They were good.

The company responded almost immediately to our request for services. Greg Meyer came in the next day and looked over the job and sent us an estimate that night. The next morning I called Karen at Meyer and told her that I wanted them to do the job. We just bought the house and were in a hurry to get these things done. Two days later Greg came in and got right to work. He worked extremely hard and efficiently to get all of our jobs completed. Greg was very friendly, neat and professional. His quote didn't vary a cent from his original estimate. He was great to work with and I asked for a bunch of his business cards so I could pass them on. I would not hesitate for one second to hire him again or to recommend him to anyone. Also, his prices are very fair. Thanks again Meyer, Jay

I had an electrical problem at my home. The line to a sub panel (which distributes power to most of my house) failed. My main service panel was an older fuse based 100A service panel. I felt that the whole main panel should be replaced rather than just repairing the line to the sub-panel. I still had power in my kitchen, and basement circuits (so I could cook, do laundry, etc). So I wasn't in a rush, and wanted to have the work done right. Meyer was one of 3 contractors I asked to quote this job. They responded quickly and Karen talked with me within a day of the request to schedule Greg's visit early the next week. Meyer provided me a quote (via email) for the work a day after Greg's initial visit. Karen followed up to be sure I'd received the quote. (Of course my email provider had filtered it out into the SPAM folder.) Once that was sorted out, I reviewed the quote and quickly accepted. I believe the Meyer quote was the best quote in detail, price, and up-front costs. Karen called me to schedule the work. I had to wait a few weeks as they had a full schedule, but I believe it was worth it. Meyer also arranged the permits and city inspection. Greg (and team) arrived on time on the scheduled date and had the work completed quickly. I don't think the power was out more than an hour or so during the transition from the old service to the new. And the basement area where they worked was cleaner when they left than when they started working. When the work was completed Greg reviewed it with me and pointed out a few issues that would have to be resolved later. They needed to replace a part that they didn't have on hand that day. I would likely have never noticed the problems if he hadn't pointed them out. Karen kept me in the loop on the scheduling for the return visit and city inspection while Greg worked on finding that replacement part for the new breaker panel. Greg returned at a later date to resolve the issues, and had the city inspector review and sign off on the job the same day. Overall I'm very happy with the work done by Meyer.

Karen was quick to respond and set up appointment within our time constraints, and Greg was on time for appointment and estimate. Greg's inspection was more thorough than others, and his design to resolve issues was simpler than others. They generated the formal work estimate within 3 days. Greg was the most responsive of all bidders, with both written price and nature of work to be performed. He showed up when expected, and completed all work very satisfactorily, as expected, on time, and as priced. We would have liked to have paid via credit card instead of check, but their office is currently not set up for that; however we would readily do business with Meyer Electric again.

They made an appointment for the next day, and arrived promptly. They were pleasant and did a great job.

Karen promptly scheduled an appointment when I called. Greg arrived on time for the appointment and spent a considerable amount of time developing a lighting scheme for the living room with us, work for which he will be providing a quote. Greg then did the electrical work necessary to hook-up the new gas fireplace in the living room. Karen made a follow-up call that evening to confirm that the work that had been done was satisfactory. My experience with Meyer Electric was excellent; both Karen and Greg are professional, timely and friendly. It was a pleasure to work with them, and I will certainly use Meyer Electric again.

We blew fuses Christmas Eve and Christmas day. We called him Monday morning and he was here within an hour or two. It was an easy quick fix. He was nice, reasonable. He also helped with some outdoor outlets. He was very reasonable.

Service was prompt, courteous and friendly. Explain the issues in detail. Remained on-site until all the problems were resolved. I would highly recommend this company.

Per the request of my new insurance company I had to remove all knob and tube wiring from my basement and attic. I received at least 4 estimates and the range of the estimates was unbelievable. There was a huge price difference between the high and low estimates. I felt some of the electricians were possibly trying to take advantage of me and this was before I received their written estimates. When Mr. Meyer ? was checking my wiring and explaining the work that needed to be done he seemed very trustworthy and when I received the estimate it seemed very reasonable. I worked with his wife Karen to schedule the job and payment details. Karen returned all calls and emailed receipts very promptly. Mr. Meyer completed all the work 4/15 with no issues. Walked me thru all the wiring and lighting fixture changes in the basement attic. I have had no issue with the wiring and replacement light fixtures in the basement and attic.

Overall, it went great. Greg came to our home on a Saturday morning in order to listen to our detailed description of what we wanted done. He provided thoughtful and detailed insight into options and explained exactly how he would propose to perform the work and why. He was very prompt with a quote (within 2 days), which was reasonable. He was also prompt to schedule a convenient day to perform the work. The motion sensors we wanted for our porch were unfortunately on back-order, so a follow up day needed to be scheduled. On the first day of work, Greg was efficient and professional. The two new outlets were installed exactly as discussed. He moved the outlet for our TV, and as mentioned, offered to patch the hole in the wall that the outlet was originally in. I appreciated this as I anticipated most electricians wouldn't get involved in drywall patching/plastering, etc. He installed the motion sensors and lighting fixtures on our garage. He made sure to clean up after himself and left everything neat and all surroundings in their original condition. Greg agreed to take a partial payment as the motion sensors for our porch needed to be installed. That week I "tested" the motion sensors on the garage and found that they stayed on for just a short few seconds before turning back off. I adjusted the settings, but couldn't get the lights to stay on for more than a few seconds. I e-mailed Greg regarding the problem and asked him to be prepared to address it when he came back out. Once the second sensor came in, Greg agreed to come back out (this time on a Saturday). He arrived and explained how he had researched the sensor problem on several electricians blogs and product websites, and believed that the problem was due to the sensor's proximity to the lights. He spent a good hour implementing a "fix" and tested the system. He then installed the second sensor for our porch lights. Once installed, he spent a good half an hour walking varied approaches and angles to the sensor to test the system and make sure it was operating. Again, he cleaned up completely and made sure everything was working and that we were satisfied before finishing up. Before he left, I asked him to take a quick look at a problem I was having with our pool and a circuit breaker. He opened up the circuit and a bunch of switches and offered some educated guesses as to what the problem might be. Figuring it was a bad switch, he gave me detailed instructions on what to buy at Home Depot, and how to install it. Overall, I was extremely happy with the experience. Greg is very professional and good natured. His communication was good, including the fact that one part was on back-order, and how to schedule around it. He was patient and accepting of all of our feedback. I never got the sense that he was in a rush to leave, or to cut corners - he kept working and adjusting until everything was operating perfectly. I was particularly impressed and grateful that after a long day (on a weekend) he was cheerful about looking at "one more" little problem even though it wasn't part of the quote or the discussed scope of work, and that he dug into it to give me helpful insight, rather than poking around quickly and taking a "guess". I came away feeling like he had a well developed instinct for customer satisfaction. Greg's price was extremely fair. Electrical work can be expensive, but assuming his quotes stay reasonable, Greg has earned my "first call" for all future work. I highly recommend him based on my experience.

They were very responsive and very professional. They were quick and their communication was good. They are a husband-and-wife team and were interesting. They had a very competitive labor cost, but their material cost was probably triple or four times over what it should have been. They did not bring it down. I had a pretty good idea of what it would cost, but they simply refused to bring it down. The estimate was for $3800. They just did not give me what I was asking for, but I would love to use them in the future.

They came out, they ordered some parts, and they?ll be back on Friday. They responded to me right away, they came out quickly to do the estimate, and he?s a registered electrician so I have confidence that he can do the job right.

While, we had hoped for a quick ID and easy repair, he spent 4 hours troubleshooting a very complex and antiquated electrical system, until he found the problem and made the appropriate repairs. He did not grow fustrated or give up (as I had done before calling him in to help!). I would recommend him for repairs and new installations for your electrical needs.
