Description of Work: The team of guys that moved me were excellent!! They were fast, friendly, efficient, careful, and just a really great group of people to work with when you're moving your most prized possessions. They help set up my bed and dining room table. I would highly recommend them to anyone and plan to use them for my next move! I can't say enough about how great this company is. Oh, and you can't find a better price. I shopped around before deciding on Astro. They spent approximately 3-4 hours with me and drove from Pawtucket, RI to Fitchburg, Ma. I moved from a second floor (with a brutal spiral staircase) to a third floor apartment on one of the hottest days of the year. Truly amazing group of guys-smiles on their faces the entire time!

Description of Work: The service was fantastic, from my initial communication with them until the last piece was delivered. The driver provided exceptional service and communication. There was one piece that was damaged beyond repair, but I did have the insurance so it should be covered. I would definitely recommend them and use them in the future.

Description of Work: While very polite, this provider explained to me that I would have to pay the cost of their trip from Rhode Island to my place in Connecticut and back. So I don't understand why they are even listed for Connecticut moves, when there are movers closer at hand. They also said their would be a 8000 pound minimum, which is way more than I have

Description of Work: Without a doubt, the very best experience in moving. From the estimate to the completed move from RI to Florida. It was a pleasant experience. All who helped us were very friendly and efficient. I would HIGHLY recommend this company. They came and did an estimate and charged no more than was estimated. They arrived on time both at the beginning and end of the job.We had packed our own boxes, but all the larger things were cared for very well. Nothing was broken ands the job was performed as promised, even to supplying boxes that we needed. Well done Astro.Can't tell how you impressed us. May you do well in the future.

 + -1 moreFirst, Curt came out to give us an in-person estimate for packing, and moving. I'd hoped to do some of the packing myself, but wasn't able to. Our crew was Jeremy (lead), Zachary, and Larry. They called the day before to tell us when they'd arrive. They got about 80% of our stuff packed in 4h the first morning, and finished it the next day. Then they loaded the truck, and unloaded it at the new place. they were professional, and courteous, and fast. They got the job done even faster than the estimate. I haven't finished unpacking yet, but so far everything is in perfect condition- nothing broken etc. In summary- these guys were great. Professional packing is expensive, but (to me) it's totally worth it. But if you want to pack yourself- they have (FREE) boxes at their warehouse that you can use. AND, they offered to come pick our boxes up and take them for us after we're unpacked. They did a great job, and were totally professional, and the estimate was right on. I would totally use them again.
Description of Work: Astro did a full pack and move from our 2BR condo into a 3BR, 3-story house, over the course of 2 days.

 + -1 moreI priced out a few companies for a move from New Haven to Providence, and Astro was a good choice. After my initial inquiry, a sales manager from Astro came to the house to give an estimate. He was friendly and professional and explained all the details of the moving process. Astro's estimate was $600 lower than a comparable company, so we chose them. The day before the move, a representative called to give us the expected arrival time. A moving team of three people showed up 15 minutes early and made quick work of getting everything into the van. We have a large sleeper sofa that has frustrated some of our past movers, but Astro had no problem maneuvering it through some narrow doorways. They unloaded in Providence just as quickly, and nothing was damaged. The move actually took less time than we'd expected, and we had a very good experience overall.
Description of Work: Move from New Haven, CT, to Providence, RI -- furniture from 2 bedrooms, living room, dining room and kitchen (no major appliances).

 + -1 moreThe gentleman in whom I had made the arrangements with, was very personable. I was not as impressed with their workers. The driver was a little late in arriving with the three helpers. We were paying them by the hour and they were pretty slow, as though they hadn't worked together before. Everything got to the house in good shape, however, I do not think I would recommend these movers.
Description of Work: They moved all our belongings locally, no more than 10 or 15 miles, from a storage unit and an apartment, to our newly purchased home. There were 11 tons of furnishings including things for 3 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, clothing and our garage.
