I reached out to John for a quote on moving a very large round chair that wouldn't fit in my stairwell from first floor to second by hoisting it over a balcony. He was able to come out same day with his team. Their rate (for himself and 3 men) was the lowest around by far and they were done in just 15 minutes. Prompt, professional and no problems. I would definitely hire them again.

Excellent! It only took them around an hour to move everything to the garage, this included moving a very heavy Steinway upright piano to a room not being refinished. Very pleasant and professional. Not a scratch on our newly finished floors!

I called after seeing A rating and positive reviews on Angie's list. He said he could move my daughter on day requested. My daughters move was to an apartment in same complex she had been living in. No driving involved.Hecnfirmed and quoted me a price of 295.00. Day before move he emailed me he would arrive at 1 pm. He called day of move to say he would be there at 1:30pm. I told him this was fine he arrived at 3:30 pm. He was annoyed and rude. 3 young men who worked for him were very nice and polite. He kept grumbling about how much stuff there was. I was prepared to pay for the move then original estimate. When the move was 3/4 done he announced he was leaving as his next customer was "screaming " at him. I had too practically beg him to at least take 2 heavy boxes and another piece befor they left. He took these items and drove the 2 seconds to new apartment he and the 3 young men unloaded the truck. He never made any attempt to place items in a the right place. The 3 young men working with the owner tried to do their best, but the boss just wanted the move over. He asked for more money even though he didn't finish the job. I gave it to him to get rid of him. I have moved several times in my life I have never had a mover leave without finishing the job. He left my daughter and I to move several heavy things and it took us about 3 hours. He is a mover I assume for a long time. People hire movers so they won't have to do the " heavy lifting" This was the worst moving eerie ce I have ever had. My daughter moved from a 3 bedroom apartment. How much furniture could she have had compared to a house move. Please don't use this mover unless you want to be overcharged and treated rudely and left with a lot of work to do . I don't understand how Angies list gave him an A rating.

John and his crew were friendly and professional. They were very careful with our furniture and our house. Every piece of furniture was wrapped to prevent scratches while in the POD. When the furniture was moved back into the house, they placed felt pads on anything that may have scratched the refinished floors. They had asked me to have them ready when they moved us back into the house so the floors would not get scratched. I was very impressed with the entire move and have already recommended this company to friends and family.

John was excellent. He took care in moving the bureaus and he fixed the broken leg on on of them at no extra charge. He was very kind and considerate.

We had hired them weeks earlier but reservations were expressed because it required that a window be removed in order to move a very large couch from the 1st to 2nd floors. John was worried about damaging the window and also whether he had brought a large enough crew and the right equipment. It took some planning about the window and a new date needed to be set for the move. The crew worked hard and did a fantastic job maneuvering the furniture. Lots of diligent heavy labor. My sole complaint was over punctuality. There may have been a communication lapse or misunderstanding; as they did not arrive when expected. When I called to check on them; John did not seem to know that he had scheduled the job with me. But after the crew arrived I had no complaints about their work.

Disappointing.

The company was very accommodating; we had to change the details a couple of times and they had no problem with that. The two young men they sent arrived late and caused a little anxiety with that but then they worked very quickly and well. The company didn't charge us for the time they wasted on the front end. I can't remember the price but it was quite a bit lower than the competition, a great deal.

The price was reasonable and they did a good job. We were very pleased.

I called them twice and they never called me back.

My wife and I were moving to Providence from Illinois, and we contacted John Roberts to unload our truck. My wife scheduled the date, time, number of movers needed, size of truck, etc. and John Roberts gave us a very reasonable quote. We booked the scheduled move and got an email confirmation from John Roberts that said "all set!" As the move approached, we called a couple of days before to re-confirm and make sure everything was in place, and John Roberts said he had never heard of us, had no record of of our appointment or confirmation, and that we would be unable to do the move on "such short notice." With only a couple of days before our move (which was scheduled for a Sunday), we called every other mover we could find and couldn't find anyone else to do it ourselves. Ultimately, my father-in-law had to do the unloading ourselves after driving the 15 hours from Illinois. I can't speak to the quality of John Roberts as a mover since he never actually moved with us, but based on my experience of trying to work with him, I cannot recommend him to someone else.

From the second the crew arrived, they got to work. All 3 movers were very polite. John the Owner was always mindful of his crew and their safety. He would contantly talk them through the process while ensuring they were rested and had good footing. I was extremely pleased with the service, price and care that John and his crew took while moving my furniture.

Called the firm and he gave us a rough price immediately over the phone. It turned out to be the exact ending price. We have a piano, organ, and massive furniture from the bedroom, living room, and home office. We also have a handmade heavy oak dining room set. Ornate and delicate, the set was made in 1890. Also have heavy glass and marble tables and grandfather clock. This firm is certified for piano moving. That's why I called them. Everything went off without a hitch. Four guys (including the owner). I wasn't home when they moved the stuff out but it took them about three hours. They then came back at 7:30 on a Saturday evening because they wanted to set up our bed so we could sleep in our own house. Instead, two hours later, they had put everything back in place. Saturday night of Labor Day weekend and these men are working. Outstanding. We were especially mesmerized by a very thin young man on the crew who had taken everything apart and then put it all back together. Smart as a whip. He even knew how to put the antique oak dining room set back together. When they were putting the baby grand piano back into place, this young man said "the curve of the piano goes directly under that step of the stairs." Unbelievable. I would describe our furniture as 'behemoth.' It's all huge and heavy. I can't find the words to describe this company and crew.
