I wanted a Kohler 14KW startup generator for my home. Salesman Dave never told me they could install it themselves, rather left it up to me to get a plumber and electrician which I did. Never told me about proper installation location after I showed him where I thought it should go, and found out after I poured the cement slab that it was facing the wrong direction by reading about it online. Paid half down and a few weeks later I called inquiring when it would be delivered, seems no one knew. Then they found it on their work floor and said it would be delivered sometime during the week and they would call first. Later in the week they showed up unannounced and wanted help in unloading the large generator as they didn't bring enough help. After having the plumber and electrician do their installation, I sent another check for the balance, but had to ask twice to be sent an invoice that said,"paid in full." They came and did their $350.00 30 min. installation, ran through a load cycle and set the generator to startup every Sat. to automatically go through a checkup, which it did faithfully at the same time each week, this was Jan. 14th. We had a power outage on April 17th. and the generator didn't run. I called them, they sent a guy out from 35 miles away who found a loose wire in about 15 minutes. The power had been restored by the time he got here so he put it through its paces putting a load on it, all was good. I received a bill for $452.00 2 weeks later and they say it wasn't covered by the warranty. Poorly managed and run company, keep your distance.
