I spoke to Jim Malone on the phone and within a few days he sent a crew to my house to perform work. He said the price was $56 to come out and $36 for each additional 15 minutes. They arrived just before 9am and completed the work by 10:30am. They used the next 10 minutes to write out bill and I gave them a check and they were gone by 10:45am. Both men were professional and nice, I thought I might have been juiced a little by the labor but overall I was satisfied.

They were not cheap but they did a really good job. I would use them again in the future.

Called several other places and left messages. These guys actually answered the phone! Told them what I needed. Over the phone, they told me: 1) exactly how much it would cost 2) exactly when they would arrive (within the hour, even though it was not an emergency) 3) exactly how long it would take Then (the best part) they did exactly what they said they would do.Prompt, professional, courteous. The BEST!

Malone Plumbing came out the week I called and was able to diagnose and fix the leak in my drain piping. Good responsiveness and very professional. I would use them again.

Tom Malone responded quickly to my request for an estimate. He came to my house within the week to have a look at the projects so he could give me an accurate quote. Tom really spent time investigating what needed to be done and explaining that to me. He even took the time to talk to me about future projects, even though he knew that we wouldn't be doing those in the short term. I received the estimate within a few days and it was comparable to others I had received. We were able to schedule the work for the next week. The 2 employees that came to do the job were on-time, friendly, and efficient. They got the work done quicker than anticipated and the cost came in under the estimate. They cleaned up after they were done and made sure that everything was working well before they left. Everything they worked on is now working perfectly and looks great.

They are wonderful. They are honest and they are reliable. They know what they are doing. I feel extremely comfortable with anything they tell me. They are probably more expensive than other plumbers but I don’t mind paying it because they do differently from what other plumbers do and their quality differs it.

He is fine. I have been using him for several years and I have been very satisfied. His service is excellent, but his price is high compared to what I would like to pay. I have not done a lot of surveys to check if his prices are really competitive. I seem to be paying a little premium for his service, but his service is excellent. He has a good team that comes over and does the job. He has started charging a ‘show-up’ fee. He charged me $56 just to show up. I had had the work done and I did not want to pay $56 on top of the cost of the job. If he had buried it in the price, I would not have known the difference. I think he started that when the price of gasoline skyrocketed. He has a good crew. I have talked to him about the crew. He gives them benefits and so, they stay on. They have a good relationship with him. His employees are very good when they come out. I would rate him highly. The last time they came out, I paid $700. They worked all afternoon. I have three bathrooms. So, they took a while to get to the problem. The work with the gas boiler was fine. I do not call a plumber, I just call them. They come out and get the job done without any complications. I have recommended them to others and I would use them again in the future.

He was wonderful. This house is 40 years old so he did a bath and a little work on the furnace too. He was very prompt and he came quickly. He gave me a fair estimate and I really enjoyed his services. If there was anything else I would call him back.

Two young men came on time and did everything I had asked them to do but I felt that non of the work was particularly difficult, so paying almost $600 for labor was a little excessive.

The 2-man team arrived on-time and were very courteous . The work was complete in under 1 hour. No surprises with the charges.

Plumber answered my call at 9:30 at night when I discovered that my basement had flooded. He was very nice and said that it was likely the water heater and they could replace it. I inquired about a tankless water heater and he informed me that it would run anywhere from $3400 to $4000 but they wouldn't be able to install it until after the Labor Day weekend. I asked how much a replacement standard water heater would be and he told me it would be $1095. including labor and they could install it the next day. I told him that I would need to discuss it with my husband and the plumber stated that he would call me back the next morning. After much thought, we decided that we couldn't go the whole weekend without hot water and we weren't sure we would earn our money back with the tankless so we asked them to install the standard 40 gallon water heater. They were very professional, arrived on time, and got the work done without any problems. Because of the time crunch, I didn't feel like I had the opportunity to shop around. I am not sure if Malone's charge is in the ballpark for these sorts of things but I feel that the price I was charged was exorbitant . The water heater I received costs $325 on various websites. That makes the charge for the 2 hour installation and removal $770!!! Because of that, I'm not likely to call them again.

They were very good about cleaning after themselves. They arrived exactly when they said they would. I trusted them even when I had to run some errands.

I had a bathroom that seemed to fall apart all at once, so I went to Angie's List to find a local plumber. I called up Malone Plumbing on a Friday afternoon and spoke to a friendly operator. I let her know there was no emergency and they could call me back next week, as I would be gone all weekend anyway. Tom promptly called me when she said he would and I explained the issues we were having. He let me know they could be out soon and thoroughly detailed their pricing, which I found to be very fair and reasonable. The technician, John, came out on time and was friendly and very professional. I've been looking for a good plumber for a while now and it looks like I finally found one!

They snaked a kitchen drain and a repair to the faucet and that worked out well. They did very good work, and I would use them again.

they were prompt, professional. explained things as they went. they were a little expensive (but, well, everyone is) but did good work, fast, cleaned up after themselves.

We were experiencing intermittent extremely low water pressure (i.e., trickle or nothing coming out of faucet) when more than one water source was being used (i.e., shower + toilet flush, etc.). Malone came out within hours of our call. The closed globe valve was the main problem so it was an easy fix. One of the techs used the bathroom & noticed that the bathroom faucet was missing a screen, so he replaced it for us. Our worst fear was that we would need to replace the well pump for $$$$$ to solve the pressure problem, so we were very happy with the outcome. The dispatch fee has increased to $65, but I feel like if you can get anything done properly in your home for under $200 it's a deal. The two techs were professional and very nice guys to work with...and they were right; my husband DOES look like Lute Olson!

Everything went very well! The things they've repaired for me are still repaired--no "new" issues discovered. They were very direct and professional and I would use them again for any plumbing services I need.

About a month ago we started having problems with our thermostat sending a signal but the boiler not kicking on. So after some time of us having to flip the heat switch we decided to call GEM plumbing before Malone Plumbing. To make a long story short about GEM, who we will never call back, they yanked on some stuff, huffed and puffed, flipped a few switches, lit the burner with their "little magic stick", stuck the CO detector in the flu and proceeded to tell us the boiler wasn't safe. He gave us some lame brain excuse that the reading in the flu was off the charts, and told us how it was reading 4000 ppm and that 600 ppm will kill you in under a minute. Now we have four CO detectors in the house one of which is brand new and none of them are going off. then he turned the boiler off and wanted to leave us with no heat over night. That wasn't going to happen. So we let the sales man come because our boiler is 48yrs old and will need to be replaced EVENTUALLY. The sales man proceeded to tell us that they wanted 8500 for a new high efficiency boiler that we may or may not get a tax and gas company credit for or we could go with lower efficiency for 7000. Well that is when the red flags really started to go off because you can buy a boiler for 2000 and install it for about 1000 in labor. That was when we called Malone Plumbing and heating. My plumbing saviors. They answered the phone right away and was able to send the plumber out right away. They explained their rates, it was 56 for them to dispatch the truck, which was cheaper than GEMS 99. Then it was roughly 32 dollars every 15 minutes plus the cost of parts. In my opinion he was worth every penny. So he started doing his thing and it turns out we don't need a new boiler, at least not as of yet. He was able to repair damage caused by another persons banging and yanking. He needed to replace a valve nut that connected the pilot compression tube. He checked my CO levels and found nothing. Imagine that nothing outside of the flu. He told me he didnt understand why the other guy would stick the tester in the flu because that is where the CO levels will be highest. He actually showed me how sensitive the device was and that just confirmed my suspicions about the other company. He cleaned the top of the boiler. Checked the aquastat and that was fine. He tested everything he could test, and found nothing out of the ordinary. He literally checked everything and even commented that for the age of the boiler it was actually one of the nicer ones. He told me everything he was doing along the way. He was very polite and understanding about my concerns. What boggles my mind is that some how the original problem went away seemingly on its own. Overall I am completely satisfied with the company and I will be calling them again. I would highly recommed them to anyone.

I contacted Malone based on the reviews on Angie's list. The man I spoke to on the phone was courteous and professional. He sent two technicians out right away who looked at the boiler and gave us an estimate for the work. We thought it was fair and we had them do the work. They were timely, they completed the work on time and the cost of the service was as quoted. We will call Malone the next time we have any heating or plumbing problems, it was a very pleasant experience.

Arrived on time, completed the work in less than an hour. Later that afternoon, the valve sprung a leak again. I called and received service by 5 that eveing. Additional piece was required. I did not pay for labor the second time.
