I dreaded this project, but Mike Susi of Armando Ricci & Sons took care of everything. He installed a new state-of -the-art septic system. It took him, and his crew of two, four days to complete the project. Mike is personable and professional. I am very satisfied and would recommend him to anyone. I'm confident that I got the best value possible for my money.

Mike Susi of Armando Ricci and Sons was recommended to us by the company who pumped our system. They said he was the and quot;best in the businessand quot; and that he would tell it to us straight and there would be no surprises. He said many companies give low estimates and then once they start the project and there's a giant whole in your yard, they break the bad news of what it will really cost to complete the job. He said Mike will give an honest assessment up front and we won't be disappointed. We took his advice and we're so happy we did. Our septic was original to the house, which was built in 1961. That's a long time. Environmental laws and regulations have changed dramatically in the past 50 years! No one wants to hear that their septic system needs to be replaced and then on top of that learn that because of new regulations, it cannot be replaced as is and a new, alternative system is needed. We had the added issues of ledge and a high water table. My husband and I were shell-shocked when we met with Mike and the engineer he works with as they discussed how the system would work, what it would look like and how much it would cost. Having grown up with city sewers, I could not even picture what Mike was describing. He was very kind and patient. Having done a similar project for someone else on our street, Mike called them to see if he could bring us by to view their set up. Mike went out of his way to make sure we understood what was involved and why. Mike answered all of our questions and was patient when we would call back and ask the same questions again. [Did I mention how overwhelming this can be?] Mike worked closely with us and the engineer to design the best system for our needs and budget, given the restraints we faced with ledge, water table, etc.. Mike walked us through every step of the process (plan design, DEM approval, tree removal, site work) and answered all of our questions. Once the actual work started, Mike and his crew were fast, efficient, and professional. The project started on a Friday, with work done on Sat/Mon/Tues/Wed and they finished up on Thursday. FAST! We were only without water for a few hours on the first day. Not a big deal. Mike coordinated the inspections, electrical work and everything went like clockwork. No one wants to go through a septic system replacement. But if you have to, there's no one better than Mike Susi of Armando Ricci and Sons. He'll tell you the truth upfront. He won't pull any punches. But there won't be any surprises and you'll be pleased with the results.

He was really good. They were absolutely excellent. We had other people come in here and gave us $4500 appraisers. There were all third parties. This was going like direct. One was a big plumbing company, we had them come in here, the guy came in here with suit and tie and opens up his briefcase and I said this is going to cost a lot of money. The other man just came over, he said yes I can do the job for $2500, this is family business, and he was all ready. He was referred to us from somebody else that we know. This is the man to go to. This is the guy who will do the job. He came over, did the job, when there was a little bit of a sinkage, we called him back, he came right back and took care of that.

Mike was great. I have lived in my house for over a year and a half and it took me that long to find someone reliable and competent to install a drywell for my water softener. I contacted 4 other people prior to him who all failed to follow through. Having a new septic system, the DEM recommends discharging the brine from a water softener into a dry well rather than into your septic or onto the ground. After a year and a half I thought it would be impossible to find someone to install one for me until I called Mike. Mike was prompt, came out right away to give us the estimate and he returned our phone calls right away. His price was a little high, compared to previous estimates we had received, yet I was willing to pay a higher price given his experience, professionalism and also the fact that he was properly licensed and insured- amazingly hard to find! Mike and his crew of two others installed the drywell in a half of a day. Amazingly due to their careful planning, they did not damage a single lawn sprinkler in the process (we have eleven zones!) and they only had to repair one buried downspout- making it worth paying a higher price. Could not have gone smoother!

We did not end up using this company to do the job.

I got five estimates. Two were very high and the other 3 were in the same range. His price was slightly higher than the other 2 reasonable quotes but he seemed to be the best qualified. He had to reschedule once due to an emergency sewer project but the delay was only 2 days. They installed new piping underground from 4 downspout and a french drain to handle run off from the neighbor's driveway. They showed up on time and did an excellent job.

He gave me an accurate assessment. They did the job quickly and they fixed the problem. They were professional, polite and courteous. I feel like the price was comparable to competitors.
