Where do you begin when you work with someone as outstanding as Melissa Rampone? Melissa was the 5th and last realtor that I was interviewing for the sale of my home, so needless to say, I had already been through the drill. I've had 4 previous sales pitches, comps, and game plans. I had received her information as a referral from another realtor that unfortunately was no longer serving my area. I was relocating, and was knowingly going to take a loss on my property due to the declining market. First impressions are everything, especially with real estate. Melissa showed up to her appointment at our home early, dressed professionally, prepared to get started right on time. Her prior phone conversations made it clear that she took pride in being prompt, courteous, and professional. She arrived inside my condo, pen in hand, already taking notes of all the features that we had to offer. She asked all the right questions, took note of all of the important qualities, and had a good synopsis as we were just getting acquainted. She made it clear above all of the other realtors that she had the attention to detail that could get our home sold. After a few minutes of walking around my home, anyone could sense the overwhelming confidence, enthusiasm, and professionalism that she has to offer. When we finally sat down to talk business, and she was all business. She came with her homework completed with appropriate comps, a listing plan, and of course, a listing price. She was brutally honest and you could just sense that she knows what she's doing. Her proposed listing price was $4,500 above what others had recommended, which happened to be exactly what I was thinking based on all the comparable units, and the condition of our home and the unfortunate decline of the market. There was no fluff of "oh well we can put it on the market for $XXX,XXX and see if someone bites". It was all business - "This is how much you should sell your house for". It all made sense. And then her personality took over. You could talk to her as if you had known her for years, but as soon as it got down to numbers, she was back to all business. She's exactly what anyone would ever want, or need in real estate. She truly is the perfect blend a kind, personable, compassionate person, mixed with a no-nonsense business woman. Even after we said we'd list with her, we had a very pleasant conversation for about an hour just getting to know her. She truly is a fantastic person. She went over all that she would do to get my property sold and unlike the other realtors actually went into the finer details of networks and services she would be utilizing to get the appropriate visibility for my home. She had an effective, concise game plan. She instilled the confidence in me that even in the lousy housing market, she would do her best to get my house sold. She response promptly to texts, emails, & phone calls. She had a few extra documents prepared for us in under an hour when needed. She is truly committed to customer service, and when you work with her you feel like a valued client. Most importantly, Melissa takes charge of her listings. She does not believe in lock boxes, so if there is a showing, she is there. Even more importantly, she doesn't farm out showings/open houses to other agents. She is your agent and takes charge of all the business. Eleven days pass. My home sold at full price. Melissa Rampone is the best realtor you will ever find, hands down. She's energetic, intelligent, confident, professional, and realistic. My house wouldn't have sold for what it did, as quickly as it did, had I not had her expertise, her realistic market value pricing, and her amazing attitude working for my best interest.
