James and his crew were more than professional. On time and cared for my home as it was their own. Perfection! I would recommend them for any work project you need.

James Garcia is a real pro. He responded quickly to my call, arrived when he said he would, and spent time answering questions I asked about some renovation I am hoping to do. Although I haven't yet had the work done (in part because James tipped me off about some design questions that need to be resolved first), I will definitely be calling on him when I'm ready to start the renovation. I already know he's a pleasure to work with and knows his stuff.

James did a great job. Always punctual, and keep me updated on the project. Kitchen remodel and we used IKEA kitchen supplies. IKEA brought its own unique challenges, but James stayed on top of it, and in the end, got a brand new kitchen. Well done and at a reasonable price.

Garcia Home Improvement did an amazing job. It was quick, and the job was done with quality. The crew was very polite and professional. They were very patient with us not being ready with finish materials. The mess was contained and dealt with properly, with nothing left for us to clean once the work was done. They even made sure to setup for us to do some finish work that we decided to do ourselves. We already have Garcia Home Improvement lined up to do another big job. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience with James and his team! He finished a bathroom remodel for us a few weeks ago, and we love it! James is very easy to work with and communicated well about the steps of the project, and any issues that popped up. James was so pleasant to work with. Being a first time home owner and first time doing a huge remodel, James was patient and helpful. He took time to explain products needed and quality I should look for. Only having one bathroom, James was able to come in and quickly get the job done. They were respectful of property, clean and fair in price. My 1947 bathroom was transferred into beautiful, functional room, and I couldn't be more excited! I would recommend this company to others and have already inquired about another jhome improvement job!

James was amazing and was able to turn our bathroom into an oasis. He completely transformed our nightmare into a dream at an affordable price. He was more than fair and worked really hard to do this job in a short period of time. My wife was pregnant and was just about at her due date. He was willing to race with the clock and was extremely successful. He is also down to earth and has a wonderful personality which can be hard to find in the contracting world. I am hoping to hire James for our next project, our kitchen. I would recommend him for any of your projects.

James and his crew did a great job installing handrails to the front and back stairs outside our house. He matched the existing deck rails in the back and they came out great! All the handrails seem sturdy and well made. I would definitely hire them again!

The installation went very well. They were able to install two fan quickly and replacing one ceiling and repairing another. The accomplish the job in a timely manner. They were responsive throughout the process from the initial estimate to the job's completion.

It could not have been better. The work was done as promised for a reasonable price and in a reasonable time. Very flexible and they can do anything from fine carpentry to electrical to floor tile to rebuilding a dog house. Owner (James) is wonderful. He and his awesome workers are dedicated to getting the work done and satisfying the owner. Great attitude from all of them. They worked long, hard days to get it done in order to minimize the disruption for me. James does exactly what he says he will do, shows up on time every day and stays as long as it takes. Completely trustworthy and even great with safeguarding the dogs. Could not have asked for a better experience. And the result is beautiful. Without a doubt - my go-to guys. In fact, have already had them back for a couple of smaller projects. Simply awesome.

Installed multiple structural beams, framed multiple rooms and closets. Worked closely with the engineer I hired to make sure the new structural elements passed inspection. Great job, will hire again.

Gutted kitchen and bathroom for one unit and completely gutted the second unit. Showed up and got the job done in a timely fashion. I'm very happy with the work and will hire again.

His voice mail box was full but he returned my phone call quickly. He began within a week or two of our initial contact. I expected him to take two days and he began on a Friday of a three day weekend. I was concerned that my tenants were not going to have access to a shower for about four days but he and his assistant pulled a 12 hour shift and had it done by Friday night. It looks great. I am going to hire him to work on the attic this summer.

WENT WELL AT FIRST,CAME OVER GAVE ESTIMATE FOR WALL,BUT WHEN TRYING TO GET SAME FOR ROOF JOB,NEVER REALLY GOT IT DONE..NEEDED IT ASAP BECAUSE OF THE RAIN DAMAGE EVERYDAY IT RAINED,CALLED SAID HE WOULD,THEN CALL TO ASK WHEN,GUESS WAS UPSET BECAUSE WE KEPT CALLING,MAYBE IF HE CALLED US TO LET US KNOW THEN WE WOULD NOT HAVE TO CALL AND ASK.THINK HE DID NOT THINK IT WAS THAT IMPORTANT,ALWAYS SAYING HE IS ONLY ONE PERSON,MAYBE HE NEEDS MORE HELP. TO US ITS OUR HOUSE,GETTING WORSE EVERY RAINY DAY. THEN NEEDED HELP WITH INSURANCE APPRAISER AND HE SAID HE WOULD TALK TO HIM, BUT HE WANTED TO CALL WHEN HE FELT LIKE IT,NO RUSH BUT TO US IT WAS ,COULD BE THE DIFFERENCE IN THOUSANDS,THEN CALLED AND HE WAS VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL TELLING ME MY WIFE NEEDS HELP,I THINK HE IS THE ONE WHO NEEDS HELP, ESPECIALLY CUSTOMER SERVICE HELP !! TELLING HE WONT HELP WITH OUR PROBLEM THEN HUNG UP..DONT PUT YOUR HOUSE IN HIS HANDS,HE NEVER HAS TIME OR EFFORT TO HELP AND IF YOU ASK HE WILL CALL YOU NAMES LIKE A CHILD AND QUIT THE JOB. He always arrived on time, was very clear in communication, and did very well with what he did. We actually are requesting a bid on another item right now.

I am a difficult homeowner. This general contractor performed all facets of a significant whole house rehabilitation with his own workers and various subcontractors. The quality of most of the work was A grade. In the rare instances where the work was not up to par (painting) it was redone until it was acceptable. Much of the job included considerable simple cottage woodwork installations, ie: board & batten paneling & ply bead board/trim. Labor only. All work came with a one year warranty.

I could not be happier with the service we received from James. He did a thorough job of looking at the work we needed done. He gave accurate quotes for costs and gave his opinion on what would work best for our needs while taking my ideas into account. He showed up when he said he would, which in Rhode Island is a huge plus in and of itself, he handled the work with a sense of humor and warm personality. His assistants are all very pleasant and relaxed as well, which makes having them around the house for a few days quite pleasant. The work they did is quality and it lived up to my standards, which can be pretty high. James also came to my house when I had a major plumbing disaster, once during the day and once after hours with the person he recommended to handle the plumbing part of the job. Even though he did not end up doing any work for us for that job, his willingness to look at our problem on very short notice was appreciated very much and I would not have hesitated to hire him to help. Overall, James and his crew get an A+ from me and anyone who hires him is making the right choice!

I have used this company before and they're excellent. James, the owner, gave came out to the site and gave me a quick and reasonable quote compared to others I received. Given the oceanfront location, the conditions were difficult and not idea because of temperature and high coastal wind. The job was completed by the crew of 4 in one very long day. The work was excellent and the debris clean-up was meticulous - not a scrap on the clamshell landscape surrounding the cottage. The quote was the final bill. No "extras"! We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!
