Description of Work: They treated our 2 acre lawn. It looks great and whenever we called about something there was someone there within 24 hours to either consult us or fix the issue or both. The people on the phone are very helpful. They beat other prices by a lot of money - less than half of another "green" company and the service and outcome were much better.

Description of Work: I hired TurfMaster to take care of my landscaping while I was away most of the summer. They took care of the general maintenance (mowing, etc) and the seasonal treatments like fertilizer, dethatching, etc.

Description of Work: Other than regular monthly yard work/maintenance, I hired Turfmaster to put up a fence and install a paver in my backyard. They showed up when they said they would (allowed a few off-days for bad weather) and overall were very professional, efficient and did a great job. I would highly recommend Turfmaster, and the owner, Rad. Great company!

 + -1 moreThe owner gave us an estimate for the entire job. I accepted it and he ordered the putting green materials. It took about 3 weeks for the materials to come in. Then we set up a date to install with the stipulation that I wanted it installed in good weather. The weather was pretty rainy but the owner went on a day by day basis and was able too install everything in 2 dry mornings. The crew were neat, efficient, and courteous. Cleanup was thorough. The final job was beautiful and we have been enjoying our puttinhg green everyday. Our golf games have definitely improved!
Description of Work: Had a 20x25 foot putting green installed with 3 cups and flags. Also had approx. 20 plants and mulch installed surrounding the green. It took 2 days to complete the entire project due to rainy weather. The owner specializes in this type of installation and is very knowledgeable in designing the landscape. The finish project is beautiful and we use it everyday. We love it!

 + 1 moreI called TurfMaster for an estimate. Unlike every other company I talked to they actually charge 35 dollars for a yard consultation. I was assured that with the master degree the guy had in horticulture it would be well worth the money. I thought he might save me some trouble. Well, he came out and I think he would have came and went without saying much of anything had I not asked questions. He didn't do anything differently than what every other company does. He left and told me that he would get back to me with an estimate real soon. Days went by, and I called him to get the estimate. He apologized and told me that he forgot, and that he would get me an estimate by the end of the day. It's now been 4 days and I haven't heard from him. He probably does good work, I don't know, but it was a waste of 35 dollars.
Description of Work: He didn't do the work, but we were asking for new loom and sod, and a fence around our entire yard.

Description of Work: I just started researching companies that perform lawn installations. I had called several companies before I called this one. i had a good feeling about this company because of past reviews as well as it being a local company. I was disappointed when I spoke to the owner and he stated that it would be a thirty-five dollar charge just to come out and give us an estimate. He went on to say further that the charge would be taken off the total estimate once he "got" the job. I stated that I found that to be unfair because it binds the customer to his company without accepting his work estimate. I also stated travel time is a write off for his business and it should not be charged to the customer. I expressed my displeasure at this charge and stated that I would continue looking elsewhere. He lost my business as a result of that unpleasant phone call.

 + -1 moreI'm moving, but, I want the yard to look good. They have different rates for fertilizer, lawn work, they have a wide selection, and you can pick what you want. I think the price is a little high, but, they do good work. We get a monthly bill and haven't gotten it yet. I give them high ratings and will continue to use them for my lawn care needs.
Description of Work: They do lawn maintenance and they came a week ago to do spring cleanup.

 + 1 moreExcellent work. They showed up when promised, did the work I wanted, and finished on time. The new lawn came in thick and full. Very satisfied with the service I received and with the end result.
Description of Work: First they scraped off and hauled away about 1 - 2 inches of bad topsoil from my backyard (bad as in full of weeds, rock, old tree roots, etc). They then filled in with good clean topsoil and smoothed everything out with a bobcat and by hand where necessary. Then they prepared the soil for seeding by spreading fertilizer and lime. Next they seeded and rolled the topsoil with a high quality grass seed.

Description of Work: Due to injury our yard had become over grown in areas. In addition to fertilization treatments they performed an overall spring cleanup, weeded and mulched a large bed and loam/seeded an area of grub damage. They went well beyond our expectations and we are looking forward to using them again.

 + 0 moreOn march 28, 2011 Rad came to my house and gave me the estimate. I called him to do the work and he came on april 7, 2011. They spring cleaned the back and front yard. In the front yard they also dethatched my lawn and edged the beds. He then fertilized my lawn with crabgrass control. My lawn has never been this lush and green, it is absolutely beautiful.
Description of Work: Spring cleanup raked back yard. In front yard they dethatched lawn and edged out all beds. Fertilizer and crabgrass control on the next day.

 + 0 moreI sign the contract in the spring and he comes all summer. The one time there was a problem he came back and made good on it and actually didn't charge me because I had to replace some plants. He took them out for free and waived the fee for the month. He is very reputable.
Description of Work: Monthly payment plan for lawn services. Includes everything for the summer as well as getting everything ready for fall in terms of fertilizing, antidessecants. This is all just lawn work. This is feeding, fertilizer and pest control for the lawn and trees and shrubs.

The thing that stood out the most was that he knew so much about the work. He put a little instrument down to the ground and examined the dirt and tested it. He went back and called me about the soil. He seemed very scientific and professional. I would recommend him to others. I would use them again in the future.
