Excellent job Arrived on time every day.. Each day the work was finished the kitchen was cleaned throughly. Easy to work with,flexible to your schedule. His work is so **** I will use him for any work in my home. The result of his work was a BEAUTIFUL kitchen ceiling,a clean kitchen and furniture and lighting fixtures in places.

Herb was nice and did a fine job, but he seemed a little annoyed that we were actually intending to use the full 2 hours. It was definitely still worth the money.

Herb was great!!!!!!!!! He was so professional and did an AMAZING job! We plan to have him back to do more work in our home!

Came on a Monday to start work on the wall. When the vanity was delivered, he quickly volunteered to help us remove the outer packaging and helped my boyfriend carry it up the stairs to the second floor. He noted the problem with the pipe and drawer and explained how he could still make it work. After he left at the end of the day we accidentally damaged the newly created wall, then messed it up more trying to fix it. He didn't make us feel like idiots and fixed it perfectly, adding on only for additional time spent. Very friendly, left the place perfectly clean and did an amazing job. We've already hired him to do other jobs.

First let me say that I called Herb on a Sunday, it was about 5 degrees outside (felt like 20 below) and it was Valentines day. He told me he could get here in a couple of hours and we were fine with that because we turned off the main water source to the house so further damage would be prevented. Then I realized we have forced hot water heat and when I called to tell him he said "I'll run to Home Depot and be right there because you can't go without heat in this weather." Once he got here he figured out the location of the pipe that burst. He had to cut through a small portion of the wall and replace the pipe. Herb is professional, fair, honest and very dependable. He didn't charge us for an "Emergency Call" which all of the big plumbing companies do. They charge $150 just to walk through the door. Herb's prices are fair and reasonable. I would recommend Herb to anyone who needs work done in your home. He is a "Jack of all trades" and is well versed in many areas. I know if you hire him you won't be over charged, jerked around and there certainly won't be any "surprise" charges added to your bill. These are all things we have experienced with other contractors.

I purchased a coupon from Angie's List for services from Herb Travis. From the very start he was hard to get a hold of and non-responsive. He finally came to the house after several weeks to look at the work we needed done. We chased him for several more months after that. He returned our calls a couple of times and promised to call us in "a couple of weeks". We never heard from him. I still have the unused coupon.

I would work with them if they actually called me back.

He tried to do the job but was unsuccessful, I wanted him to give me the money back because no work was done but wouldn't because of the amount of time he spent on the project.

He does an excellent job, I have no complaints and would highly recommend him!

Terrible. After stripping the roof he left and didn't put a tarp over the stripped area. We got heavy rain and as a result my screened porch and family room had heavy water damage. His insurance company ended up gutting the porch and family room and rebuilding. The cost to his insurance company totaled over $11,000.

Everything went fine. His workmanship is always excellent, his prices are fair and he is a very nice guy. He shows up when he says he will and there is never any "hidden costs" It's nice to have someone you can trust and depend on to fix the things you can't or don't have time for. Like I said, this is the second time we have used Herb's services and we will continue to use him.

It went great and we would definitely ask for Herb's help again - anytime. He's knowledgeable about a wide variety of repair work and even did a couple of extra things. Great job and well worth it. the price was reasonable and I'm very happy with the result. I would definitely ask him to come out and give us estimates on some other work that needs to be done (and in fact have already asked him for this).

Explained exactly what he was doing with faucet, how it worked, showed worn parts, etc.

Herb was very prompt in returning my phone message (same day); coming out to assess work and getting me a very fair price quote the following day. He was even able to start the work within the week. Herb was on-time and courteous even calling each time to explain when he would be arriving. The work ran an extra day and over cost estimate due to unanticipated electrical issues and extra jobs I came up with but Herb's additional billing charge was very reasonable. I am very pleased with everything--his professionalism, workmanship, cost, promptness. The best compliment I can give Herb is that I would certainly use his services again and and already recommended him to others.

He was excellent. He called back right away and gave an excellent price. Everything went well and I would recommend him to anybody.

I wasn’t too happy. It wasn’t worth it for what he did. The rain goes right through the gutters. He did fix a door and tack down a draft strip in the kitchen for me properly. He was also here for less than two hours.

|Herb was good about working with tenants and communicating with me. His full day of labor made him $600.00, but I can't be unhappy about that, since that is what he told me before I hired him. I guess he was efficient and skilled, so good for him.

Herb did a very good job, and was always available to talk when I called. Very professional.

I was very pleased to receive a phone message this summer from Herb Travis of Herb Travis Handyman Services acknowledging that I had purchased some future labor time through Angie's List. I believe I returned his call and told him if we needed plumbing service at one of our rental houses that summer in Rhode Island that we would call him and use the Angie's List credit hours. However, the need did not arise for plumbing. No work was contracted nor started with Herb Travis so I am applying for a refund of the two credit hours I bought May 29, 2013 for his service. So far, I am impressed with the quick and friendly response of Angie's List for this refund application and would not hesitate to use Angie's list in the future. This company is very easy, consumer friendly and helpful to use. Thank you!

Herb was professional showed up on time. I originally bought the big deal for the 15% off a bigger job however Herb said that was no longer apart of the deal but the sole purpose to me purchasing the big deal was to get a quote and hopefully a good deal to have my whole house which is all two prong outlets updated. Herb said that really wasn't his forte but he'd help me find someone he knew to give me a quote. Time passed I didn't hear from him for one reason or another and to be honest I forgot about it and couldn't recall anything I wanted him to do in the two hr time frame so if rather get the refund. I'd use herb but couldn't think of anything I'd have him do in the two hours when I was set on the electric.

He is neat, pleasant and I have already identified other handyman tasks I need done. Herb will be back to do them for me.

Everything went fine. Herb was professional, hardworking and most importantly he was honest! He returned my call promptly and came the next morning to give me a free estimate. His price for the finished work was more than fair and there were no "hidden costs." I most definitely will use Herb again and recommend him to family and friends.

Because the shower was original to the house, it was a nonstandard size. the floor was sagging, and there was mold damage. Herb was honest about what needed to be done, and tried to keep my costs down when he could. He ran into trouble finding a new shower stall to fit the space and ended up making adjustments to the plumbing to accommodate the new shower. It took longer than expected, but Herb stayed with the job until it was done. The result was clean and attractive and functional. I had just rebuilt the bathroom because of a devastating leak and mold damage. If I had known Herb at the time I would have hired him to do everything. He is a real pro, does a beautiful job and is worth every penny.
