He was quick to respond to our call. He called us few times and even came to see the location twice before giving us a quote. He was very pleasant to talk to and helpful. We went with somebody else for the price, but we understand that the reason for his price could be because of the nature/size of the job we had. We are thinking about trying him again for the future landscaping project because he was easy to communicate with and we learned that it is a rare quality.

Excellent, David responded to my first call and made an appt. for a free assessment/estimate with a plan to help us with squirrels causing such a big problem on our new roof and flashing around the chimney. He identified the problem branches. He set up a morning appt. several days later and arrived right on time with his professional crew. Work done exactly as planned and crew also cleaned the yard of all debris. Worker brought me around the yard to explain his work and off they went.

I am very pleased with the work David Schwartz completed at my house. I could tell during the quote and inspection of my property that David is an expert in his field. He only recommended what needed to be done - no more, no less. He also is an artist in the sense that he understands the aesthetics of each individual property and the neighborhood as a whole. In other words, consult him for any tree work but also for what trees or bushes you may want to plant. I should also mention that his crew are professional, clean up well after and during the job, and are in general very pleasant. I've already recommended Schwartz Tree and Landscape to my step father and brother. It's a great feeling to find a contractor with integrity and expertise!!!

I was given an approximate date, then a call about half a week in advance to ask if I was available for a specific date, first thing in the morning. They arrived promptly and cleaned up extremely efficiently. No complaints!

David and his crew of three arrived right on time. Though I discussed what was generally going to be done to the trees, I was able to go into more pruning detail of each tree with the foreman prior to beginning work. The crew worked efficiently and thoroughly cleaned up the site before leaving eight hours after they had arrived. They were all knowledgeable, personable, and polite. In fact there’s absolutely nothing I can complain about the entire experience.

The crew of three arrived on time and had the job done in under five hours. The cleanup was excellent.

Dave was great; he was here within one day of our emails and gave me a reasonable quote. A couple of weeks later (due to snow storms) I arrived home and noticed the plum tree was gone. They cleaned up all of the debris and the yard looks great. Thanks to Dave and company...

They came on a very cold day in January, examined the work to be done. Unfortunately, a tree we loved in the back was found to be too heavily affected by root rot to save, so it had to be removed. All the work was done with great care and professionalism, that same day even though the tree removal was not planned. They know their business. We will definitely use them again.

David Schwartz came to give an estimate, originally just for removing the limbs from neighbor's large trees that were overhanging my property. He seemed very knowledgeable and experienced, and quickly diagnosed various other problems in my garden, such as a viburnum beetle infestation, cedar apple rust, and other smaller trees in sore need of pruning. He offered some advice and quoted a fair price for each component of the work; I decided there and then to hire his company. His office called me well in advance to set dates for the zylam ground injection (to control beetle infestation) and the tree work. On the day the tree service was scheduled, the crew arrived at 8 in the morning and worked diligently for 4 hours, pruning 5 of the trees in my yard as well as removing the overhanging branches of 5 of my neighbor's trees. They did a superb, beautiful job, managing to make all the trees looked balanced and shapely even after big branches had been taken off. They also carefully cleaned up all the debris. The bill was exactly the same as the estimate, which, while not cheap, was quite reasonable considering the amount and quality of work done. I would definitely use Schwartz's company again, and highly recommend them to anyone seeking true professionals in tree care.

I first met Dave 10 years ago when I was completing a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture. He gave a lecture to our class on tree care and pruning. When it came time for me to hire an arborist for my own property, I hired him a year later to take down 2 trees that were encroaching on power lines and buckling the driveway. This time around he was the only arborist I called because I know his knowledge is extensive and he would take great care with my trees and give me a fair price. He arranged permission with the city for me to remove the badly damaged street tree (Bradford Pear) and had his team prune several rare trees (Franklinia, Acer Griseum, Metasequoia glyptostroboides, [Weeping Dawn Redwood] and a Clerodendrum trichotomum) in my backyard. His love of trees is evident in his enthusiasm. I will never call anyone else to take care of my property.

We found David on Angie's list and were pleased he was local. We initially called him about taking down two diseased trees and one that was crowding out an old oak. He came out the day after we called him and gave us a good price. Because I found him very knowledgeable, I asked him about pruning some other trees in the yard. I appreciated that he really cared about trees and landscaping - he definitely wasn't just about cutting things down. David was conscientious about contacting the city to make sure we had permission to cut down the two diseased trees. (The trees had been planted years ago by the city and had sustained significant damage from being planted too close to the road.) He knew just who to talk to and got it done quickly and efficiently. On the day the first phase of the work was completed David came out to the site to show his employees what was needed. The guys who worked for him were polite, kind and hardworking.They cleaned up well after themselves. I was impressed that one of them remarked on the old oak tree in the back, I overheard them guessing it's age. After the trees in front were cut down I was shocked by the difference in the yard. I called David immediately and asked him to help me figure out what to plant to compensate for the loss. Since it was early spring, David promised to keep an eye out for some good plantings and get back to me with his ideas. Based on my conversations with him I trusted he would have a good plan- and he did. On the day of the planting David again came out to the site at the start of the job. His employees again were terrific, even asking me about moving a rose bush given to me by my father-in-law rather than just pulling it up and hauling it away. One of the guys put it in a pot for me, thorns and all. They also came back a second day, with new soil, after deciding that the soil in our front yard was too sandy to adequately support the bushes they planted. (I was never charged for the soil or the return trip!) We are 100% pleased with the work done. We feel privileged to have had the opportunity to experience David's wisdom and expertise. He is clearly as thoughtful and quality oriented about the people he picks to work on his team as he is about plants and landscaping. It was a great experience working with David and his team. I highly reccommend them. There is no question we would use them again.

They were a no-show for a schedule appointment. Schedule an appointment to have an contractor to come out and give me an estimate. They e-mail and call to confirm the appointment the day before. So I took time out of work to meet with them but they were a no-show. So i reached out to them by phone and e-mail and till this day no reply from them.

Mr. Schwartz seemed extremely knowledgeable, and was incredibly friendly. He was able to show me why the fallen tree came down, and which other trees on my property could cause future problems. His quote was right in line with the others that I received.

Super. Dave is extremely professional and knowledgeable. He is up front and honest about work that needs to be done, but he understands budgets. He asked my opinion about clearing out further trees and a vine once one tree was removed. It made the world of difference with the curbside appeal of our house, which was about to go on the market. The people who work for him are also professional and very knowledgeable. A positive experience!

We found them through the Angie's List. They are superb. We are very pleased of it. He did a really great job in a problematic area. He is very good in understanding the tree. He is very thoughtful and approachable. He really loves the trees and he is good at what he does. He did such a fine job. He helped us coordinate backhoe service that we needed to complete the project and I would have not known where in the world to find for that.

It went very well. David came out and we discussed the large tree removal and the tree in front of the house. They removed the large tree. The guys really know what they are doing . They did a beautiful job and cleaned up everything. They arrived on time. David came with the guys, made sure everything was understood for the job, and they did a fantastic job. Arrived at 8 am and done before noon. They were very nice and took pride in their work. Also trimmed the branches over the electrical line. We will use David again. Very reasonable price for the amount of work done. Thank you to David and his team.

He does like the customer to take his advice (because he knows trees and shrubbery) BUT was willing to do what I wanted. I will be phoning him again this year for more work.

When David Schwartz came to my home to access the cleaning up of the leaves and trimming my maple tree, he was very pleasant and an easy person to talk with, he did not make me feel uncomfortable. David gave me the cost to clean up my yard and trim the maple tree and I found the cost to be very reasonable. David and his team came 12 days later and they did a tremendous job. My property looked so clean. Also, at the same time when David was at my home I asked him questions regarding my landscaping plants. David was very knowledgeable regarding my plant and he advised me that they will need to be trimmed in the in spring and that some of the plants may need to be moved because they are crowding my other plants. So, David advised me to call him in March or April to access my plants. I will contact David in the sprint to talk over the trimming and moving of some of my plants. I am grateful for Angie's list for recommending Schwartz Tree and Landscaping.

Very professional, and knowledgeable. He listened to what I was looking for, then offered some professional suggestions based on my yard and what he saw. We did not end up using him. He was the first of 3 estimates and he was the highest.
