The price depended on the price of the oil. The service was fine. It was automatic. They are prompt, they are punctual. Their prices aren't the best so I can probably get better pricing on fuel oil and stuff, but they are one of the few companies who can service the boiler that I happen to have so I'm kind of limited. Pricing could be a little more competitive, but other than that, they are great.

It's $229 for a 2- year service for 2014 and 2015. They are always on time, they come when I call if I need them like an emergency service or anything else.

I normally have them clean my oil furnace at the beginning of the season. I don?t stand over them or anything. Just last week or the week before, I smelled fumes when I turned on the furnace. I called them to see if they could check it out. It was the same guy who came out in November. I heard him downstairs using a vacuum, and I wondered if he was cleaning it and if I needed to do it twice a year now. The guy came upstairs and said it might be coming from my chimney. I told him begged to differ, since I?d just had a chimney cap put on and they?d said it was fine. I told him that it must have needed a cleaning, since I?d heard the vacuum. He said, ?Well, there was just a little bit.? He didn?t tell me how much it would cost. I got a bill in the mail for $135 ? the price of a cleaning. I called them up and asked to speak with them. I didn?t believe that was fair or that I owed that amount. I explained that it wasn?t the chimney, and that the issue was resolved by cleaning it, but I shouldn?t have had to get two cleanings in a season. The head of maintenance called me and said that he couldn?t reverse the charge. I don?t think that?s right, and I won?t be using them again.

I have had multiple issues with my wall hung boiler. Dupuis came within a day or two of my call, showed up at the time and on the date they said they would and resolved all of my issues. Due to no fault of theirs, the project encountered additional work but Dupuis charged me a very fair price. I will not call another company. Dupuis performs excellent work at very fair prices and they are a local company with employees who return your calls. Great company.

Description of Work: Dupuis Energy installed a central Air Conditioning unit onto my forced hot air heating unit. The individual who examined the existing system and recommended units required for the AC add-on was impressively knowledgeable and professional. The installation was scheduled quickly and done on time. The crew that did the installation was competent, pleasant and considerate. They cleaned up thoroughly and removed all packaging and debris. Very satisfactory up to this point; now we wait for a heat wave to see how well it all works.

The work was performed efficiently and expertly. They were very polite and kept us informed as to what they were doing. It was a very positive experience.
Description of Work: Replaced a 55 year old oil boiler with a new higher efficiency system. Replaced a propane hot water heater with an indirect water heater off of the new boiler. Replaced system components as required.

Do not go with DuPuis. You may like them in the beginning, but the relationship will go sour quickly. Especially if you are not a customer that requires oil fills frequently.
Description of Work: I moved to RI from MD in 2011 and this was my first time using oil for heating. When I signed the contract for service in late 2011, I used DuPuis for heating my house and potable water. They promptly came by when I needed heat and left me a bill. I was unaware that I had to pay the bill in its entirety up front and sent roughly $300 a month to pay the bill off. I received a number of letters telling me my account had a balance, which I expected because I paid monthly, until I received a letter threatening to cut my service completely for an overdue balance. I called and the rep informed me that the bill had to be paid promptly after receiving the oil fill. As a result, I expedited my payments and paid off the balance. After I paid the balance, I was informed that I could not be on a particular service plan because I didnt pay my account off in time - even though I informed them I had never used oil before and no one ever informed me of the requirement to pay the balance immediately. I've since converted my water heat to electric, but my house still heats off oil. Last night, I discovered I ran out of oil. I spoke with a customer service representative this morning and she informed me that my account had been deactivated. She was rude, beligerant, and lacked any concern for me and my family, especially given it less than 30 degrees outside and we are expecting a blizzard. She further informed me that I in fact told them to cancel my account, which I informed her I never did and she promptly stated that the customer rep who documented my alleged statement would not have made something up. She never offered to provide any assistance, reactivate my erroneously deactivated account, or provide any type of comfort even though the inside of my house was bordering 54 degrees.

The reason I went with them solely because their price was decent, my dad recommended it and we could buy oil from them without entering into a service contract. Most likely I would use their services again in the future.
