Rambone & Sprague are the BEST of the best! Been a customer for 25+ years. They are responsive and professional and will come at all hours of the night if needed for not hot water or heat. They replaced HVAC in a recently purchased home along with a split unit. Would not use anyone else! A+++++ You want a company you can rely on when you need them? Call them... you will not regret it!

Horrible horrible horrible customer service!!!! While you might get a friendly voice on the phone (Barbie), you don't get the friendliness showing up at your door. The owner (Eddie), techs and delivery people (except for one) are rude and as another reviewer said "disturbingly abusive". Apparently, you are not allowed to ask questions about services being performed. You're just supposed to allow them into your home, do what they have to do, hand you a bill and never ever ask a question. Never do business with a company whose owner is willing to yell, scream, swear and name call his customers.

Rambone & Sprague has been delivering oil to my house in Scituate and maintaining my boiler for four years. They have always shown up on time for service calls and delivered oil promptly even when when called on short notice. Their service technicians and delivery men are courteous and professional. Their prices for oil, service contracts and repairs are competitive. I have never been disappointed by their work. In my experience they are honest, competent, reliable and reasonably priced. My heating system uses up about 1500 gallons a year.

The date of this event is approximate. I was a new oil customer and had gotten two deliveries from Rambone and Sprague. During the February cold snap, my boiler went out about 7PM. It was -3 degrees out. I didn't think to call Rambone, as my brain was associating them with oil delivery, not repair. For the next seven hours, I called, and waited for, five heating companies. In all cases I spoke to the answering person. In all cases no one responded! (All are on this list with good ratings- that's another issue.) It was now -5 degrees out. I realized at about 2AM that Rambone might come. I was getting really upset and worried about my house at this point. I called, a man called back in 15 minutes. I was thrilled and thanked him and told him how grateful I was that he was going to come out. He couldn't find me in their computer and since they only service customers, he hesitated, but then said he believed me and would come. Then I thanked him again and explained that I was a new oil customer and had not thought to call earlier, that I been waiting for 7 hours for no shows and that I was getting pretty upset by the situation and thanked him again. THEN he started in - "You're not even in our computer, what's this f*ing game you're playing with me, you waited until the middle of the night to call? I'm not playing your f*ing game, you can wait until morning, no, no, no lady, I'm going back to bed and you can wait." and he hung up on me. In between his rant, I was almost begging him to please listen to what I had said, and to please come out as I was freezing. He wouldn't let me get a word in. It was aggressive and disturbingly abusive. I will never go near this company again. I am just grateful that this man didn't end up in my house in the middle of the night. At 8 AM the next morning, a very nice lady called and asked if I still needed service. I just couldn't get into it with her. I told her no and to have a nice day.

I called Rambone and Sprague and they were exceptionally helpful and friendly. They were able to come the same afternoon to fix the problem with my furnace. The service tech was very professional, explained what the problem was, and offered solutions without pressuring me into more than I needed. The cost for parts and labor were very reasonable.

I don't see them while they are delivering as they just leave the bill. I have them fill oil in the burner every year. They only come once a year but have come out when there have been problems. They are very punctual and come when they say there are going to come and do what they say they are going to do. They explain what they do and why they do. It is a little expensive than other companies but I love them.

We've been using them for 10 years. If I ever have any questions, I call them. They are punctual and they return calls. They are reasonably priced.

I HAVE BEEN DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM FOR AWHILE NOW AND I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE THAT I RECEIVE. THEY ARE A VERY GOOD OIL COMPANY AND WOULD DEFINITELY REFER OTHERS TO THEM.

I WAS SATISFIED WITH THE WORK THEY DID. THEY WERE QUICK AND VERY THOROUGH. I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS EXCEPT FOR THE PRICE. THAT WAS A LOT HIGHER THAN I WAS EXPECTING IT TO BE.
