+ 0 moreThe best part, was this past week with all the heavy winds ( 60 mph wind gust over a 24 hr span) the cap blew off. I emailed Kevin to get a quote to reinstall the cap. His reply... " Jim, your all set" surprised I look up when I got home and the cap was on again. I emailed him to get an invoice ... his reply "No charge, I put it up. I want it to make sure it stays up." THAT'S WHAT CALL EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE!!! I would recommend Colonial Chimney Sweep to anybody who asked or needed his service. Thank you again Kevin you're the best. Jim & Rosalind
Description of Work: A little over a year ago we hire Colonial Chimney Sweep to clean our chimney and as suggested put a cap on it. Kevin took care of all that for us in a prompt matter, and well within our budget. the service was excellent.

They use top quality chimney liners (as opposed to the dryer vent type material) and have the fire-fighting experience to back up their product. GREAT bunch of guys who show up on time, are polite and deliver on their promises. These are they guys for your chimney sweep, liner, repair needs!!!

+ 0 moreThey first came out in October to assess the damage and furnish an estimate; however, the estimate never came. This was my only complaint, but we couldn't have it done until the new year anyway. When I called back in April, they came out and looked again and this time I did get an estimate, so I sent in a deposit and they had the liner made. I didn't have any trouble other than never receiving the first estimate which I am sure was just an oversight, and I never did bother to remind them until I was ready to have the actual work done . They were professional, very nice and friendly, and did a great job and cleaned up after themselves very well. They used quality materials. I would recommend this company.
Description of Work: Old furnace chimney liner had broken down and fallen apart inside the chimney. It needed to be cleaned out and a new stainless steel liner put in.

Description of Work: I called this company the day after Hurricane Sandy. They came two days later to give me an estimate. They could not commit to an appointment, but promised to fit me in the next week. I called every week for four weeks and each time, the owner told me the same thing -- they would be here within the week. After a month, I called another provider. So they were very responsive in providing an estimate but not in doing the work. Interestingly, I called Casey's next (on 12/5). They were booked until January, so they gave me the name of Island Chimney Services. Same thing happened with Island -- they came and did estimate pronto, promised to fit me in (its a small job), would happen before the holidays....etc. Never came. So I'm going to call Casey's back and say that I'll take an appointment even if it is in February, because the company they referred me to did not come through.
