I needed a replacement dogguard collar so I contacted Ken. He stated that he was going to be in my area (Acushnet, MA) the next day. He brought my new collar and told me that my 7 year old collar was still under warranty . I only paid a small warranty fee and everything worked great. Thanks again Ken.

Ken is so knowledgeable and professional. He installed my electric fence and spent a lot of time training my dog ( and me) on how to work with the fence so that the dog will respect the boundaries.

I felt the cost was high for the amount of time and labor. It took to install the system, however, the fact that Scott lives nearby, who is very knowledgeable and experience, and it came with the warranty I chose to use his company. I feel confident I can call him at any time for assistance.

Ken was super nice, and he came and installed the electric fence the next day. As far as that goes, everything was great. The problem is that the first shock collar was just too big for my 8-month-old puppy, so during initial testing my puppy didn't even react. Ken cranked up the range on the buried wire so that it shocked the dog between around 8 and 9-1/2 feet (yes, I later measured), and he cranked up the voltage in the collar. So with the cable buried roughly 3 feet form the lawn edges, we lost close to 15 feet from all edges of our property. After some hit-and-miss testing attempts, Ken put a better fitting collar on the dog and obviously didn't test well enough, because... The next day I took my puppy into the yard and he made a sound I've never heard him make before and I hope to never hear again. He was, at this point, nearly 15 feet from the sidewalk in front of my house and had the most terrifying reaction at what should have been the lowest setting with a warning tone. I took the collar off and held it in my hand and I shocked myself at that level and it HURT all the way up to my shoulder. Bear in mind that I'm a 6-foot man at 240 pounds, compared to my 60 pound puppy with this around his neck! I turned down the levels myself and tested with my dog and we now have a good setting, but he's still terrified to go within maybe 20 or so feet of the sidewalk in front of my house. Also, I relocated the flag markers from where Ken put them to where the Dog Guard website says they should be, rather than an arbitrary distance away that didn't get accounted for after the range was cranked up to almost 10 feet. On the upside, my dog's terrified to cross the boundary. On the downside, it should be a increasing correction the closer he gets to the wire, not OMFG from nearly 10 feet away.

Our appointment was scheduled for 8am and Kenny was right on time. He was very thorough in explaining how the wire fence would be put in & in showing us how to train our dog Chip. I highly recommend Dog Guard if you are considering installing an electric fence.
