures and some finishes ended up exceeding the allowances by significant amounts over what was included in the proposal and therefore the project went over budget. The allowances included in the bid should have better reflected the cost of the materials and finishes specified. The only other issue was in regard to the Painting. Finish painting had been specifically excluded from the original proposal form PJR. During negotiations I told them that I would not consider the project completed if painting was not included and provided them with the exact paint specifications for the job. However, at the end of the job, I learned that they had never amended thier proposal, and a separate contractor for painting had to be arranged at the last minute. It was arranged by PJR and the quality of that subcontractors work was excellent, but I felt that the pricing was very high due to the last minute scheduling. Bottom line, I am extremely pleased with the finished product that PJR Construction produced. Overall the process was smooth and only took about a week to 10 days more than anticipated. I think this was a small job for them but they treated it as important as any of their other work. They were always responsive to my questions, concerns and issues and were very easy to work with. Although I don't have any other projects planned, if I did I would definitely seek them out for the work.

The service was personal. They were cleanly and delivered what I expected. Everything went according to plan

They were very accommodating. They helped us plan things and were very responsive. There were things that didn't go as planned because we bought faulty materials, but they worked through it with us.

THEY WERE VERY HARDWORKING AND THEY ACTED REALLY PROFESSIONAL. I HAVE KNOWN THEM FOR A LONG TIME NOW AND THEY DO GREAT WORK. WE NEEDED THE BATHROOM DONE QUICKLY, AND THEY WORKED HARD ON IT.

I THOUGHT THE PRICE WAS VERY COMPETITIVE. I THINK THAT THEY DO REALLY GOOD WORK. I THOUGHT THAT THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL WITH THEIR WORK. I AM HAPPY WITH THEM.
