I used Angie's list to find what I hoped would be a good general contractor and Ark Home Improvement was great from start to finish. Owner returned all calls and was timely with his estimate and repairs. Work was completed promptly and was given the seal of approval from my spouse (not easy to get). Recommend this company and plan to use again in the future.

We used a coupon for his services. We liked the fellow. We were very satisfied with him and he gave us a fair price; the service for dollar was very good. He returned and did another small job for us and I have him in my notebook so if I need him again, I can find him. The gutter hasn’t leaked since he fixed it so I’m satisfied.

* It went quicker than I expected, only two days for everything.* Work was better than I expected. Never thought the living room ceilings would look this good again.* Went above and beyond on the dormer. Had to do a lot of resealing. Everything looks great. Noah did a top-notch job on everything. I've got more projects for him and will be calling again soon.

Noah was great to work with. He promptly returned all phone calls, and came out to look at the job when he said he would, and arrived at our home to do the job as we agreed ! He was neat and cleaned up the job site after the work was done, I would hire Noah again, he was enthusiastic and eager to work!

Person was very prompt and professional in returning calls. He came out very quick to do the estimate. Did not chose this company as their quote was more than double the charge of the company I chose (which I was very happy with).

This is my first time in over 30 years of owning three different homes that I have hired a contractor to perform work in my home as I have always done it myself in the past. That said, Noah and his team did an EXCELLANT JOB! Noah was always available to discuss all aspects of the project as well as offer relevant suggestions and options during the early stages, all later validated by second professional sources. He knows his craft. He responded to all phone calls and emails within an hour and exceeded all expectations related to keeping the client informed. Although there was a negotiated and understood contract, when Ark Home Improvement started their work and saw some things needed extra effort or work not included in the estimate, this was done without question or additional cost and most importantly, without adding to the schedule. My barometer for thier quality is a close freind who is also a professional contarct painter who stated the work Ark Home Improvement did was among the best he has seen. Bottom line is they are professional, competitively priced, courteous, flexible, and honest. Definitely a good choice for any home improvement needs.I will definelty hire Noah and his team again for future projects of any kind.

I was told it would take 3 days and he would have 3-4 guys working for $700 a day. I didn't like the price per day idea but he assured me it would only take 3 days. I had to go and purchase all the material, although Noah did pick it up, he didn't check that he had the complete order so he had to return to pick up the interior doors. The end of the second day, I was told that I owed him over $1600 for the 2 days of work plus $100 for a special ordered piece of wood that was needed for the half round window. During these 2 days I had one carpenter and a worker, Noah showed up one day for an hour and the next for maybe 3 hours. When I asked about price he informed me that he needed to charge $800 a day not $700 because he didn't realize all the work that need to be done, regardless of us walking through the house prior to the start of the job. Noah then informed me that one worker would be back on Saturday and then they would be back the following Monday and Tuesday. This turned a 3 day job into at least 5 at his new price of $800 a day. So my original price of approximately $2100 was now $4000 plus well over $1600 in material. He also told me there was no way to install the crown molding in my bedroom because I have a large window that follows the shape of the cathedral ceiling and it would look horrible and that it would take too long to miter all the cuts. So he convinced me to go out and by 3 times as much molding so he could make a custom molding instead of crown molding. He held a couple of pieces in his hand to give me an idea of what it would look like. It didn’t seem to look that bad but I did tell him I’d prefer the Crown. So not only did I go out and pick this stuff up, I had to come back and stain it so they could install it. Noah actually installed half of this and he cracked the wood with the nail gun he used. I told him I didn’t like it. I heard him say to his help, don’t worry, it will grow on her. Noah also discussed the repair for the water leak outside. He said he will load up the window areas with caulk for free (after I bought the caulk), not that he would honor our previous agreement that he would own any leaks once her removed all the siding repaired the leak and re-installed all the siding. Then I would be charge an hourly or daily rate for him to repair what he was already paid to repair. I wrote the check and told Noah that I wanted to wait on finishing the job, I explained my concerns of his pricing, his response I can’t go any lower on the price, I have to make to money too. He had no explanation of there only being two workers except to say he came two days and that he had to go back to pick up the doors(that he didn’t look at the slip to see that he didn’t have them). By the next day before Noah came to pick up his tools, he offered to lower his price and rip out the molding that I already paid 3 times the price of the molding I wanted. It was too late, he broke my trust and it was till going to be another 3 days to finish the job. He never addressed the water leak except that he was coming over to caulk. He came in the rain this day and caulked the siding, leaving large drips of caulk down the front of my house that never stopped the leak. I have not even spoken to Noah regarding this job. I picked up the special order piece of wood only to find that it is a rubber piece of casing, nothing that can even be use to trim the half round window. Of course the box is marked “SPECIAL ORDER – NOT RETURNABLE”. He knew exactly what I wanted for this window, he assured me that it would be a piece of wood that is formed to go around the edging of the window, but took it upon himself to order a piece of useless rubber. Now I know beware of the guy who gives you a great first price that knows you may have more work. I ended up paying all over again to get the outside done right and now have to wait to save money to finish the inside molding.

Noah had done some interior paint and repair work for us last fall and we were very pleased with his work. His price was fair, communication was excellent and the work was well done. When we had several small jobs (door replacement, gutters, back deck replacement) that needed to be done this Spring and Summer Noah was one of the people we called for estimates. His prices were not the lowest, but were very close. More importantly, Noah took the time to talk to us about the details of each of the jobs including potential problems he might run into. His prices were 'worst case scenario' so we knew we wouldn't be hit with any big surprises when he started the work.We decided to hire him for our front door work first. Once we confirmed the job, he gave us a start date and offered to get materials or to tell us what to look for so we could pick out the doors ourselves. We chose to purchase the doors and he picked them up for us on the day of the job. I was able to call him on a Sunday while we were in Home Depot to ask a question and he immediately returned my call. I'm sure some of the other guys we called for prices wouldn't have been available for that.On the day of the job, he arrived on time and started working right away. He and his employee worked quickly to be sure we'd have our door in before any rain came. They got the main door up and ended up working through some heavy rain. They left for a short break and returned to complete the job. They ran into a few problems with the storm door, mostly due to the construction of the house. Noah listened to my husband's concerns and worked until the installation was acceptable to us. He was very careful to be sure he left us with a watertight entry way that will last a long time. He assured us that he could come back if there were any problems.

First of all I contacted the owner Noah a week before I needed the estimate. We are moving from out of state and my husband would only be in town one day. We scheduled the appointment and I let him know it would be the only chance we had to meet him and get the work scheduled. My husband drove down from Woonsocket to meet him at 4:30pm. I had a missed message that I listened to letting me know Noah would be a little late. When I talked to him he stated he would be there in 20 minutes and was in East Greenwich already. My husband waited, and waited and waited. He was in our home which had no furniture, no air conditioning and no electricity. He had nothing to do but wait. After he was a no show for over an hour I called him again. The phone went directly to voice mail and I left a message. After an hour and a half of waiting with nothing to do we gave up. He never called back, never explained how 20 minutes turned into an hour and a half wait with a no show at the end. All I know is that if I had an opportunity to get thousand of dollars worth of work I would at least have called the homeowner to try to reschedule. It was a complete disappointment and worse, a huge waste of time where my husband could have been on a flight home not having to manage his time to be there at night. But instead he had an additional night stay in a hotel and took a 6am flight home. very inconsiderate to say the least. If you value your time I would not waste my time with Noah and his Ark business.

Once finished, with my supervision, the job was well done. We came to a meeting of minds and an understanding therefore, I might work with Ark again for the same price.

I would definitely recommend him. He got me in touch with another guy who did the work for $600. He told me that he would be expensive for me and he referred me to someone else. I would use him in the future.

They showed up in the pouring rain and still cleaned the gutters very quickly.

I called Ark Home Improvement after finding it on Angie's List to schedule an estimate for roof and window replacement. He was not able to give me a definite time for May 10th which I felt was alright as I had other people coming to the house between 9am and 4 pm. He said he would call when he was on his way. At 4:30 i called to reschedule getting a time of 6pm the next day. Noah neither called nor showed up for this appointment. I will not use or recommend him to others based on my experience.

From start to finish, Noah was prompt and professional.

Gutters were cleaned as promised in the time frame quoted. They were very easy to deal with and prompt in returning my call. Based on the positive experience we had with Noah, we will be contacting him about renovation work in the summer.

We had a fine experience with them. They had to rebook another appointment due to weather, and did a little more than they had anticipated in terms of the size of our home, but no extra charges were made. They showed up on time and did a good job overall. I was pleased. We’ll use them again next year!

There are a few bedrooms upstairs that are still cold, but overall, they did a good job.

Noah Cook answered calls very quickly, was professional, and came for an estimate within a week's time that was good for us both--which is great considering my difficult schedule. Their painting was impeccable, seriously some of the best work I've seen in a while. The job took roughly 2 days and I was very impressed. He is out to make a name for himself, so take advantage!

Done was done in promised time. Few times that company couldn't come, they called and informed me; making up time by working from sunrise to sundown on the following days.

There were two guys that came and they did everything within one day. They did a good job and everything went smoothly. They were efficient and they cleaned up after themselves. His price was a little higher than others but the thing was as long as I got a good job done I was willing to pay the higher price. I would use them again in the future if I needed to.

It turned out well. They did a great job.

Noah was incredibly nice and had actually called me to see if he could stop by because he was in my area. I didnt even have a chance to cal him to schedule an appointment (he saw that I had purchsed a coupon through Angie's List), that is the first from any contrator! He was very knowledgable about the issues we were having with our gutters and had cleanedthem at a very reasonable price I will be calling him again for some upsoming painting ang contractor work needed.

Purchased the discounted service through Angie's List. Due to the high volume of purchases it took extra time to get the service performed. As we expected there was additional charge for cleaning due to gutter protectors.

Did a fantastic job. Gutters were cleaned and they picked up all debris. Would use again!

We hired Ark through an Angie's Deal. They were great. In spite of getting a lot of takers on the deal, they were very accommodating with the scheduling and got to our house quickly. They did a nice, neat job. Cleaned up all the gunk that came out of the gutters leaving no mess behind. They didn't even charge us the surcharge for larger houses. I would definitely consider them for other jobs in the future.
