Awesome very happy with pricing. Bob was great he knows the product and installation was quick and professional. The product I purchased and had installed was a Harman pellet stove. I highly recommend Frederickson Farm.

Went into the stove shop to purchase a Harman pellet stove insert, we were greeted by a very friendly and courteous gentlemen. We started asking questions about the stove it self and the installation cost and procedures, all questions were answered to the best of his ability. It was then I saw a floor model for sale $600 off regular price and I asked if I still received the FULL manufactures warranty along with the $300 rebate from Harman. I was told yes on the warranty and I would get $100 from Harman. I was also told if they discount wasn't applied to the stove maybe it could be applied to the 2 tons of pellets I was going to purchase. My wife and I decided to purchase this stove because we felt like we were getting a decent price and giving business to a smaller shop not a large chain. The next day we received an email from Frederickson Farm stating that we could not get a warranty on a used unit because it has already been registered with Harman and I was also told we could not get the $100 rebate that was supposed to be $300 because the stove was a floor model. We called the store and spoke to Dean who was very nice and stated that he worked with Harman to get a 2 year warranty but needed to be registered by them but I would not get the rebate from Harman and no further discount. We all this happening we decided to get further information from another company who came to my home and stated the installation of the chimney would need to go all the way to the top, cap and seal. They also stated a permit needs to be pulled in the city I live in. Frederickson Farm had stated no permit was needed and they would only install the chimney 4 to 5 feet up my existing chimney no need to go to the top. In light of all of this we decided not to purchase the stove and requested a refund.

We were originally impressed with the dealer when we went to the store and bought the stove. In and out with the stove I wanted for the price I expected. When the installation started is when it all went downhill, as we were up-charged for several items that we thought were included which was all the result of poor communication by the company (later admitted to by the owner). After going back and forth with the dealer over the installation of a proper chimney cap which they tried to charge us for at a 300% markup we had everything settled. This is of course until May of 2016 when we go to have our chimney cleaned and the chimney sweeper, who inspected both flue in our chimney, told us the pellet stove installers did not put the chimney insert all the way to the top and now I am stuck paying another $1,000 to have a proper chimney insert installed to my stove. Please do yourself a favor and do not use this company. If I could find them on the BBB website I would file a complaint there too.

While in the market to buy the stove, one of the incentives to buy from this dealer was that there was a special running at the Scituate Art Festival on Columbus Day. That special was a and quot;minimum of 10% off the purchaseand quot; This was also advertised on the website. So we go to the festival and find the stove we were wanting a Harman Accentra Pellet Insert. When you sign for the stove you get the option to pull an additional discount from a kettle. I pull a free ton of wood pellets which is good. So I make the deal and head home. When i get home i realize that the slip didn't reference the 10% off, so I make a call to the shop and leave a vm asking if this will be updated. The VM regarding the 10% discount is never returned. Eventually we get the stove delivered and installed on a Saturday. We're told that they will come between 2-4pm for the install. 4pm comes and no call. 4:30pm comes and no call. 5PM comes and no call. I call at 5:15pm and ask for a call back. At 5:30pm they arrive at my house and perform the install and remove the old stove. While removing the stove they had to go on my roof to remove the chimney which he recommended I have a mason look at to make some repairs to the tiles and mortar. I found that to be a great service. He recommended a contractor they use for other jobs. Everything goes fine with the install and afterwards they go over how to operate the stove with me, step by step. While going over this i ask them a question regarding the final bill and the 10% off offer. I was told that it was only if you pulled it out of the can. You could pull up to ten percent off the purchase. That's not what was disclosed to me at the store and also on their website which i said. Then i'm told that the 10% off was actually for the Tax Credit the goverment is offering for this year and that I misinterpreted it. Basically it''s an additional $300 off which is good. I still find it a little upsetting that they didn't stand behind the offer of 10% off. Per website it said and quot;Minimum 10% off of your purchaseand quot; I feel that if a business makes an offer or sale they should stand behind it. That being said i'm impressed with the install and the quality of the product. I just wish that they would have been a little more up front with their customers.
