Well, Fergie's has been sold and this man and his father bought the business. He fussed with the lock for a while. He did not have any way to rebuild the lockset. He put a lot of oil inside and worked it for a while. It is still working, though it is starting to bind up again. A job done - but not impressive.

The technician did a great job, explaining the types of locks he was using. They use slightly more expensive locks than say at home depot, but no plastic parts so they will stand up to use and abuse. Was on time, fast and very friendly. Will use again if needed.

The scheduled an appointment quickly with my first phone call. They showed up on time and did the job efficiently and professionally. I had them change three door locks - one outside door and two inside doors that we did not have the key for anymore. They replaced the cylinders with new locks and we were all set. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a locksmith.

Nothing unusual about my request - a simple task that was performed quickly.

Ferdie's is amazing. I have moved out of Pawtucket but go back to them for any complicated key problems. They have been able to copy a number of keys that others were not able to copy. (And I do NOT mean keys that say and quot;don't copy.and quot;)

We live in an owner-occupied two-family. Ferdie's rekeys our house every time we have a new tenant. They've done the whole house now twice and they're fantastic. They even keyed our shared backdoor to have a cylinder that can be opened by our key and the tenant's. They come prepared and get the job done. Love Ferdie's!

I called at 4pm to seek help for a broken lock. I gave them the make and details of the lock and they said they would call the next day. The next day, they called at 10:30am saying they could come look at the lock but since they don't carry that kind, they would have to order it. This would result in two service calls. I had given them the information the previous day when they could have told me they didn't carry that lock. I went elsewhere.

Very knowledgeable staff! We bought a new house and wanted the locks changed. They initially came out and changed the tumblers in the existing locks and gave us five new keys. We then wanted to switch to a more advanced lock. They gave us many options and explained the difference between the various locks they install. They came back out a few days later to switch the locks to something more advanced for us. On the first trip they did not have all the parts they needed and they had to return to finish the job. But we would still use them again because both times they were punctual, polite and very efficient. We weren't home when they completed the job and they called me to say they were done. I panicked because I hadn't left a check for them but they said that wasn't a problem and I called them later with a credit card number over the phone.

My daughter text me at 11:27AM requesting my help to arrange a locksmith to change all the locks on her home. I logged on to Angie's List and searched and quot;Locksmithsand quot;. At 12:04 I phoned Ferdie's Key Shop who had many and quot;Aand quot; references. I discussed the urgency of the situation and much to my relief he agreed to be there within an hour. Two very professional technicians arrived within the hour, as promised, and immediately went to work. Two doors had two locks each and the third had one. It was slushy and raining outdoors and they were terrific about wiping their feet each trip from their van into the house. They completed the locks, had my daughter check them for ease of operation and provided 5 keys for each lock. The charge was exactly as quoted on the phone. We are 100% pleased with the speed, professionalism and the results.

Their tech was great and was done very quickly. The locks stuck a little bit at first but some WD-40 fixed that.

I called at about 10:30 in the morning and they had people at my house in less than a half hour. It took about 10 minutes to change both locks. I had keys for both which made it easy. They made 5 keys for me all for the price quoted when I called. The amazing thing was that we were in the middle of a hurricane! They were very professional and friendly. It was a great experience.

I called after finding this locksmith with high ratings on Angies List and being referred by another locksmith who was too busy to help me himself. I had locked myself out of my house and was desperate to get to my car keys so that I could pick my daughter up from school. The man I spoke to on the phone informed me that he could come and help but only if I paid him his fee is cash. When I informed him that I didn't keep that kind of money on hand but could pay by check or credit card he was unsympathetic and offered neither alternative despite the fact that several credit cards are shown as being accepted on his Angies List profile. This seemed unprofessional to me and as though he was taking advantage of me since he knew I was in desperate need - possibly to charge a higher than usual fee since he appeared to want no record of the transaction. I promptly called someone else. I don't care what other experiences have been. I recommend finding someone else for your locksmith needs.

I would do the same thing again they were great.

I made an appointment over the phone. They called to confirm right before coming over and showed up exactly on time. The service man was professional and courteous. He changed our locks, made the keys, tightened up my door hinges and gave me advice about a problematic back door that is rubbing h****** the frame. Overall very pleased. Price seemed fair to me but I didn't compare to others.

.I've been using them for years especially for the apartment complex. Anytime there is a problem with the locks I can take it in they will fix it right away. I don't use anyone but them.

I looked up locksmiths on Angie's List and Ferdie's Key Shop came up on top with great ratings. I called and he came right over. His shop is very close to my house. He fixed the front door in about 3 minutes. He then moved to the back door and fixed the loose cylinder in about 10 minutes. Literally from the time I looked up Angie's List to the time he left my house was about 45 minutes. Unbelievable service! He is a really nice guy too!

Ferdie's called 30 minutes before arrival and showed up on time. Overall the job was an easy one... changing out 4 cylinders on 2 doors at a house that I just bought. The total bill came to $125... $65 for the visit and $15 per cylinder. Being a Saturday and probably because the locksmith didn't have change on him, he charged me only $120. I would definitely use this company again.

Ferdie's came out to re-key the locks on the house we had purchased that day. The service man was prompt, friendly and professional. He made some great suggestions that saved us money. The work was done quickly and neatly. I would use Ferdie's again in a heartbeat.

Ferdie scheduled to fit when I could be there and let me know when he was running late. Did work as described above. Friendly and helpful. Fast. No complaints.
