+ -1 moreAs I said, the project was completed quickly and professionally, with minimal disruption. My mother adjusted to her new surroundings very quickly, and the setup received glowing reviews for safety and maneuverability from her in-home caregivers. My dad, who initially resisted the project, now brags about his great bathroom setup to anyone who will listen. We are extremely happy with the work done by Preferred Remodeling and Design, and would use them again.
Description of Work: We needed to have my elderly parents' bathroom remodeled for safety and improved access. My mother had Alzheimer's Disease and needed help bathing, and my father has difficulty walking and could no longer maneuver the stairway to the basement laundry room. Preferred Remodeling and Design replaced their bathtub with a shower unit including grab bars and a built-in seat, which was much easier for both my parents to access. They used the extra space freed up in the bathroom to install an alcove for a stacked washer/dryer unit. My mother was extremely susceptible to disruption at that time, and I am happy to report that she was barely aware of any work being done. My parents were only without the use of their shower for less than 2 days, and the job was completed in only a few days.

+ -1 moreLarry Schneider started the job and never finished, He replaced one window, then he had to leave, when he returned a few days later, he wanted to do the plastering, so he started that, again he had to leave, this went on for over a month then he just stopped coming. I paid him $30,000 in advance and this job is only about half done. I have not seen him since last fall.
Description of Work: I contracted Preferred Remodeling to plaster one 14 foot X 7 foot wall, replace 8, 28 X 62 double hung windows and pour a three by twenty foot square of concrete next to my back porch.
