Gary arrived on time and evaluated the situation. He was very knowledgeable in electricity connections needed for in ground pool systems. He reviewed the Hayward installation book and specifications for the electrical ignition system this pool heater has. He was very conscientious and verified that the dedicated line to a new pool pump I had added last year had a GFI circuit breaker, 20 AMP. He made sure the amperage used for the pool pump and what was needed for the electronic ignition and digital display control panel on the new pool heater were in the proper range to be on the same circuit. After the electric connection was made, he reviewed the controls with me and how to adjust the settings. Gary was a true professional and I have not been this pleased with an electrician in a long time.

I called on Mothers day after I had attempted to replace the pressure switch on my well pump and tripped the main breaker in the house. To my surprise they answered the phone. We had no power or water. I called Mallozzi Electrical after reviewing the company on Angie's list. To my surprise they told me they would be there in an hour. Sure enough the owner and his son showed up at 8PM on Sunday night. They could not have been any nicer. They diagnosed the problem in 5 minutes, found the main breaker on the other side of the house and in 10 minutes the power was back on. They then re wired my well pump pressure switch and fixed that as well. The owner was telling me how much he enjoys going out and meeting people. I have to tell you that I will use them for every project going forward. In this day and age when every call to contractors goes into a cell phone answering machine this company does it right. I contacted Mallozzi Electric through an email on Angie's List. Gary Jr. called me that very same day. I told him we had moved just before winter and had moved the hot tub and now needed to have the electrical work done so that we could once again use it. He said he would be in the area that week and would give me a call to come out and see the job and provide me with a quote. Gary Sr. came out on Friday and reviewed the job and told me he would get back to me with a quote and would be able to do the job for us the very next week. I was impressed with how quickly they responded. Gary Sr. called me on Monday with the quote and let me know that if I was ok with the quote he would be able to do the job the very next day. As promised both Gary Sr. and Gary Jr. arrived first thing Tuesday. It was a pretty big job as they had to connect the wiring into the house and then bring it outside attaching another box outside. They had to dig a ditch to bury the wiring in conduit from the back deck and down across the hot tub connecting the wiring to the hot tub. Both Gentleman were very pleasant and professional. The job was completed and we filled the hot tub and tested it to make sure that everything was working properly before they left. Everything was completed in a timely manner and was clean when they left. I would definitely recommend this father and son team. I was extremely impressed with how quickly they were able to get the quote and do the work. I am very satisfied. Thank you Gary Sr and Gary Jr. it was a pleasure doing business with you! Gary and his crew were at my home bright and early as he said they would be. His crew was there all day wiring the 2 outlets for the pool and the additional outlet needed to meet code. Originally,we were going to run the wiring through trenches in our yard. Due to the size of the yard and the pool (small yard,big pool) the trenches were not practical. We called Gary and asked about conduits instead. He quickly switched the whole plan around and was very easy going. He explained everything to us and answered every question we had. They worked hard through out the day and the results were perfect. I highly recommend this company. Hard workers at a very fair price.

My wife and I had been doing some remodeling to our older home. With some of the walls torn down we decided it would be a good time to add some more wall outlets, upgrade the older ones, put a new light in the bathroom with a wall switch and replace all the old wiring in those rooms. We didn't have an electrician so we turned to Angie's List to find one. After researching several companies we decided to call Mallozzi Electric, and we were glad we did. I called them and I told the owner Gary what I needed done and we set up a date to have an estimate done. They arrived on time and spent a great deal of time looking over what had to be done and discussed with me some potential problems. Gary said he would get back to me in a couple of days with an estimate. He called back a few days later like he said he would with an estimate which was very fair and I gave him the job. They arrived Wednesday at 8:45 am right on time and went to work. The work was completed on time and they did an excellent job. Since I'm retired I was home for most of the day and I had several conversations with the owner Gary and his son while they worked about several different topics. Not only did they do an excellent job at a reasonable price they made you feel very comfortable during the whole process "THAT'S IMPORTANT". We couldn't be happier with the perfect work they did. The new recessed lights are so much more attractive and as Gary said, they throw a lot more light than the old fashioned large canisters. My initial call for an estimate was answered promptly and all appointments were kept on time. This was very important to us because painters were coming the next week and the electrical work had to be finished first. Gary also checked out a malfunctioning garage door light and programmed our remotes (free of charge) so that we could turn on the light when driving in the garage. The work was finished in one day. We will definitely hire again!

Mallozzi Electric did a very good job. They used a drop cloth to protect my bathroom floor before starting to remove the old fan and then proceeded into the attic to make sure the new fan I had purchased would fit properly. As it turned out it didn't and they would've had to cut a new opening in the ceiling, which we didn't want. While I went back to the store to buy a new fan, they installed the smoke detectors and the thermostats. They then installed the new fan and the timers. They made sure everything was working before they left. The only reason I gave them a B, is because they didn't want to honor their Angie's List coupon. They told me that their price was already low enough. They hadn't mentioned that they would refuse the coupon when I booked the appointment. After some negotiation, they gave me a 5% discount.

The job was more difficult than originally described, as he had to replace the outdated (and out-of-code) wiring in the ceiling before he could install the new light. He managed to do this very skillfully, so that the ceiling was not damaged and did not require any retouching. He also informed me of a dangerous wiring set-up in the basement and succeeded in fixing the problem. The work, originally scheduled for half an hour, extended to about three hours. Throughout, he was courteous and helpful. I will definitely call Mallozzi Electric again.

The electrician was great on the phone, and arrived EARLY before our agreed time. He was able to complete MORE than we asked for. This made our home safer, and much more user friendly.

I had used Mallozzi Electric once before to install a ceiling fan (see my positive review from August 2014) and was glad to have their number handy when my husband discovered that the dripping sound in the basement was rainwater pouring over the electrical panel + fuse box. Gary, Jr came over right away. He spent about an hour (some of it working outdoors in the rain) troubleshooting the problem, applying a temporary fix to get us safely through the night, and explaining what needed to be done to permanently resolve the issue. He gave me a written quote, which I agreed to, and he and his father returned the next morning to do the work. They arrived on time, got right down to business, and worked neatly and efficiently until the job was done; much of this work was on the outside of the house, where they worked in 40 degree drizzling rain. Both men are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Their responsiveness to our emergency was impressive - it was a relief to know that they would be coming right away. I feel very comfortable with the work that they did and I would recommend this business without any hesitation at all. Thank you, Gary and Gary!

Gary did a great job. I first left a message on his cell. He returned my phone call within 5 minutes. He happened to have a cancelation and was at my house within the hour. He was very professional and great about explaining what he was doing. He was very neat and clean, very respectful of my house. There was a quick fix to my ceiling light. I would not have known that but he was honest. He could have replaced the fixture and I wouldn't have known the difference. He will be returning to replace something in the low voltage light and I am adding more to the list of things for him to do. I would highly recommend him.

I was very impressed with Mallozzi Electric. In doing some renovations, I discovered some interesting wiring. In the end to fix it required some above and beyond effort from Gary. I was so thrilled he could get it to setup correctly considering the task at hand (going through a ton of concrete). I thought given the effort required the price was incredibly reasonable. He also was able to do the other work that I needed the same day which was great. He was very personable and it was easy to setup an appointment that worked with my schedule. I would definitely call him again when I need additional work done and would be happy to refer him to anyone who asked.

Had a call back within a day of calling. Gary came to the house to determine work to be done. Within in 8-10 days Gary made an appointment to come and do the work. I am very pleased with the work, considering they had to dig in my beds to put new wire, they were careful and neat. Would definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

Gary has done work in the house before and has always done an excellent job. This time was no exception. He's very friendly and extremely competent. I'll certainly continue to use Mallozzi Electric without hesitation. I recommend them very highly.

They responded promptly to my request for service. They made an appointment and were here when they said they said they would be here. I was happy with the quality of their work. The back porch light had not worked in over two years. They needed to do the job properly as it was not done properly before. It took two people and a while to get the job done because but it was a mess.

I called the business phone (which is also the owner's cell phone) and spoke immediately with Gary who was very friendly and responsive. I explained what I needed his help with and we made arrangements to have the job done 2 days later. He gave me a 3 hr window of time during which he would arrive, and told me he would call 1 hr before. He called, as promised, and arrived at the right time. He works with his 2 sons and the sons did the work of dissembling/assembling/installing. They were fast (done in ~ 40 minutes), professional, and clean. I was charged their "standard cost of a service call" - $200.00 - which is not inexpensive, but it was a job that I couldn't do myself. I haven't used an electrician for YEARS, so I have no idea if that price is average for a service call.... Regardless, Mallozzi Electric did the job efficiently and professionally, and I am satisfied.

When I called them, they said they would happen to have a person in my area so my fear that it would take forever for someone to come out was not realized. They said they'd call when in my area and they did just that. When I got to my home from work, they were waiting in their truck for me. It took a very short time for them to find the problem, go to the store and fix it. They were very personable and professional. I have paid $500 to have an electrician come out for a very short time so $300 is very reasonable. I am VERY PLEASED.

Gary came to the house today as promised and was able to obtain the necessary parts to complete the job in a very timely manner.
