Description of Work: Upgraded closing mechanism on a driveway gate. Added a second latch and pipe for security. This was a rather special request, but we did have a problem reaching an understanding of what needed to be done, and while we are satisfied with the result, the work did not turn out quite as we expected.

Description of Work: They repaired a fence which was damaged in a storm. I appreciated that the man who provided the estimate included several different options (such as keeping the current posts or replacing them and re-using sections of fence or replacing them)and explained the pros and cons of each choice. The work was started and completed when promised and is of great quality.

Description of Work: Fix fence behind house. Prices higher than others but they have a three year warranty. May use then in the future.

Description of Work: I had them back to correct a too-shallow installation of a gatepost in connection with a job they did three years ago. They were very good about correcting the mistake, however as it should have been done right the first time, I am not sure I would use them again.

Description of Work: About a dozen years ago, Wood & Wire installed gates to our driveway. (They also did quite a bit of fence work for us.) But with age and heavy use, the gates began to sag a bit toward the center, making it difficult to close them snugly. So we contacted Wood & Wire for repair. They did excellent work, replacing the metal rods that drop into holes in the driveway pavers to secure the gates aginst winds, etc. The new rods, made from thick tubes, will stops North Korean tanks! Moreover, the charge was quite modest, less than what we had expected. I would like to add that everytime Wood & Fence did some work for us, they exceeded our expectations, in the quality of their work, the fairness of the chartes, and overall professionalism. This is an excellent company, and we will call on them in the future.
