I went to New England Grill and Hearth last summer to find out information about wood stove inserts to fit into my existing fireplace. The owner worked with my husband and me in finding the stove that would best fit. He also did the installation, which didn't seem like a fun job at all, climbing up on the roof and all. He was always accommodating as far as scheduling and whenever I had questions-- and I had many-- he was quick to answer them. We are happy with the stove! I would suggest however, to others looking into installing a wood insert in their fireplace, that you do lots of preliminary research of what is available and what you are looking to get out of the stove. For example, do you want it for your main heat source or as a supplement? Because these are things you will want to discuss with your retailer. I will tell you that during the blizzard when we lost power, because I had a wood stove I still had some heat in the house. The stove has a separate electric blower that of course did not operate during the power outage, but the stove still gave off heat. So, power supply is something you want to think about too. And if your fireplace is in the center of your house rather than on an outside wall, you will get more heat from it. I would also encourage you to always pull necessary permits for any work on your house that requires one. This is important to you in terms of liability. In conclusion New England Grill and Hearth's owner Saleem Magriby is a great guy, a very hardworking guy, who put up with my constant questions and my tendency to worry and fret about everything. His business is rather new but I think in the couple of years he has been in operation, he has won over a lot of customers with his diligence and honesty.
