We highly recommend Sam. He was a very meticulous and tidy painter. He was helpful and informative and took the initiative to contact several paint companies to answer a particular concern we had with our existing paint surface. Despite weather complications this spring, he was able to complete the job within the time frame agreed on.

Sam power washed, sanded and stained our deck. The price was very reasonable and he was very professional. Sam recommended where we should purchase the stain as well. The deck came out great and we will definitely use him again for our future painting needs!

Due to the age of our house, he advised me to perform an easy (bought at home depot) lead test. Unfortunately, our home tested positive and we will likely vinyl side the house. However, if I ever need painting done on the interior of our house, Sam will be the first painter I call. He's very knowledgable, approachable, and went above and beyond to answer all of my questions. Thanks Sam!

Very good. Obviously a professional. Responded with what I asked for. Could not guarantee completing work before winter and bad /cold weather sets in.

The job was done efficiently in a few days. Sam picked up paint at the only paint store locally that carries the color that carries my color and utilized his paintors discount. Sam provided recommendations for my garage door also, which was not to paint them as the paint would chip very easily. If he was a different type of person, he may have just gone along with my idea to paint them and pocketed the cash. Sam answers his phone or if painting follows up and returns calls as soon as possible. Sam is a pleasant man to do business with and I would recommend him to others.

Sam gave us an estimate of the work. He did exactly what he said he would do, when he said he would do it and at the price he quoted. He kept us informed of his progress. He was pleasant and professional. He did an excellent job.

Sam is fantastic!! We recently bought a house that had dark green trim and had not been painted in a decade. We contacted several Angie's List recommended contractors for quotes. When Sam showed up, we hired him on the spot. Messina Painting is not some minimum wage painting crew that sprays the house and disappears. Sam works mostly alone. When he needs help, it was his son that helped him. When we hired him, we really felt that the job would get personal attention....and it absolutely did. What really impressed me was that Sam was obsessed with using the painting method that would give the best final result for each part of the house. He was not worried about what was "the fastest." Since we were changing dark green colored trim to a cream color, Sam brush painted the trim with primer then brush painted it a second and even third time, where needed. Since the siding was vertical board, Sam rolled where needed and finished with a brush. Under a raised deck, Sam hand painted with stain block then sprayed to give it an even finish. I really felt like Sam would have painted his own house the exact same way he painted mine. That was the sort of professional attention to detail that he showed. Based upon our experience, this vendor is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

.Sam came highly recommended by Angie's list and quickly demonstrated why he got those recommendations. He was the first to respond to my calls and provided a quick, no-nonsense estimate. It was also the lowest estimate (of 6) and while I am usually chary of taking the low bid on principle, Sam's professional demeanor and relaxed, competent manner convinced me he was the guy. And he was: he said he'd start the job on July 13, and he did. He said he'd finish by the time we had a houseful of company arriving, and he did. He worked quickly, quietly and thoroughly, and he painting was excellent. He even agreed to split the difference on materials when we got a discount coupon from the paint store that was better than his. Overall the experience was excellent. I would recommend Sam very highly.

We were very pleased for a number of reasons. We really apprciated the fact that Sam showed up on time, every time. He is the nicest guy. Also, he made recommendations to us that were instrumental in the way the house came out. Our house is a two story contemporary with a lot of challenging roof lines. It has cedar clapboard that had become weathered in a number of areas. It also had mold growing on the boards that gave it an almost black appearance. After power washing and removing a lot of the mold he made the suggestion to us to use a particular stain that would blend in with the rest of the house. We were very pleased with the outcome and his selection of the color. We really didn't know what would work but Sam has knowledge and experience in what he does and for us it paid off. We trusted him and he did a great job. We would not hesitate to call upon him again and refer him to other people.

I did not use Messina Painting but will call him in the future.

It went well Sam was very patient and had to come back since the doors and window was delayed more than a month. He did a phenomenal job!

Previous to Sam Messina giving me an estimate and subsequently completing the job, I had another paint company, that was recommended on Angie's List give me an estimate on the house that was $1000.00 above Sam Messina's estimate. I'm glad I searched further.Sam was prompt, always called back or initiated calls and questions, polite, professional and he did the job a month ahead of schedule! The job came out beautifully.I would use him again without reservation.

They were prompt. Their job was immaculate. It still looks beautiful. I think they got it done in less than a week. They were outstanding. Their price was very reasonable. We have nothing but good things to say about them. They were excellent. We would use them again in a heartbeat.

Sam was punctual with the entire process from his initial quote to completing the job. After agreeing on the price and timing I got in touch with Sam and asked if there was any way we might move the job up a week as my wife had scheduled an outdoor party. It took him and his son about 2 weeks to paint the outside of my house. He said he has been doing this for over 30 years and he also says that he does interior painting.
