Description of Work: i have used Sine Plumbing for 24 years and they have been consistently kind, prompt, knowledgeable. We love Sine.

Description of Work: We had a leaky radiator on the 2nd floor that dripped through and damaged the ceiling on the first floor. The repair was something I couldn't do myself, so Sine Plumbing, who was referred to me, came in and did it. It took some work, including sawing off a section of old radiator pipe, and installing a new piece of pipe with an on-off value. Sine also replaced a leaky steam escape value on another radiator. The total job, from start to finish, took an hour and I noticed later on the invoice that we were charged for 1 1/2 hrs labor + parts (I didn't catch this until after he had gone. I was surprised at the prices on the parts that were installed and when I researched them I learned they had been marked up 100%. This may be standard in the plumbing industry, but I was surprised by it, especially given the way we were charged for labor. This whole part of the job left a bad taste in my mouth, hence my low score on the Price rating.) The plumber did have to work pretty hard at sawing through the old cast iron pipe, and the job itself seemed thoroughly completed and well done. The plumber was professional in his demeanor, explained what he was doing and why, and cleaned up afterward. Overall, outside of the pricing issue, I think Sine did a good job. I said Yes on the Would You Hire Again question, but I'm not sure. I'd most likely shop around for a few quotes before rehiring this plumber and go from there.

Description of Work: We and our Rumford RI neighbors have always used Sine Plumbing for all our needs since we moved there over 47 years ago.Their honesty and integrety is well known around here and they always have responded the same day to our problems. In the last 6 years, however, we used another plumber when we had kitchen and bathroom renovations because he came with the contractor. Boy are we sorry. Now we have a leak in the main line from the 2nd floor, a repair that was to have been made when they gutted the kitchen. We called Jeff Sine who came the same day, diagnosed the problem, referred us also to a contractor (that he uses for his own house) and we will happily and confidently use him and that contractor as soon as we return from Florida. The estimates were reasonable enough. and only one wall will have to be removed.

Description of Work: Sine Plumbing has done a lot of work for us over the years. Most recently Jeff Sine replaced an old toilet (original to house, so from 1920's), repaired a ruptured pipe to an outside faucet, and replaced old hoses to washer. I don't remember what we spent.

Description of Work: I had Jeff Sine remove an old dishwasher (legs had to be sawed off because of raised floor), install a new dishwasher, install an ice maker for a new refrigerator, including the copper tubing from kitchen to cellar and new shut off valve.

Description of Work: Emergency cut-off valve on our gas boiler was not working. (Radiator/steam heat system.) Plumber (Jeff Sine)opened up relevant parts, drained the area, cleaned out all the gunk that was causing the problem, replaced the blow down valve, tested for how well the cut-off (float) valve was working several times to make sure it was working the way it should be, and cleaned up afterward. Entire job start to finish took 1 hour.

Description of Work: After having used 2 or 3 OK plumbers for small jobs for several years we got referred to Sine plumbing at a time (about 20 or so years ago) when we needed a very major job done. Their work was really first-rate, and we have used them ever since. They have been equally good when called for small jobs.
