Description of Work: I've waited a year to prepare this review to see if there were any initial quality issues. There are none. We have a 3-story 1895 Victorian with a complex multi gable and multi chimney roof. Above all removed the existing crumbling slate roof and the original wood shingle roof that was underneath, resheathed the entire roof with 1/2" plywood, then covered with weatherguard and architectural shingles with a factory lifetime warranty. They reflashed all of the chimneys and installed a thermostatically and humidity controlled electric roof vent. (I did have to have it wired separately).This was a very difficult job and was very well executed. Only complaint was that they were initially not careful removing old shingles and did damage to a a garden but when I pointed that out they were extra careful on the other sides. They were efficient, prompt and courteous. Bid was lowest of 5 I solicited with no difference in quality.

Description of Work: The work performed was ice dam removal from two separate areas of my roof in the middle of an exceptionally bad winter. The work performed was done quickly and he was exceptionally responsive, even in the height of very high demand. He was clear and fair and explained to me what would and would not be covered for the price I was quoted, and went out of his way to get the work done timely. I referred a co-worker to him (my boss actually!) who was also very complimentary of his services. A definite A+ for coming through and saving our house from further damage!

Description of Work: I have had many a roofing company come fix and patch my roof but somehow we always had another place that would leak. This has gone on for ten years. Then I called above all roofing last year and they fixed it and I can't say enough good about the company. Highly recommended!

Description of Work: We had used this company this past winter to remove snow from our roof. I gave them a glowing report and recommended them to others. However, when I wanted to use them this spring to make roofing/paint repairs I was not satisfied with the response. The owner arranged to come by on within a few days but didn't show up. He didn't reschedule and when I called he again said he would come by within a few days. Never showed up. When I called again he said he would be unavailable for at least a week as he was gong out of state but would call when he returned. He then suggested I might want to look for someone else in the meantime. He never called upon returning to RI. I was very disappointed in his response as the company seemed a good one to work with last winter. I would like to rescind my previous good report.

Description of Work: They came out and got on the roof to do an assessment. After that was done, they came in and explained everything to me and left me with a brochure and their contact information. While I won't be hiring them this year, I might later. They treated me very politely and were prompt.

The work was completed in 1.5 days. Aside from a lagging dumpster, everything was fine. I was at work when the shingling was done, but my neighbor who saw the work mid-stage said it was all done well and appropriately. Debris was cleaned up around the yard. I would recommend this company. The office staff was professional and prompt; the gentleman who came out to view the property for the quote was thorough, considerate of my questions and professional.
Description of Work: Old shingles were stripped and replaced with new, 30-year shingles, plus the required ice barrier, roof vent, and finishing touches on my house (cape with full back dormer, two front dormers) and one-car garage. They didn't have to do any structural repairs as the house is only 15-years old. Their's was not the lowest bid, but I just didn't feel confident in the source of that (lowest) quote.

With the exception that the roofing crew and dumpster went to wrong address and were about an hour late getting started, the job couldn't have gone better. 40 2/3 squares removed and cleaned up and 20 1/3 squares installed by 5:13 pm.
Description of Work: Remove 2 layers of roofing. Install new roofing and releaded chimney. Above All Roofing was not the least expensive bids I got on this job but with the exception of one ambiguous line it was the most detailed. Other companies that I delt with wanted to charge for just a written proposal.

They were outstanding. They showed up on time, and their quote was accurate. I felt that they had done a terrific job. I would use them again in the future.

They came out, did the estimate and mailed me a quote. They were responsive when I spoke to them on the phone. They were prompt in coming out and doing an estimate, but it did take a while to get the quote in the mail after I spoke to the guy. It took about a week and half to get it.

They were very professional, did what they said they were going to do and if there were any problems they brought it to my attention. If they changed something they always asked if it was alright to me. The clean up at the end was very professional. The boss came out afterward and checked all the work and the clean up of the room. Their price was comparable.

All Above Roofing was in the middle of the bids received but the quality, workmanship, care and responsiveness caused us to select them. We have used the low bidder roofer in the past and found that you get exactly what you pay for. After checking their references, we decided on All Above to do the work. We were glad we did. They did everything they said they would do, right down to the daily clean up of the worksite and taking great care for our landscaping and home. While one can only truly make a judgment on a roof after 20 or 30 years of wear, the quality of the work upon my frequent inspection appeared to be excellent and the crew was courteous, helpful and neat. After having worked with other companies and noticed the horror show that can characterize roofers, All Above Roofing was a nice change. They were organized and prompt in starting and completing the job and I have no reservation recommending them to friends.
Description of Work: Removed old slate roof and replaced with high quality asphalt roof. Added iso-board insulating product, refaced dormers and adjusted gutters.
