J Lemire Plastering

Jim and his crew did an entire house for us, blueboard and plaster. The walls were smooth as a mirror, all you had to do was wait for the plaster to dry and paint. The swirl ceilings were great looking and saved us from having to paint the ceilings. The finish look was amazing. We are using Jim again in a couple of weeks.

We first met Jim and his crew as a sub-contractor for the company that built an addition onto our house. He did all the plastering for that project. At that time, I asked him if we could refinish the dining room walls (one wall had been redone as a result of the addition, but the other three really needed work as they had been papered. When we removed the paper, it was apparent that the plaster underneath was not stable... and some f the plaster actually came off in the process of removing the wallpaper.) He and one of his crew came in and did the whole room in a day... clean and tidy, beautiful finish, in time for us to use the room for Thanksgiving. When we wanted to redecorate the two upstairs bedrooms in the oldest part of the house, we called Jim. One bedroom's walls were painted but whoever painted the walls didn't do such a good job sanding; the walls had been papered and the surfaces were a bit textured as a result. The second room had been papered covering over holes, cracks, etc. We wanted smooth clean walls for a nice finish. Jim came over, looked at what needed to be done, explained what he would need to do and gave me a cost and a time when he could fit it in. He does a lot of sub-contracting... this job would take two days and he would try to do it in the gap between two other projects. Jim and his helper, did an awesome job. They are pleasant, tidy, professional and do superb work. Jim is a master plasterer and takes pride in his work. I don't have too many more rooms that will need replastering or touching up... but if I do, Jim is the guy I will call. And I will wait until he has time in his calendar to do the work. Because he's worth it.
