CAUTION! INSTALL FINE, BUT BEWARE IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, EVEN WITH WARRANTY. After a successful boiler install by New England Boiler, we found ourselves a year and a half later waking up one late winter Saturday with no heat. Still well within the warranty time, we called Steve and left a message about our problem. We did not hear back from him and although we were cold, gave him the benefit of the doubt that it was the weekend so waited in the cold until Monday. Called again Monday and did not receive a call that day. We finally called around to find a company that could help us immeidately and indeed there was a large problem with the boiler itself that cost us $2500... and our warranty was not with this new company. By the end of the entire week we had still never heard back from Steve. When we finally got him, he admitted that he had been on vacation. Our original message was left on his work phone and there was no mention that he would not respond to calls. After we explained what happened, his first response was that we had overpaid to have it fixed (lol - as opposed to having it covered under the warranty he provided but was not available to service?) then told us he would have to come look at it and would call to set up a time. He never did. We called again numerous times, finally got him at one point and he said that he would see if his insurance would cover it. Again, he never called back. We were always polite and goal oriented, just wanting to find a resolution to the problem that he was unavailable to fix our warrantied boiler and left us no choice for repair when we were out heat while he vacationed. After several months of calls and letters, we sent a final certified letter offering to meet him at a refund of $1000 - $1500 less than we paid - just to move on and not feel we had been completely screwed over. Still, no repsonse. So are now going to file in small claims court for the $2500 we are out on our New England Boiler installed and warrantied boiler. I promise you that we have been professional, patient, and interested in resolution only. He has literally ignored us for months. My advice after having been told now by many people - try Atlantic for reasonable price and excellent service.

Ok...so we are jumping on the 5 star bandwagon!! It's been about a month since we had our entire boiler replaced & we could not be more pleased with the peace of mind. We opted to support the small local business over of the big call center companies. We had a sense it would be less painful and we were right. Steve [the owner] has been in business since the 90s and this is all they do-and you can tell! He came -assessed our needs, clearly explained everything and quoted us a price. The final billing shockingly had no surprises or hidden costs. A rarity these days!! You can trust this company. A BONUS was the staff. We are huge fans of Nate [super OCD haha] & Josh our techs. They work together like a well oiled machine [pun intended]. Bottom line: truly exceptional company & service you can trust.

I had received multiple quotes from other companies and chose New England Boiler Works and I am glad I did. They showed up on time and took out the old boiler and water tank and installed the new boiler and water tank in one day. They were polite and professional and left the area clean and neat. I have already recommended them to one of my friends and would highly recommend to anyone.

I could not ask for a more seamless experience! From the removal of the original furnace that had to be over 60 years old, to the installation of the new furnace, Steve and his crew were exceptional!

Steve is awesome. At 8:00 at night, our indirect hot water heater split and started pouring water everywhere. We called New England Boiler Works at 8:30 on a Friday night...and they answered the phone on the second ring!!! By 3 o’clock on Saturday we had a new water heater installed! Ultra professional and a very fair price given the weekend. Would absolutely recommend this company to anyone.

Steve and his team are very efficient. I read all the other reviews on him and his company and this is why I chose him. Customer service is his top priority! Has no time for issues, but all the time to answer your questions and put you at ease. Very happy with the job he did!!

It went great! Steve gave us the best estimate of 3 that we received. Once we contacted him we had an appointment for a new boiler within about 9 days which was fine because it was not an emergency. Steve gave us a few options and educated us about indirect water heaters. They came on time the day they had scheduled and they finished earlier than I thought. Their work was very neat and they cleaned up the area beautifully when they were finished. They even found a damaged water pipe and fixed it for me as part of the install since it was connected to the boiler. I would recommend Steve to everyone.

Was done all in one day, they arrived on time, made sure to keep everything clean and worked in a system that removed old boiler and installed and tested new boiler. Steve explained the system and took the time to answer all my questions.

Steve Rossie responded immediately, answered all my questions clearly and politely, and came by promptly to assess the job. He gave me an exact quote - which was literally thousands of dollars below all the other contractors. He explained he succeeds as he does because he SPECIALIZES in boilers. The work was done punctually, neatly, and right on time. If you need boiler work, look no further. Can't say enough good things about the workmanship.

From the day we met Steve Rossi, we had a good feeling about him and his business. One of the reasons was because he is an owner/operator; that has been a great experience for us when choosing contractors, and this one was great too! He was honest and forthright up-front with our options, even though they were somewhat limited by the requirements of the oil to gas conversion program we were signed up for. Steve and Todd were excellent in their professionalism and work. They installed a new Navien combi (gas heat and on-demand hot water) unit in one day, and we couldn't be happier with the work that was done. From the start with the removal crew, they were neat and orderly, laying down paper/cloth to protect the home, even in the basement areas! The cleanup and restoration was even better than when they started. To date there have been no concerns or issues, and the unit runs as quiet as it is sold as. It's ability to keep up with the hot water demands of a 4 person household (2 women included) is great. I would recommend Steve and his team for future work at your house, and would hire him and his team again!!

Steve installed a Bryant propane boiler, an air conditioner coil, and outside compressor for us. He was one of two quotes we got, the lowest. Steve and his team are a well oiled machine, no nonsense, getting down to work within minutes of arriving on the job, completing the job in a single day, never taking a break. He left the basement spotless, given that the equipment he ripped out was installed in 1960, and though still running, was pretty much falling apart as they dissaembled it - quite a mess. And the oil tank had to be emptied because it was 3/4 full - he did this expertly and took everything away. Steve is also a terrific guy, a no BS kind of guy I would be proud to have as a friend. He's a solid family guy who knows what's important in life, among the most important for him insuring he has happy customers. He's a consumate pro, who clearly loves what he's doing, and it showed with every interaction I had with him. The system he installed works extremely well, and we could not be happier. We chose to go with a conversion from oil to propane for a year, and then plan to add a conversion kit and switch to natural gas once it's available on our street. The town has a 5 year moratorium on any street digging, which expires this time next year. I can honestly say that I will be recommending N.E. Boiler Works to family & friends without hesitation, so they too can experience the Steve Rossi premium treatment and results.

Steve installed a Williamson oil boiler and indirect water heater for us. He was one of three quotes we got, the lowest -- in one case by thousands of dollars. Steve also gave a firm quote, whereas the next lowest bid was an "estimate." When Steve gave us his quote, he told us that we should be aware that some installers give "estimates" and then find excuses to bill more than their quote. This was a big and unexpected expense for us, so we really couldn't bear the risk of that kind of uncertainty. Steve and his helper did the job in a single day, never taking a break. He left the basement spotless and the install included a lot of iron piping and cutoff valves at every inlet/outlet. Steve is also a very nice guy, a no pressure salesman who offered to requote with different equipment if we wanted to compare 'apples to apples' with other quotes or wanted different equipment. Since the install, everything has been great and the indirect water heater is a huge improvement both for rock steady water temperature (a big change for us) and for the boiler run time, which should save us substantial expense especially over the warmer months.
