When you make an investment in your home and spend hard earned money on a new oil boiler you have to choose the correct company. After having a total of three companyâ s come in our house with estimates we made the choice, Martels. The reviews tell a true tale. Last week, our 29 year-old boiler (a HeatMaker, floor model and a work horse) malfunctioned and we called roughly 10-12 Plumbing and Heating companies to repair our unit as well as to provide us with a quote. After meeting with all contractors, it turned out that we had to replace the unit. During our meeting with all contractors, we must say that the one that stood out the most to us was Martel Plumbing and Heating. As a result, we ended up selecting Martel. From beginning to end, they were extremely professional. The same day we called, they appeared within 15-20 minutes from the call. We add that this is a Lincoln Rhode Island company and we live in Southern Massachusetts. Nevertheless, a gentleman by the name of Jim Martel came out to meet with us. Like all others, he inspected the old unit and gave us the details as to why it malfunctioned. He provided options to replace the unit with newer 95% energy efficient units as well as a similar newer floor models at 83% energy efficient. None of the other contractors provided us with several options or details for us to make an informed decision on which unit to purchase and costs. All they showed us only 1 unit and 1 price! We include that Martel was the company with a better price, for a better unit! In addition, the details of explanation during our meeting with Jim provided us with a lot of comfort. He was very professional, knowledgeable, listened, and worked with us to provide the best unit within our budget. Martelâ s disconnecting and installation crew, including Kyle and Jim, were also pleasant, professional, knowledgeable, and performed a very clean and neat quality of work. Truly standing by their Logo slogan, â Neat & Professional Workmanshipâ . After installation, they tested the unit, hot water heater, and thermostats, as well as explained everything we needed to know about the unit. The primary reason we feel compelled in placing a comment here is due to our overall experience and satisfaction by choosing Martel, honestly!

Martel plumbing was a great choice, Jessica who answered my call was courteous and very helpful, John is the tech who removed the expiring water heater and replaced it with the new one, was knowledgeable, helpful and quick. He answered my concerns and I would reach to them if necessity exist.

I would use them again. They were kind, professional and responded to me quickly. I never had a boiler previously so Gary clearly explained everything I needed to know. My only criticism is that nobody discussed their billing rates before they came out so the bill was a big shock. I share the blame because I did forget to ask but I wish someone had given me a labor estimate first. I will definitely use them again and have already scheduled my cleaning for the fall.

Very Professional. I hired them to install a new gas hot water and a new gas boiler. They did a great job and cleaned up everything when they were done. I plan on using them again for another conversion project.
