They have two emergency numbers, including a pager, on their answering machine, and on a night that got down to 8 degrees, they did not call!! We are elderly with health problems. This is shameful. Our house temperature got down to the thirties.

Our heating went out, and we called Del Tufo. They had not put in our heating system - we had it installed about three years ago, but the plumber that installed the unit was non-responsive. In the one call they actually answered they mentioned that they had not put in the system. We weren't looking for charitable work - but to pay someone to fix the problem. Made several subsequent calls, but they never responded. We did locate another plumber, who was able to easily fix the problem by replacing one part. That plumber, by the way, was not the one that put in the boiler initially. Second issue involves a sump pump installed by DelTufo within the last two or three years. It is extremely noisy. We've put in several calls, leaving messages and have not even received he courtesy of a return call. Also, when they installed the sump pump we asked about a battery backup, looking for their input. They promised to get back to us within a couple of weeks. It's now two or three years later, and we've yet to hear from them.

I find, that all necessary work was performed efficiently and on time. I would not hesitate to hire him again any time,

Negative 5 Stars if possible. My wife and I had a very unpleasant experience with Deltufo. They initially rescheduled us a couple of times so that was an inconvenience since we both work and needed to shuffle our schedules. They eventually removed a waste line out of our basement and didn't put a drop cloth down or any other protection on our 1 Day old, brand new carpet. This resulted in feces and rust stains on a carpet directly below the waste line and all along the carpeted stairs. We saw Mike scrubbing the carpet with soap with water and when I asked him what happened, he said "It was dirt from the leaves outside." This clearly was not the case so he was dishonest and not straight forward. A day or 2 later, we got a call from the mother and owner of the company, looking for a lost power tool (Mike was in an obvious hurry and surely misplaced it) and said, "you're carpenter must have stolen the grinder because he was also there working on the house." I ignored this wild accusation and I'm positive Mike has since found his power tool. Shortly after this phone call, my carpenter who was at the house, said that Mike didn't ring the doorbell (or call me for that matter), and barged into my home in a panic looking for his grinder. This was unacceptable and extremely inappropriate behavior. We replaced the carpet and deducted the total from the bill that was sent. We wanted nothing to do with Deltufo coming back to our home after all of this. I tried calling multiple times to explain that we replaced the carpet based on the fact that we weren't too happy about feces being spilled all over our BRAND NEW carpet, being accused of stealing, and having our home barged into. We couldn't trust that Deltufo wouldn't just inflate the bill to absorb the cost of replacing the carpet and the grinder that they now think we stole. I tried to talk to them in person when they had the nerve to send us a bill (after they cashed my check for the balance) for the full amount of the work completed. Claire tried to ignore me and said she wasn't involved in this and no one was there to speak with me. She said their lawyer was handling it. Needless to say, our subsequent interactions with the Deltufo's (Mother and Daughter) have been nothing but unpleasant and extremely unprofessional. Mike hasn't once returned my calls to speak with me directly (and he is supposed to take over the business soon). I can't say enough about how awful this whole experience has been. We just moved in to our new home and having to deal with this has been extremely stressful. Even though the mother and daughter have treated us extremely poorly, I feel they are put in the awful position of feeling like they have to defend their son and brother who has dug himself a hole in lie he feels he can't get out of. If Mike had nothing to hide and wasn't responsible for this (which is impossible) he would call me back and have a conversation with me. Everyone makes mistakes and all Mike had to do is take accountability for it from the beginning and we could've worked something out (although I would've still demanded they replace the carpet). He chose otherwise and continues to deny it. The pictures of the stains that show a trail of feces from the waste line to the top of the stairs and the fact that my wife and I both saw him trying to clean the carpet, prove otherwise. It is concerning that he was caught red handed but still feels like he has to deny it. It's clear he has some learning to do if he's going to run the family business. His sister, who is admirably and viciously defending her brother despite all evidence against him, has a lot to learn about separating family emotions and business if they want to continue to have a successful business. Please think twice about hiring the Detufo's so you don't have to experience what we have gone through.

Initial interaction was satisfactory and the heating problem was fixed by installing a new thermostat. The problem came when I received an invoice that was much higher than the price quoted. When I simply questioned them about the reason for the higher amount, I was told they charged and quot;a travel feeand quot; because the plumber had to drive from East Greenwich to Providence. They had never said anything about any travel fees prior to performing the service. When I said I didn't think that was fair or reasonable, they got extremely belligerent and used swear words. They threatened to take legal action and even to put a lien on the property if the bill wasn't paid in full. They were very nasty and extremely unprofessional. I say and quot;theyand quot; because it is a husband and wife team - the husband is the plumber and the wife answers the phone and does the billing. Both were unbelievably rude and unprofessional. The situation got resolved when I called the realtor who had referred them to me and told him the situation. He was very disappointed and embarrassed and talked to them. I don't know what he said, but they backed down and I paid the originally agreed upon price. THEY USE BULLY TACTICS TO TRY TO GET MORE MONEY OUT OF PEOPLE.

Overall, it went better than expected.

They have done some toilet repair and sink. Our overall experience is good and we will use them again in the future.

The dehumidifier had broken and they came out and replaced it. They were very good and responsive.

It went well

We have a well water holding tank and the electrical component at that time blew out and it started to leak around it. I called them at night, and they sent someone out to check on it. They said they’d come back in the morning, and they did. They were pleasant. They took care of everything, and it was done very quickly. Their service was good and prompt. We have used them in the past, so we knew them pretty well. Their price was kind of high for what they did, but our experience with them was good.

The serviceman came soon after I made the call and at the correct time. He got right to work as we already knew where the problem was. He seemed like a pleasant enough guy and did his work quickly and well. We have had no more problems with slow draining. I recommend their service.

THEY ARRIVED JUST WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THEY ARE VERY REASONABLE AND HAVE A VERY REASONABLE PRICE. THEY CLEAN UP AFTER THEMSELVES. I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH THEIR WORK.
