Thank you for visiting Ace Handyman Services formerly HandyMan Matters (since 2010) now based in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, servicing all of Rhode Island. Ace Handyman Services is locally owned and operated by Louis Paiva. Lou brings extensive experience in commercial and residential home improvements to help transform the handyman business one customer at a time. We are doing this by providing the upmost professional service and quality from the time you contact Ace Handyman Services to the point of completion of your project. Our company specializes in the small right up to larger remodel sized projects. With one call to us, you can fix or repair all your TO-DO-LIST. All of our craftsmen combined have over 30 years experience in residential and commercial applications. We have specialists in all fields including kitchen, bathroom and basement remodels as well as carpentry, interior and exterior painting, tile and flooring, electrical, plumbing, vinyl siding, custom crown molding, wainscoting just to name a few. Description of Work: We made a list of tasks of various kinds. 4 window panes from our ancient window frames to be replaced. A folding door to rehang. Bathtubs to be recaulked. Work inside and outside. Paul organized the list so he could start upstairs and work down, neat and tidy as could be, and finished well within the time. He was also wonderful with the dogs and explained everything to us! I would certainly call Handyman Matters again, and this time, I won't let these tasks wait for ages before getting help.

Description of Work: Did not hire. Spoke to representative on the phone, she was polite and professional. I described the job I needed, replace rotted trim and sills on three windows. I was quoted $275.00 for 4 hrs plus a $25.00 service fee which I thought was strange. After 4 hrs of work they would charge $68.75 per hour. This company does not quote per job. I was not comfortable with an hourly charge.

we apologize if there was any mis-understanding in our pricing. but unfortunately with costs of fuel and manpower and for jobs smaller than 3 days we don't come out and give in home estimates unless we have to. most small jobs we can price a range over the phone. we are up front with our pricing and try to evaluate the jobs over the phone to keep costs down. 68.75 is a very fair price when you compare us to other much comparoble companies which offer the same type of service with a full time call center, we offer back-round checked craftsman with over ten years experience. we offer 3 insurances, 2mil liability, 500k workers comp and a security bond. we are a contractor with a proventrack record who back up our services.
