Very well. Ocean State was very professional and explained everything to me and went through all the details and offered me several payment options. They were very responsive whenever I needed to talk to them and got back to me usually within 15-30 minutes. They worked with my schedule and provided me with daily updates and adhered to the projected schedule. Would definitely feel confident referring them to my friends!

I cannot speak highly enough of Craig at Ocean State Air Solutions. He provided a free consultation to us and also lent us a piece of drying equipment at no cost to us. I will recommend him and his company - and his new store - to anyone in my area looking for services that he can provide. He is truly exceptional!

Craig was really great to work with, very responsive. His quotes were competitive. He and his team showed up when they were supposed to, cleaned up after themselves and did a great job. Craig followed up when we had questions about the dehumidifier. I would highly recommend them.

Description of Work: ogtOcean State repaired three creaks in my basement and installed new switch with alarm on my sump pump. I could not be happier with results. We have gone through at least 4 heavy rain storms ( one was 4.6 inches of rainfall) and our basement has been dry as a bone! | |The only negative is that the service man kept leaving the front door open in very cold weather.

We had an unfinished crawl space under several room additions at house we recently purchased. We kew there were various types of mold from our home inspection. I contacted Craig from Ocean State Air who promptly responded and perfromed additional inspections. The most difficult part about our crawl space was that there was less than 6 inches of space between the beams and the ground. So the whole area had to be hand excavated out in order to gain access throughout the 700 SF space. Complicating things further was that the only access to the area was out back where you had to pass through our garage to get there. While outside his normal area of expertise, Craig formulated a plan of renting conveyor belts and small machinery that would just fit through the spaces to exavate approx 30 cubic yards of material out from under the house. Once that was complete, the moldy fiberglass insulation had to all be removed, the area treated for mold, reinsulated with spray foam, and the dimpleshield and crawlshield products installed. Finally, a dehumidifier for the entire crawl space and basement was installed. Craig and his staff communicated exceptionally well on plans, schedule, and when they needed access to the house. They were all very courteous and professional and worked extremely hard in very cramped and difficult conditions. Craig took measures to keep areas as clean as possible given the work and did a fantastic job. I've been having alot of work done on the new house and Craig is the only contractor who has come in under budget. While this was a high cost for a crawl space, the majority of the cost was for renting equipment and excavating out all the material to gain access to the space.

These guys really were fantastic. They came highly recommended to me from Pioneer Basements. We had a smell coming from the crawl space into the front of our home. We called many service provides to look into the problem and they all agreed we need to do mold remediation and insulate our dirt crawl space. Craig gave me the quote and told me what would be done. Honestly, they were on the high end for price but I really liked the materials they were going to use and was excited about how thorough the process was going to be. What's the point of doing it if it doesn't get done right? He sent a team of three young men to do the work. They were very professional. They came and went out our basement door so I hardly saw them or heard them talk. They were on time and let me know at the end of the day that they were leaving. Craig stopped by right as they were finishing up to show me the final product. I'm thrilled my insurance helped with the mold removal but we paid for the crawl space ourselves. We are thrilled the smell at the front of our house is much better. After they finished we found there were two unrelated leaks happening in the crawl space that we needed to fix. No wonder there was such a bad smell. Now we have storage and it really does look great!

My husband and I had used Ocean State Air Solutions earlier in the year to install a dehumidifier and were very happy with their work. We are hoping to insulate our crawlspace before the weather gets too cold and we wanted to have it encapsulated before putting in the insulation. I contacted Craig and we made arrangements to have the work done on October 18th. Anthony and Sam arrived right on time, they laid down a protective paper on our hardwood floors where they were walking in and out of the house. They explained what they were doing and they worked non-stop while they were here. Our crawlspace looks great--just like the picture on their website. And for the first time I can stick my head in the crawlspace without being overwhelmed by a musty odor. Craig stopped by while Anthony and Sam were working to make sure everything was going well and to answer any additional questions I had. When Anthony and Sam were done they left the house looking as clean as when they came--I really appreciate that level of respect.

I first called Craig Clark at Ocean State Air Solutions in March 2013 to ask him to help us take care of a crawl space that was not sealed properly. Craig promptly scheduled an appointment to come to our house on March 26th to take a look at the problem. Craig arrived on time and was very friendly. He looked at the crawl space and the rest of the basement and made suggestions as to how we could remedy the odor and high humidity issues we were having. His suggestions included properly encapsulating the crawl space to prevent the musty odor from coming up from the dirt floor of the crawl space (we currently just have a thin vapor shield that does not do the job during the humid summer months). He also suggested installing a large dehumidifier with ductwork that would remove moisture from the air and circulate the air in the crawl space so that mold does not grow (we were running a small dehumidifier that couldn't keep up with the moisture level). He took the time to explain each suggestion in great detail and he presented different options for both the dehumidifier and encapsulation materials. He also mentioned we could easier install additional insulation in the crawl space once it was encapsulated--although this is something his company does he gave me instructions on how we could do it ourselves to save money. When he left he said he would e-mail me a detailed estimate the following day. True to his word, Craig e-mailed me an estimate on March 27th with all the information we had gone over. After my husband and I looked over it, we realized we could not afford to do all of the work at once. We chose to install the dehumidifier first and encapsulate the crawlspace as soon as we could afford it. I spoke to Craig about our choice and he understood why we were going with the dehumidifier first. He did inform us that the dehumidifier only would not get rid of the odor, but it would insure that no mold would grow. I explained I understood we would have to put up with the odor and we were fine with that as long as we knew we wouldn't have a mold issue. He than placed an order for the dehumidifier and said he would contact us to schedule the installation once it arrived. He called once they received the unit and scheduled an appointment for April 16th. On that day two of his employees came to install the dehumidifier and ductwork. They arrived on time, they were friendly, and very informative. The process was quick and they cleaned up completely after they were finished. Craig also came during the installation process to check on everything and make sure I was happy with the work. We have had the dehumidifier running for four months now and I couldn't be happier! Especially considering the humid month of July we had I was very pleased with the performance of the system. Having the water removed automatically from the dehumidifier to the exterior of the house is wonderful. This allowed us to keep the system running even when we were on vacation. I am even able to have the water drain into a watering can so I can use the water to water my plants. Although we do still have an odor issue, it has been kept in check by this system--the odor last year with our small dehumidifier was much worse. We look forward to working with Ocean State Air Solutions in the future.
Description of Work: Ocean State Air Solutions installed a Santa Fe Classic Dehumidifier in our basement to control high humidity levels. The installation included ductwork into our crawlspace to help circulate air and prevent the growth of mold and a second duct to circulate air in the rest of the basement. They also installed a condensation pump and tubing which automatically drains the water collected by the dehumidifier to the exterior of our house.

I initially contacted Craig Clark in October 2011. We recently purchased a home that had had obvious water problems in the basement, so we wanted to get an assessment of the extent of mold problems and other health hazards. Craig proposed a solution and sent a quote for the job. We didn't get around to starting the job until the next year because there were still lingering water infiltration problems that only got solved after we replaced the old gutters and downspouts. When I contacted Craig to schedule the job, he quoted me the same price as the previous year. His crew took about 3 days to complete the job with some intermittent down time to wait for delivery of the dehumdifier unit. They set up a negative air pressure system, and sealed of the entry to the house. They then meticulously inspected all areas of the basement for mold, removed all materials that could not be salvaged, and cleaned and treated all remaining framing members with anti-microbial sealant. Finally, they installed the dehumidifier unit and associated duct work. When all was done, they left the place cleaner than they found it. Overall, Craig and his crew did an outstanding job, and I'm very satisfied with the results.
Description of Work: -Basement mold remediation: Removed baseboards affected wall board, cleaned all structural components, and encapsulated all remaining structural components with anti-microbial sealant. -Dehumidification: Installed automatic dehumidification system.

I hired Craig to check for mold in the house I was looking to buy in Jamestown. Sure enough, the finished basement tested positive for excessive and unhealthy levels of black mold. You really couldn't see it because it was behind the plasterboard the former owner used when finishing the basement. Craig's crew immediately set to work and showed me the mold growth; It was excessive. In two days Anthony and Sam neatly removed all the plasterboard, insulation and doors that were infected with mold. They sealed the basement off from the rest of the house and used a positive pressure HEPA filter air pump to keep the mold from becoming airborne and spreading. After removing all the material, they cleaned every square inch of the basement with a mold inhibiting solution. They were extremely careful and neat. I liked their work so much, I hired them to install a new heat pump / air conditioning / dehumidification in my house. That new system will rune about $8500. I look forward to working with the crew again.
Description of Work: Tested house for mold and detected black mold -- the bad kind. Sealed the basement and installed a HEPA filter blower to the outside. Removed all mold infected material. Cleaned entire basement with mold inhibiting liquid.
