Kevin replied to our phone call right away and came by promptly to assess the job, give us an estimate, and arrange a date for the work. When he came arrived with his helper a few days later, he was punctual, courteous, good-natured, and professional. They repaired and sealed a lot of bricks that were crumbling at the bottom of the basement walls, filled in some holes in the walls where the old heating pipes had been, and repaired the concrete floor where an oil burner used to be. The work was not straightforward - a lot of little repairs rather than one clear job to do - but they were patient and flexible and concerned to do all that was needed. Although we discovered some places that could have been cleaned up a little better after the job was done, we were really pleased with the work and felt the price was reasonable. We will happily call Kevin again the next time we need concrete or masonry work.

Originally thought brick pier, holding up one corner of front porch, would have to be torn down and rebuilt entirely. Kevin said it was structurally sound and just required re pointing and the loose bricks mortered back in place.Kevin replied right away, came for an estimate as promised, and performed the work on time and exactly as discussed, for the price we discussed.His honesty, punctuality, professionalism and craftsmanship are to be commended. One of the best contractor experiences I've ever had. I highly recommend Kevon Gonsalves.

Our front steps were cracked and needed to be replaced. We called Kevin on a Saturday to get a quote and set up a date and time for the following week. Forty-five minutes later the front door bell rang and Kevin here was measuring our front steps. He said he was near the area and had time to stop by. He said he would contact us at the beginning of the week. He called with our quote on Monday and we told him that we would let get back to him in a few days. We called later that week and asked him to proceed. He kept us informed during the entire process. Our old steps were removed and the new ones were installed within a week. We love our new front steps. Kevin was always punctual, professional and courteous. We highly recommend him.

A+ experience. I called him on Saturday. He was out on Saturday afternoon to look at the project and submit a bid. Followed up on Tuesday to pour new footer and returned the following day to lay the brick.

Came on time, completed work in quoted time frame, cleaned up after work. Could not use some of the bricks, and went back to his business and came back with stones that matched the brick and placed them at the sides of the step at no extra charge. Went out of his way to provide service.

Mr. Gonzalves came to my house but stated that he didnt want to do the job and didnt even give me a quotation. I got the impression that my project was too small for him. He gave me a few suggestions but never gave me a reason for not doing the job. It was a waste of my time.

Kevin responded to my phone call within hours after I called. He visited to give an estimate. My old steps were removed and the new steps were installed within days. He was always on time and his service was thorough and excellent. He completed the job to my total satisfaction and my new steps look great. I feel that I got excellent service at an excellent rate. All the debris from the removal of the old steps was completely removed and everything looks perfect. I am completely satisfied and highly recommend Kevin and his work.

We had a very positive experience with Kevin. We contacted Kevin on a Wednesday to arrange to have him come out for a quote. Since we would be home on Friday we arranged a time for Friday. On Friday he called when he was a few minutes away to let us know he'd be at our house shortly. Kevin looked at our steps and said that it would be best to use the pre-made concrete steps instead of pouring new ones. This was based on the fact that the weather is not ideal for pouring new concrete and that overall it would be more cost effective. Kevin took the time to explain the steps and the process for installing them. We agreed to move ahead of the work and Kevin was kind enough to send us a picture of some steps he had recently completed at another client's house. On Monday afternoon our steps were demolished and the new ones were completed on Tuesday morning. We never even missed a day of mail. The steps look great and everything was cleaned up and left neat and tidy. Since we were not home when the work was complete, he sent us a picture of our new steps. Kevin also called a week later to follow up, making sure that we were completely happy with the final product. We were very pleased with the service Kevin offered and have already spoken with him about completing a project in our backyard in the spring. We would not hesitate to use him again and have recommended him to our neighbor who also needs new front steps.

I couldn't have asked for better. Kevin was on time (or even a little early), kept me informed the entire time, worked quickly and cleaned up after. In the past two years I have had several contractors do work in and around my house, Kevin is the only one who called to follow up and make sure I was happy. I would recomend him to anyone!! Excellent! Kevin was prompt and brought 2 assistants. They went above and beyond any and all expectations. Basically what I thought was a chimney that needed to be repointed, flashing fixed and the chimney top redone turned out to be a complete redo and quite a project. Kevin and his crew are the best. They had to basically rework the entire chimney it turned out the flues(one for the fireplace and one for the gas furnace) where completely missing and the chimney itself was on the verge of collapsing. Not only did Kevin and his team repoint the entire chimney and top cap, they also replaced the entire flashing and sealing, installed two new flues, and a magnificent chimney cap which was badly needed as rain and the other elements were coming straight down into the fire place during inclement weather. The attention to detail and honesty Kevin displays is unmatched in my experience. He not only explained what was wrong but also went beyond what was necessary to make sure that the job was done correctly and would last. All of this was done quickly and fairly. The entire job from start to finish was completed in one day, on time and on budget. Kevin is a professional in everything he does, I also have used him previously for repairing my concrete steps with the same results; he exceeds expectations, is on-time, on-budget, and always goes the extra mile so that the repairs will last.

I found Kevin's name in the ads in the back of the Eastside Monthly newspaper. I was drawn to his ad because the work that needed to be done at our house was not a huge job and his ad said "no job too small". I called the number and arranged for him to come give a quote. He did so promptly and mentioned that I should check out his listing on Angie's List for reviews. His quote was reasonable and he received positive reviews on Angie's List so we decided to use him. He was very conscientious updating us on his schedule and the timing of the project. He completed it on time and on budget and his work was very high quality. We would definitely use Kevin again for any masonry work.

I CALLED KEVIN FOR AN ESTIMATE.HE CAME THE NEXT DAY . I ACCEPTED THE ESTIMATE. HE CALLED THE FOLLOWING DAY TO SET AN AGREED TIME TO DO THE WORK. HE DID THE WORK ON TIME AND ON SCHEDULE. VERY GOOD WORK. THIS MAN TRULY LOVES CEMENT !!. AND KNOWS HOW TO WORK IT.

We called Kevin in early January for an estimate, and he came over that Saturday (during a snow storm) to look at the job. He was personable, professional and just an overall very nice guy. When he started the job in early March, he gave us a timeline and an estimate. He needed to move the pouring date back due to rain, and he called us to let us know that he would possibly need to delay two days before (due to the weather) and called on the day he was supposed to be here, to let us know that he would be there two days later, when the rain would be over. We have never had someone be as punctual and professional, and we reallyl appreciated his efforts. His work is outstanding. He is very talented. To note, we had an old (75 yearish) handrail that we wanted to preserve. Kevin made recommendations and worked to preserve it and gave us tips on painting. It looks amazing. We plan to use him again, and I would highly recommend him.

Kevin was a pleasure to deal with, he did exactly what he said he would, his price was fair and his work including cleanup was excellent. With my busy schedule, I never actually met Kevin we did everything over the phone. I came home from work one day and my new steps were done. I would highly recommend him.

Perfect from start to finish. Kevin is extremely responsive, professional, and communicative. He critically analyzes the problem, offers helpful advice and performs the agreed upon work as soon as possible. Due to recent travel for work, I was unavailable on weekdays and he was kind enough to come on a Saturday. His work looks better than I thought it could. My house is over 100 yrs old and his workmanship on my foundation is amazing! His professionalism and skill were so refreshing. I got the estimate on a Saturday and the following Monday the work was started and completed on Tuesday. The new walk was dry by the following Thursday and we are very happy with it. All the old concrete was removed and prepared for replacement. The new walk is pitched perfectly to accommodate a small water drain built into it. The extra cement not used on the walk was used to patch up and smooth over other potential cracks in the wall near the sidewalk. This was done above and beyond expectations of the job to our satisfaction. We are happy with the work done and it was worth the price. The job exceeded our expectatons and we are pleased with the outcome.
