I didn't schedule a move with this company because Chris Corrigan, the owner, was rude through the entire conversation, even belittling me several times for having to schedule a move on short notice. He gave me a loud and rather obnoxious speech about how they were the oldest and best movers in Rhode Island. He also implied that per R.I. law he has to charge 1/2 hour for travel from their office, both ways, even if they are located "right across the street." He was quite overbearing through the entire call, telling me that from my brief description of my belonings it would cost me somewhere around $500 to $1,000 and that he didn't need to come out to give me a quote. I think that is a pretty big range - maybe $500, maybe double! Feeling as if I just had to find someone, I said ok, and then he told me I would be subject to a charge of $324 if I cancelled after our phone call, even saying that the phone call was being recorded (only mentioning this supposed recording, however, when he brought up this fee). I figure this is really not true, but it was the last of several bad signs during this brief conversation. Fortunately I found another company with a calm, professional phone representative, who simply asked for notice as soon as possible if I needed to cancel.

It went very well. Workers were very nice and asked questions before and during the move. Gave me all the heads up I had needed on everything, especially as to what they are liable for, etc. Had a few scratches on the walls, but nothing major. I forgot the service charges were from when they leave the office to when they get back. They fluffed up the hours a bit but I considered it a tip for the hard work they did.

It was very hard to find movers without minimum hours/charges or that would show up to provide an estimate. Calling to schedule a date was very easy. Had Al's crew and they were awesome. Showed up on time and worked carefully and fast. Wrapped all the furniture to prevent damage. Price came in on the lower end of the range given to him over the phone. Would absolutely use them again.

I had Al's team and they were was wonderful. They called to confirm before they got on the road. They arrived on time. They worked at a very fast pace, taking no down time. They were efficient, careful, professional and eager to do a good job. I had multiple requests regarding the placement and transferring of pieces and they quickly understood and happily agreed to do everything exactly as I asked. The price I paid was within the price that I was originally quoted, which was particularly nice given that I had asked the men to make an extra stop and they still managed to get the job done within the time estimate. On top of this, the men were pleasant to work with. I would recommend the crew and this company to anyone and I definitely plan to use them again in the future.

They were wonderful. They put every piece of furniture in place, and they were very considerate.They were on time and worked very hard. They price was great too!

The movers showed up early in the time window provided and had my apartment moved into my new house in 3 1/2 hrs and took special care not to damage any of the hardwood flooring.

Everything went really well. They showed up right on time, got the truck loaded before anyone in the neighborhood could complain. They actually moved faster than I could keep up with them which caused me to forget a couple of things (I own both houses, so it was no big deal). I helped them with disassembly of some of my furniture which sped up the process and cut down the cost a bit, but they were happy to do it on their own. Would definitely use again.

The guys who were sent for my move were great! They did an awesome job moving my things carefully and navigating a tricky stairwell.

Corrigan Moving was expedient; professional; and respectful of household members, household, and our personal possessions. The movers were conversational while they loaded and unloaded the truck. The movers were very pleasant: greeting us upon their arrival and politely dismissing themselves at the completion of the move as they asked if they had done what we requested and needed. |I have had the pleasure of using Corrigan Moving professionally and though I was happy with their service, I was more impressed when I used them to relocate my person household ... my appreciation for their service certainly has grown! |Though I gave "A" ratings except for Punctuality which I rated as "B", in all fairness I must explain this rating. I was scheduled to move three days earlier but the snow storm prevented this due their concern for safety and the cost I would incur because they would have to work slower! I know that the snow slowed their arrival so I am pleased I just could not rate Punctuality differently as the rating appears to be objective.

I was super stressed out after selling my home and buying a new home in the country. They arrived on time and got me moved to the new house and unpacked in 5 1/2 hours which was just amazing! They made me feel relaxed and even had me laughing at their jokes during the move. They were professional and took care with everything they moved - asking me where I wanted everything placed that I hadn't marked. I had bad experiences with past moving companies but these guys were top notch. I would recommend them to everyone!!

Movers were on time. Worked carefully, efficiently and were very professional. Took great care not to damage furniture. 3 movers moved us in about 3 1/2 hours without any damage. I would definitely recommend them and would use them again.

The movers were very punctual and worked hard from start to finish. I would def. hire again. The only problem I had was it was a cash service only. I was so stressed from moving that I forgot and had to run and get money at the end of move. The three men were very patient and helped me figure out the best place to get money on a weekend.

It is a father-son team. I've used them for my mother, brother, and myself. I've used them for the past 9 years. They've never scratched anything. They are topnotch. I originally got recommended to them by a former teacher. They are competitively priced. I trust them.

Meticulous, strong guys. Great job. Charged by the hour, moved really fast! I requested a quick stop in between and the additional fee was fair and they didn't mind at all (at least they didn't act like the minded). The guys had great personalties and took the stress out of the move.

Poor from the beginning, no start time was established nor confirmed. Secondly, the movers did not consult with the homeowner in what was the plan/starting place for items to be removed. Instead, the movers started in the private bedrooms (where personal and high valued items whwe stored) without asking the owners permission. Lastly, after the move initiated there was a 5 minute delay in searching for a misplaced item of significant value(not the workers fault). The worker decided to stop the job after feeling like he was an accused "criminal/thief", after a simple question did you move the jewlery box with the bureau?. No specific person or action was accussed of a crime. There was no larceny crime and the item was recovered after a brief search. The job could have continued without any further problems. However, the employee decided to stop the job after "feeling accused" causing a major disruption to an easy move job normally. All parties thus overreacted. I did not intend to hurt workers feelings with a simple question. I only wanted my personal furnishings to be moved in a professional manner and did not receive that service. Instead, I received nothing and left an employee with bad/hurt feelings. Sometimes things dont work out for good reason.

The older man with whom I initially made contact was a bit grumpy but subsequent contact with younger man who owns company was much more professional and friendly. They charge $90/hr for a truck with 3 men. They were prompt, efficient, hard working, didn't scratch a thing. No complaints, worked hard, great attitude.

The workers themselves were great, punctual, professional, careful and hard working. I was all set to give a rave review on Angie's list (where I found the company) until the end of the job. When the workers called the boss at 3:00pm he told them to mark the receipt for job end time 4:30pm. I had been told ahead that I would pay hourly from leaving the warehouse to time of return, but it is 17 miles from the house to the warehouse and this clearly doesn't take 90 minutes even in a truck. When I disputed the end time by calling the boss it was like talking to a wall, he just kept stating that it did take an hour and a half to get back from where we were, so I ended up paying for the extra hour because I did not want the company to take it out of the workmen's pay. It pains me to say, because the workmen were so good, but I will never recommend or use this company again because of the management. I hope they pay their workmen what they are worth.

They arrived on time. I took them on a quick survey of the apartment and they began moving immediately. They started at about 8:30 am and were finished loading by 11 am. They were courteous and friendly, and for the most part got everything in the correct rooms in the new house. Unload took about 90 minutes.

This company was wonderful, they were careful of all our belongings and everything arrived intact. They placed things in the correct rooms a our new place and were polite and considerate. I could not give these guys a better recommendation. I do not recall the cost of the movers, but it was very reasonable for all that they needed to do.

THEY GOT ME MOVED INTO MY NEW APARTMENT WITHIN FOUR HOURS OF WHEN THEY STARTED. THEY WERE VERY CAREFUL WITH MY POSSESSIONS. I HAD DONE SOME OF THE WORK AHEAD OF TIME, BUT I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THEIR SERVICE.

THEY BROKE SOME OF MY CHINA AND THEY SCRATCHED MY ENTERTAINMENT CENTER PRETTY BAD. I THOUGHT THEY WERE AN AVERAGE COMPANY. THEY DID MAKE UP FOR THE BROKEN AND DAMAGED ITEMS, SO I REALLY CAN'T COMPLAIN MUCH.

THEY DID NOT BREAK OR SCRATCH ANYTHING. THEY DID A GREAT JOB WITH EVERYTHING. ALL OF THE WORKERS WERE VERY CAREFUL. THEY WERE A FEW MINUTES LATE, BUT IT WASN'T A BIG DEAL. THEY DID A GREAT JOB.
