It went wonderful. Marc is a genuine nice guy. The final outcome was beautiful.

The removal of the trees went smoothly, and I have no issue with that. The problem for me is that Mark Lawrence does not stay on the property while the job is being performed. He sends a crew of workers to do the job, which I did not know. I feel that I had spent all of this time going over the job, and essentially he is not even here to oversee the work being performed. The crew completely ruined our Norway Spruce, and was completely aggressive with their cutting of it's limbs. We had to run out of our home and flag down the man doing the work, and get him to stop cutting. We asked that only low hanging branches (the ones touching our cars) be trimmed. The company completely ruined this tree, and changed the landscape of our yard forever. Our house, once full of privacy, is now completely exposed to the road. The workers said they thought that is what we wanted. We never expressed an interest in having our house completely exposed to the road. The beauty of this tree is completely gone, and we cannot get a response from Mark Lawrence. He sent someone to our house the very next day to grind the stumps from some of the other trees that were removed. They did this without even knocking on our door to say they were on the property. I feel that now that Mr. Lawrence has cashed his check, he is completely avoiding us. I regret paying him in the middle of the job, as he then left and the problem with the Norway Spruce occurred, and we haven't heard from him again. While I realize there is nothing that can be done for the tree, I am completely disappointed in this company, and wish I never hired Mark Lawrence. I have contacted him three times, and did not get a response. I also feel that the company left a mess of wood chips in the place of the ground stumps, even though we let them know we did not want any wood mulch. I did contact Mark to find out if they would clean this up, and I have not received a response.
Description of Work: We met Mark Lawrence at our home and we spoke to him about the work we wanted to do, which included removing several trees, and trimming the low hanging branches on our Norway Spruce. We agreed to the estimate, and expressed our desire to have the trees and branches removed from our property. He was prompt with his estimate, and coming over to look at our property.

Response from LAWRENCES CORRECTIVE TREE
1st off I was a little late but I did show and stay on property. No one came and ran out because he was there watching us trim the tree. Several times he looked and went about his business. That tree is perfect. We helped the tree if anything. I never asked to be paid he just paid me. I also told them when the stumps were getting done and I did it. She verbally attacked us. Vulgar language and threats. I left shortly before the end. The neighbors personally called me to tell me how good the property looked. I can get proof.

The two young men that came to do the job were awesome. They did it the old way and climbed the pine cut that one then moved over to the oak. They cleaned up everything all in time for the next storm!
Description of Work: Lawrence Tree just happened to be working on my street so I called. Mark gave me a very reasonable estimate to remove a pine tree that had become uprooted and was leaning against another tree during hurricane Sandy and also a huge branch of an oak tree that was over hanging my house. They weren't able to do it on the same day they were on the street but they came back the very next day.

The bid was for $2400. Theirs was the highest of all the bids that I got. It was way out of line. It took them three days to call me back. I only interacted with them over the phone. To me it seemed like they were not interested in doing the work. I had no trouble getting five bids on one day except theirs. I did not use them. I eventually got the work done for $1800.

I was very concerned about the trees and large limbs over the house and driveway and was only waiting for one of those massive limbs to come crashing down on the roof. One massive limb broke off and crushed the wooden shed out back. The men worked with extreme diligence and professionalism, as well as the expertise associated with experience. I've had people remark how this has opened up the property and certainly removed the danger of structural damage to the house, as well as surrounding property and structures. I had them leave the wood for me and have gotten 8 cords out of it.
Description of Work: 10,000 sf lot with 15 mature oak trees. Several large limbs extended over roof of house,(25' long, 8' diameter) 3 trees needed to be removed completely, while 5 trees needed pruning & removal of many large limbs. A 2 man crew with bucket truck and large chipper shredder started work at 0730 and finished, with no breaks, at 1630. All limbs and tree sections were tied off and cut & lowered to the ground, so as not to damage fence or neighbors' garage or my house. They returned the next morning to finish the work on 3 trees in front yard-1.5 hours. All small branches and debris was cleaned and removed. Large limbs and trunks were felled, cut and left in place for me to have cut & split for firewood.

They cut down one very large and 2 medium-sized trees in urban back yard. Very efficient, no damage to surrounding structures. They also dug out the stump of one of the trees. Did little extras while they were here, like cutting back some branches on other trees.
