All Shine Tub & Tile Reglazing

It went absolutely terrible. I first hired this man after he was recommended from a local business owner. I called him in May and he did not show up or call after we made an appointment. A few days later, he called and apologized, and we made a new appointment. He showed up for this one and was very nice. He glazed my tub and sink, and at first glance, it looked good. A few hours later, the paint started to sag in several areas and there were large drips.Some areas were rough when it dried and were not smooth and shiny. I called him and he said he would come back and fix it. After several weeks of him not returning my calls/texts, he contacted me to make a new appointment, which he did not show up for. Again,I called him and finally got in touch and he promised to return. He showed up, said he did not expect to have to do this much work on the tub, and was unprepared to do the work that day. We rescheduled yet again, and he left. He did not show up for the next appointment either, and I had to chase him down again. When he finally got in touch with me, he went on and on about his personal problems that prevented him from showing up. We made a new appointment, which he showed up for, late, and you guessed it...the tub and sink looked even worse this time.I called him for weeks after and he did not answer. We made another appointment, which he did not show up for, AGAIN. He finally called and I told him I wanted my money back, etc, and he refused. He said he would come out here again, which was today, and when he showed up this morning he brought his young son with him and was not prepared to do the work. The entire tub is now bubbling and peeling, as is the sink. I can literally lift the entire glazing off the tub and remove it myself. It has a terrible chemical smell to it. This morning he suggested that moisture possibly got onto the paint while it was wet, however there was literally no plumbing or water connection in this bathroom for two months after he did this work, so that is not possible. He then tried to say that the product was faulty. After doing some investigating, I have found out his contractor license (#21990) has been revoked in RI due to negligent work, breach of contract, etc, and his insurance was cancelled due to the fact that he owed them money. I will not be allowing him back in my house to finish this work, as I am sure it will just look worse. I am going to make a claim with the State of RI Contractor's Registration Board today and will take him to small claims court if I have to. I have looked at my phone records from May-August and I have called him over 40 times. Do NOT hire this guy. His name is Ameth Alzate and the company is called All Shine Tub and Tile Reglazing.
